Thankful & Grateful

Hello crafty friends and Happy Friday to you all! Today Im sharing this darling card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon and a challenge on Facebook. I used the gorgeous satin crosshatch ribbon you can find here on sale right now.  I also used the scor-tape to put my card together and then the foam squares to attach all layers. The little mouse is an svg file and the design papers are from pebbles family ties stack.

Sunflower centers are done with a chunky glitter from WOW glitter.

The challenge I entered into was with MAD and they sent me a file to cut out the card and mouse, just thought it was so cute I had to join in, as its not too often I join in challenges. what do you think?
Thank you so very much for stopping by and have a lovely day!
Hugs to all, Cheryl

Cheery Autumn Flowers and Brown Glitz Ribbon

Kathy Clement, Kathy by Design, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Fall Flowers

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  How can it already be the end of August?  You know what that means, right?  Time to pull out our autumn ribbons and flowers!

Have you discovered the beauty of Glitz Ribbon yet?  It's one of my favorites because it not only has a bit of sparkle, but it's also ties beautiful bows!  I've layered Brown Glitz Ribbon under a trio of Mixed Earth Tone Chrysanthemums and Rosebuds

TIP:  Trim the stems from your Chrysanthemums, but keep the little beaded ends that are close to the flower base.  You can tuck these into your flower display to add an extra bit of texture.

TIP: Don't forget to add leaves to your flower display. Leaves add a lot of fulness and they make paper flowers look more realistic.

Enjoy these last few days of summer, friends!

Cheerio,

kathy

Fall Wooden Sign

Howdy, y'all! Misty (@mommyofkidz) here today sharing an easy and fun Fall decor project. All of this was made with items from my stash, ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and of course, a little fall cutfile from Bonnie's Etsy!

I started with a little wooden sign that I picked up at Michael's for $3.  I like to check the clearance aisles at the craft stores for little things that I can use for projects just like this! Bonnie's Etsy and her files in Cricut Access are awesome, and I always find the perfect one for all my projects. This time I chose her cute little file...TGIF Thank God It's Fall. I loved it so much, I even kept the same colors as the example!

I matched my vinyl colors with some fall florals from my stash, then paired up the ribbon and lace for the final touch. Plaid Ribbon Forest Green Paired with the Sharon Lace  made this little sign of mine just SCREAM fall!

Usually I wouldn't use hot glue on things like this if I were putting it outside in my porch. Texas Heat is brutal and will literally melt the glue - no electricity required. However, since it was staying inside, I didn't have to worry about the glue melting my masterpiece and it falling apart.

Once it was all finished, I had the perfect little indoor fall decor sign to kick off my favorite season of all! The warm colors and comforting scents of Autumn filled my mind and made me smile. All I need now is for these scorching Texas Temperatures to drop so that I can break out my cozy sweaters!

  TGIF! Thank God It's Fall!!!

and THANK YOU for stopping by today! Have a wonderfully crafty week!

Happy Birthday

When it comes to ribbons, trims, laces, twines, strings, ginghams, silks, grosgrain, and all things spooled; we know that Really Reasonable Ribbon is the place to go for all these fabulous trims.  However, did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries fabulous Mulberry FlowersAdhesivesEmbellishments and so much more?
This first photo (although not a fabulous photo) shows you both of the cards I created for today's post.  I combined some simple trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon with some awesome sentiments from Bonnie Garby Designs.  They can be found in the Birthday Greetings 2 Digital Stamp Bundle.  These fabulous digital sentiments make it easy and affordable to create beautiful cards.
This first card uses white cardstock and some various patterned paper scraps from my older stash paper bins.  I ran a length of beautiful White Satin Feminine Floral Ribbon down the left-hand side of my card securing it in place with Scor-Tape.  I also wrapped that side with a long length of Solid Deep Pink Baker's Twine.  I strung several cute White Faux Pearl Flatback Hearts from the Embellishments Section.
Every single sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs is beautiful.  You can see how crisp and clear these sentiments look.  Stunning!  You will love all the wonderful options at Bonnie Garby Designs too.  And at Really Reasonable Ribbon, you can find so many great crafting products from Adhesives to Ribbons and SO much more.
My second card uses white cardstock and patterned papers from Echo Park Have Faith 6x6 Paper Pad.  The sentiment is also found in the Birthday Greetings 2 Digital Stamp Bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs.  That pretty grosgrain ribbon I used on this card is called Roses w/Scalloped Edge on Navy Grosgrain.  It's currently sold out, but there's still a beautiful Coral version available.
If you don't yet have a "most favorite Adhesive", you will definitely want to check out Scor-Tape.  It comes it several helpful widths and it holds things in place securely.  That's one great thing about RRR...most of what they offer comes in several options.  You're sure to find several things to help you in your crafting.  There's also lots of great inspiration on the RRR Blog.  Thanks so much for stopping by today to take a peek.  Happy crafting, everyone.

Blessings,

Karen

Beary sweet Photo frame with Seam Binding

Hello crafty friends and Happy Friday to you all! DT Member Cheryl here with a fun little project I did. I took one of these old old frames my mom gave me and redid it and added some seam bindings and flowers to her.

To start I took the original eyes off of her, as they were little circle dots, and added some paper ones I had cut out on the cricut a long time ago. I then smoothed down the nose to get rid of the red using a crafting sanding block and colored it pink. Next I added the pink heart on top.

For the ears I used brown seam binding that I ruched up and hot glued on her ears. and for her big bow I used the Rose Petal Seam Binding ruched up and made into a bow, then I added some flowers and then the baby pink seam binding to the top of the bow. Love how it turned out. I also added some chalking to the cheeks and eyes, and then dots to the cheeks and muzzle . I also distressed the outside of the entire frame.

This is the original.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a lovely day! Hugs to all, Cheryl

Sunflowers and Bees

Really Reasonable Ribbon, Kathy Clement, Ciao Bella Farmhouse Meadow

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  How can it already be August?  It's hard to believe that these warm August days will soon fade into fall.  Sunflowers and bees still fill the garden with color and life, and that inspired this cheery card.

Moss/Cream Gingham Ribbon with Burlap string adorns this card beautifully.  The ribbon cluster looks so country sweet tucked under a trio of fall flowers.  It also tops the tag and sits beneath that bright yellow button.

TIP: Arrange your ribbon accents n your card so they form a triangle.  This will draw the eye and cause it to travel from ribbon to ribbon and take in all the details.

Here's a peek at the inside of the card.  As you can see, I even added a bit of ribbon to the top of the bookmark that's tucked inside the card pocket.  I guess you could call me a "ribbon lover."

I hope you all get a chance to enjoy some summer sunshine today.
Cheerio,
kathy

Autumn is My Favorite Color

Well, we know Autumn is just around the corner.  It's just a whole lot harder to recognize here in the hot, dry desert of Nevada.  We don't get many of the changing leaves, the cool crisp Autumn air, etc.  I just look forward to when it's cool enough outside to wear my cute boots, scarves and sweaters.  I'm HOT and looking forward to the cooler temperatures.  Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie Garby Designs helped me create this sweet Autumn card to welcome in the new season as it approaches.
I used some old Crate Paper patterned papers for the card base.  I attached all my paper using Scor-Tape which an awesome Adhesive.  I also laid a piece of Scor-Tape on my card where I placed a length of Chipmunk Double Satin Stitch Ribbon topped with a length of Orange Gingham Ribbon.  Because Scor-Tape comes in so many different widths, there's a perfect roll of Scor-Tape for every project.  And things get held in place securely....the way they should.
The sentiment is from the Autumn Leaves Digital Stamp Bundle found at Bonnie Garby Designs.  There are SO many fabulous digital stamp sets at Bonnie Garby Designs to help you expand your sentiment options.  Digital stamps are less expensive, they don't take up physical space to store them, and they make it so quick and easy to pop together a sweet card.  This sentiment was cut using a Crimped Frame Die from The Greetery.
The other goodies I added to my card include Autumn Gold Mulberry FlowersOrange Mulberry FlowersBrown Burlap String, and some Oatmeal Double Head Stamens.  There are always lots of FAB items waiting for you at Really Reasonable Ribbon and lots of inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit today.  It's always a treat.

Blessings,
Karen

Street Party Scrapbook Layout

Hello all my fellow ribbon lovers and Happy Monday!  Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here today, and before I share my project, I have a question for you.

What is your favorite thing to do with your ribbon?

The answer is easy for me. I LOVE to make boutique style hair bows. However, I also very much love to scrapbook, and I almost always use ribbon, twine, or lace on my layouts. I have one more question, then I will share...lol.  I know, I know...it is way too early on a Monday for all this! (ha ha)

What type of ribbon craft would you like to see more of on the blog?

Ok, now that we have played "20 questions", I will share! :) (Two...Twenty...who's counting!!?? :)  Anyway, today I am sharing a layout with you featuring some 4th of July Festivities.

I did this as part of a Progressive Challenge that I participated in recently, so it is just a bit different than my normal style, but I am in love with how this turned out! I used several bits and pieces from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store on this....

There were four steps to the Progressive Challenge, and as I was building this layout, I had no clue what the next step would be. Ultimately, one could end up with a jumbled mess, or something amazing.  I got lucky that my layout turned out to be something that I love!

I began with the ribbon on the bottom title strip, which I pleated so that it could be seen better. The 5/8 Red Poppy Satin Ribbon was a perfect match to the vintage paper that I chose to start my layout with.

I also used some jute string which I LOVE and use on quite a lot of my projects.  While I have used the natural color, I do have it in several other colors that can be found in the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.

Peep all the mulberry roses that I have used! Y'all, I can not tell you enough how addicted to these things I am! I don't know if I have every color yet, but my stash has certainly grown! I used the 10mm open roses on this layout in red, white, and blue obviously.

While I had no clue how this would turn out when I began, I fell in love with each step along the way. Part of the reason that I love it so much is the "eye candy" that I was able to add to enhance the overall "vibe" of the layout. Most of which came from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I certainly hope that you have gained some inspiration today, and I also hope that you will leave a comment for me answering my questions that I began with today. I genuinely would LOVE to know!!

Thank you all for stopping by and have a Creative and Crafty Week!!
