You Have My Heart!

 Hello and Happy Thursday!

Misty @Mommyofkidz here today. Have you been over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store lately and checked out all the new arrivals? If not, you should take a couple of minutes and check it out RIGHT HERE.  I have already started filling my shopping cart!

Today I am sharing a scrapbook layout featuring my Hunky Hubby and myself on our wedding day. This layout is loaded with beauties from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store. The Wild Orchid White Magnolia that is in the center of my floral cluster is one of the treasures you will find in the NEW items in the store. Now you know why I was so excited!  In addition the the magnolia, I have also used some Wild Orchid Open Roses.  The pink and white buds are all from the RRR store. I truly have grown addicted to these buds.  If I am honest, my order history would show my addiction!  Ha HA!!  I may or may not need a name tag that reads:

***Hi, My name is Misty and am ADDICTED to Really Reasonable Ribbon AND Flowers!!**

Also, if I am honest, that plate of food in front of me in that photo NEVER got touched.  I heard it was delicious, though!!  Another reason that I stress capturing and scrapbooking your memories! Peep the hidden journaling that I have tucked behind my photo.

In addition to the florals, you will also notice a few other beauties in this close up.  I hand stitched each and every square with Silver Metallic String. It was a bit of a time commitment, but OH how I love the results! You will also notice that I have woven some Sharon White Crochet Lace around the edges.  I wanted this to be as dainty and feminine as I could possibly make it, and lace just does that effortlessly.

My layout matches the card that I shared earlier in the month. I must have been in a floral mood or something when I started these projects!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope that I have inspired you in some way to get crafty with ribbon, twine, or flowers!!  You can pick then all up at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store!!

Street Party Scrapbook Layout

Hello all my fellow ribbon lovers and Happy Monday!  Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here today, and before I share my project, I have a question for you.

What is your favorite thing to do with your ribbon?

The answer is easy for me. I LOVE to make boutique style hair bows. However, I also very much love to scrapbook, and I almost always use ribbon, twine, or lace on my layouts. I have one more question, then I will share...lol.  I know, I know...it is way too early on a Monday for all this! (ha ha)

What type of ribbon craft would you like to see more of on the blog?

Ok, now that we have played "20 questions", I will share! :) (Two...Twenty...who's counting!!?? :)  Anyway, today I am sharing a layout with you featuring some 4th of July Festivities.

I did this as part of a Progressive Challenge that I participated in recently, so it is just a bit different than my normal style, but I am in love with how this turned out! I used several bits and pieces from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store on this....

There were four steps to the Progressive Challenge, and as I was building this layout, I had no clue what the next step would be. Ultimately, one could end up with a jumbled mess, or something amazing.  I got lucky that my layout turned out to be something that I love!

I began with the ribbon on the bottom title strip, which I pleated so that it could be seen better. The 5/8 Red Poppy Satin Ribbon was a perfect match to the vintage paper that I chose to start my layout with.

I also used some jute string which I LOVE and use on quite a lot of my projects.  While I have used the natural color, I do have it in several other colors that can be found in the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.

Peep all the mulberry roses that I have used! Y'all, I can not tell you enough how addicted to these things I am! I don't know if I have every color yet, but my stash has certainly grown! I used the 10mm open roses on this layout in red, white, and blue obviously.

While I had no clue how this would turn out when I began, I fell in love with each step along the way. Part of the reason that I love it so much is the "eye candy" that I was able to add to enhance the overall "vibe" of the layout. Most of which came from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I certainly hope that you have gained some inspiration today, and I also hope that you will leave a comment for me answering my questions that I began with today. I genuinely would LOVE to know!!

Thank you all for stopping by and have a Creative and Crafty Week!!

Picture Perfect Scrapbook Layout

I know that you all use ribbon on your cards, but
have you ever used ribbon or twine in your scrapbook layouts?
Adding a simple scrap piece of ribbon or leftover twine can completely change your layout.
Actually, it can elevate a pretty layout into a beautiful work of heart!

Howdy Ribbon Lovers!
Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here today sharing a scrapbook layout featuring
lots of beautiful treasures from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.
These photos are from 2021-when this old lady lost her mind and gained a new last name.
Yes-I am that old lady. I was 45 in these photos
and happier than I had been in many years.
I wanted to keep the focus on my dress and boots, so I chose a very
muted color palette to work with.
I wanted to enhance the elegance of the photos while maintaining the country look.  Therefore, I mixed lace and gingham with pearls and roses...topped off with some burlap string for good measure.  This Collection by 49 & Market was perfect
and matched effortlessly with the elements that I chose from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The Sharon White Crochet Lace paired with the Bluebird Plaid Ribbon was a match made in heaven! I have been coveting both of these for quite a while in the RRR Store, and I finally broke down and added them to my order.  I absolutely adore this combonation and I will be using it more as I work with my wedding photos! I also tossed some mulberry paper flowers and Ivory burlap string into the mix, along with a few strategically placed flat back white pearls.

When I put it all together, I realized that this was the perfect recipe and exact ingredients that I needed to maintain the integrity of my photos, while enhancing the beauty of the day.  The embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon complimented my layout and kept my photos "Picture Perfect".

Thank you all for stopping by today! Before you go, answer this one question...is there something over in the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store that you have had your eye on?  Is there a project that you want to use it on?  Stop waiting!  Today is the day to set your plans in motion! When you finish it up, drop a link in the comments, as I would LOVE to see!

Christmas in July Scrapbook Layout using RRR

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to you all! DT Member Cheryl here today, and Im sharing a 2 page layout I did using Really Reasonable Ribbons Score-tape, foam tabs and some ribbon.

So for today's fun layouts I chose to do no sewing. I normally use a lot of scor-tape when I don't sew on my pages as this is what I use to hold them together. When I do sew I use it to attach photos matts, main page to the back layer, and all my little pieces will have either scor-tape or foam tabs to hold them on.

Photos below show how I did it for this page here.

I also used the scar-tape for the pieces running through the middle of my pages. For the little kids I used foam tabs.

The Really Reasonable Ribbon I chose to use is the crosshatched satin found here  , love how it looks on both of my pages. Now for the trees, title, reindeer, and reindeer kid these are all SVG's Ive cut on the cricut and pieced together.

I do hope you enjoyed my post today and thank you so much for stopping by! Hugs to all, Cheryl

Forever Fall Book Box

Temperatures are dropping and Fall is upon us! I just love this time of year! Hello friends! Linsey here today sharing my latest altered project, a lovely book box keepsake to commemorate all the beauty and love this season holds.
The box is covered inside and out with 12x12 papers. The front is decorated with a variety of Fall stickers, chipboard and die cuts. I added a lovely array of flowers to the front as well. They include: WOC Open Roses Orange, WOC Open Roses Deep Ivory, WOC Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms White, and all edges were covered with washi tape.
The opening holds a pretty tag and features flowing Orange Ribbon from the Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon Autumn Assortment and Theresa White Crochet Lace. The tag is attached with a blue button tied with Burlap String Natural
Inside the box is a space for journaling and there are large tags meant for adding photos from the season as well as more journaling areas. More tags could be added or even small mementos to keep inside the box.
I really enjoyed putting this project together. I hope you've enjoyed seeing it!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day! Until next time, happy crafting!

All Hallow's Eve Mini Album Page

Hello everyone.  Today I have another page for the mini album I've been working on. This one is the All Hallow's Eve page designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon, and will be for Halloween photos. On this page I wanted to use the beautiful ribbons from the September Ribbon Club Assortment as they are all so pretty!

So for this page I used black card stock for the base, and made it so it's open on both sides for easy attachment to the album. Next I created the flaps and pockets using Graphic45 design papers. I kept the decorations  pretty simple for this page. I did add beautiful ribbons from the Septembers Ribbon Club, some covered buttons, bats, and a candy. I love making these pages to be interactive and have lots of room for photos and journaling. Hope you enjoy my post, as I've also included a little video showing how the page opens.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies used:
Scor-Tape
Tape refill scotch
Delicate Stitched Satin tangerine
Swiss dots black
diamond satin grape

Thank you for stopping by and have  a lovely day!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Shabby Chic Floral Delight - Page 3

Hello everyone, today I'm sharing another page for my large Shabby Chic Mini album that I have been working on. It's finally completed and I will share all the pages here on another day along with the video.

So for this page I created at the top a photo mat, along with a pocket. In my photos below I show the tag with the handmade flowers and greenery, all made from Really Reasonable Ribbons Seam Binding. I did add some Sweetheart Blossoms to it as well. I figured I will add another photo there, and also to the back. So for that one area I will get 3 photos.  I'm hoping to have all the photos put in place before I do my video.

On the bottom of the page I created an accordion file using Really Reasonable Ribbons bags, lace, bead trim, seam binding, and a button. It will hold 3 of those frames. For the photo I only have the pink polka dotted one showing. I figured another 6 photos should fit in there perfectly.

The die cuts I used are from the Scrapping Cottage and are the CottageCutz dies. I used the pretty bird cage, and oval with flowers on this.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies Used:
Seam Binding (Moss Green and Rose Petal)
Notebook Bitty Bags I used the larger ones and cut in half

I absolutely loved making this album, and all the pages inside. Can't wait to share the rest with everyone! Thank you for looking and have a super awesome day!

Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Ribbon with Scrapbooking

Way back in October when we did our monthly Blog Hop, Bonnie asked you all what you would like to see more of featured on the blog.  A few of you answered "scrapbook layouts"...as did some of you from the question a few days ago.  You want to see ideas on how to use ribbon on your scrapbooking layouts.
Well, I have done a couple of layouts since then, and today I want to take the opportunity to show them to you and tell you how I used the ribbon on each.

Here is "Pouty Face":
It features 2 ribbons from the RRR store...

I used the pink gingham as a bottom border for my photo and made a bow accent to go with my embellishment cluster.
The lace serves as the base of my layered borders.

I also did a Christmas layout that was featured with one of the December Challenges.
I wanted to show it again and tell you about the ribbon that I used.

Here is "I Do Believe":
I used 4 different ribbons on this one to make my ribbon banner.
topped with aqua seam binding.

To make the banner, I cut each "flag" piece and sealed the ends with a lighter.
I layered them just how I wanted them and then ran a straight stitch across the tops to bind them together.
Then, I tied loose knots in the seam binding and attached it to the top of the banner using fabric glue.

I LOVE scrapbooking and ribbon is one of my passions.
When I combine the 2, the results always make me happy!!!
I hope I have helped you a little bit today and given you ideas for using ribbon on your layouts.  Thanks for visiting me today and have a Magnificent Day!
