Cute & Spooky Card

Hi all,

It's my turn to be up on Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today. I am sharing the wonderful "Too Cute to Spook Mix" from the Reasonable Ribbon shop.
I made a cute little card with some Halloween paper I had in my stash from years ago. I am so glad I found this paper, it's so cute.  I used a cut apart sheet and cut out the coffin. I just love the cute Wonky Squares on White Satin Ribbon.  It looks great with this card. I also used the Baker's Twine Green in the black button. I also used the cute little Halloween Too Cute to Spook print on black grosgrain ribbon is adhered in the middle of the card.
Here is the inside of the card. So cute!  I thought this little card was perfect for this inside.
I used the 5/8" Gauze Print Satin Ribbon on the top of the cut apart card
and then used a black button with the Baker's Twine Green
Here is a close up of the bow I created using the
Thank you for joining me today. I hope you were inspired to make a Halloween Card. With Deepest Sympathy

Hi there ribbon lovers.  Today I have a sympathy card to share.  I find sympathy cards to be difficult to make and I like to keep them kind of simple.  I think this one fits the bill.  I topped the card off with a pretty bow I made with ribbon and string from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I was shooting for a CAS look, and for me this is pretty 'clean and simple'.  I did use multiple layers but I kept a clean background with the pretty leaf inclusion paper.  I stamped the sentiments and butterflies right on this artist paper.
The pretty die is the Cherry Blossom die from Cheery Lynn designs and I think it's perfect for this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on other products used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.

Humble and Simple

{judy} I adore this little Christmas manger set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps  - Joy to the World. It is sweet and cute at the same time. It has three great sentiments that come with the manger, but I chose a word from the Words of Life 1 Collection

I wanted my card to reflect the humble beginnings of Jesus' birth, and didn't want the embellishments too fussy. The 1.5" Natural Jute Ribbon that Bonnie carries in the RRR Store was absolutely perfect for what I was looking for. It continues the idea of a rough manger, and complements the patterned paper.

There are five beautiful colors of this Jute Ribbon, and I love them all! Check out all the Natural Fiber trims and ribbons HERE.

Thanks for spending some of your day here at Really Reasonable Ribbon!

Gather Blessings Woodland Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It's Kathy here with another fun card for fall.

I just love the colors and textures of fall, so I added lots and lots of both to this card made with Authentique Harvest papers.  The combination of humble burlap, homespun  Debra crochet lace, and rustic brown burlap string with Copper Glitz Ribbon is a real winner in my book!

The belly band was created with Antique Gold wired edge Burlap Ribbon. This is no longer carried by RRR (insert moment of silence here).  BUT you could easily get the same great texture by substituting either Antique Gold Netting or Brown Netting.

Of course, I tied that bodacious Copper Glitz bow with the aid of my trusty Bow it All Tool!  It's a must have item in my studio!  To learn how to make the most of it in your craft space, you can subscribe to the Really Reasonable Ribbon YouTube Channel.  Bonnie has an amazing array of helpful tutorials there.

That's all for me today, my friends!  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Anniversary Card

Hi friends.  Today I am sharing a sweet anniversary card.  My card stash is always lacking for anniversaries, so I have to get working on this!  My card today is embellished with pretty ribbons and mulberry flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I love my stash of Mulberry Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  When I'm running behind and just don't have the time to make handmade flowers, they are great to have on hand.  There is a HUGE variety of flower styles and the prices are very reasonable.  You might say 'Really Reasonable'!
I ran a strip of Royal Blue Delicate Stitched Satin across the center of the card topped with a piece of Grape Grosgrain with Silver Edges.  The bow was created with Grape and Royal Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon on my Bow-it-All V3.0.

For a video tutorial on how to make this pretty bi-color bow, please click HERE.
The dies I used on my card are all from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I love their huge selection of dies and they have the perfect die for any occasion.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on the other products used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.

Not So Spooky Treats

Welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today as I, Karen Letchworth, share a cute little Halloween project I created to inspire you all.  This month's Ribbon Club Assortment is filled with lots of "not so spooky" black, orange, green and purple FUN in this festive collection.  The Really Reasonable Ribbon monthly Ribbon Club is a great way to ensure you'll always have the perfect ribbons for every season and every occasion.  I sure enjoy them!
I made this cute little treat from a simple little mason jar that I filled with big black, orange and green gumballs.  I painted and glittered the ring of the jar to give it some personality, and then I wrapped a long length of Orange Seam Binding around it and tied it into a bow.  I also cut a circle from orange/black striped material and placed it over a piece of cardboard on the inside of the jar rim to decorate the top.
Next, I added a Spellbinders spider's web die-cut, and bows made from several of this month's Ribbon Club Assortment including  a length of the 5/8" Shimmer Satin Tangerine With Gold3/8" Spider Web Print on Black Silk Ribbon3/8" Wonky Orange and Black Squares on White Satin Ribbon, and I also added a couple of RRR trims that aren't from this month Ribbon Club Assortment.  Those trims include some 1.5" Gray Netting, and some Solid Green Baker's Twine.
I just LOVE how all of Really Reasonable Ribbon's sweet products work together so well and compliment one another so nicely.  Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you will stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to do some shopping, to get some great inspiration from our daily blog posts, and of course don't forget about the FUN CHALLENGE taking place now on the RRR Blog.  We look forward to seeing what you will create to share with us.

Have a wonderful day!

Kanzashi Inspiration

Hi friends.  Today I'm back with some more kanzashi flowers to inspire you.  Did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon stocks over 60 colors of Grosgrain Ribbon in 5 widths?!  You can find all your favorite colors!  We've also recently added an Embellishment section.  All the flower centers I used on my flowers can be found there along with other great finds.

My first flower showcases the technique I shared on my last video on how to make different sized petals using 1-1/2" grosgrain squares.

If you missed it, you can view the video HERE.

The flower below uses that technique and another technique of double-layered petals which I will teach you in the next video which I hope to have out by the end of the month.

There are so many different looks you can achieve by petal size and color placement.  Mount them on Hair Clips for hair accessories or you can even pins or bag embellishments.  I do hope you'll try your hand at these fun flowers!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you'll visit me at my Make Time to Craft Blog as well.  Happy Crafting!

Stamping With Baker's Twine

{judy} I was looking for a fun way to add a contemporary image to a card to highlight my word die. I didn't quite have what I was looking for -- a graffiti type stamp that was a little edgy and geometric. So --- I made my own using Baker's Twine. Take a look:
I wrapped the twine around an extra wood block and then stamped it using Poptone's Raspberry Ink. I alternated the direction for interest. I added my word die and then tied Licorice Baker's Twine around the panel three times and tied a simple bow. A trio of sequins are my embellishments. The final result is just what I wanted! A CAS, funky and trendy look!

I think it would be fun to see what other textures and designs you get using other trims and lace!
Thanks for sharing some time with us here at RRR!

Organza Bow for a Sweet Baby Girl Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It's Kathy here with a little ribbon inspiration for you today.  I had a hankering to take a break from fall/Halloween projects and make a sweet little baby girl card with my G45 Precious Memories papers.  Why?  Who knows?  The idea just popped into my head, and who am I to argue with the muse?  I'm glad I listened, because this card was really fun to make.

I wanted to keep everything about this card soft and sweet and light and airy...even the ribbon and trim.

So I opted for this gorgeous double layer bow tied with 7/8" White Organza topped with Ivory Burlap String.  It makes me think of angel wings.

To add a little more soft texture, I ran a row of Debra Natural Crochet Lace above and below the belly band, as well as along the border at the bottom of the card.

I also dressed up my little safety pin embellishment by tying it with a bit of the same crochet lace trim.

Inside, there's a little gift card pocket.

And a large pocket with a tag that I topped with more Ivory burlap string.

If you haven't worked with organza in a while, you might want to add some to your stash.  It ties beautiful bows, especially when you use  the Zutter Bow-it-All Tool.

Is there anything sweeter than a sleeping baby?

Thanks for stopping by!
