Splendid Seam Binding

Hey there to all our fellow ribbon-loving and coffee-loving friends!  It's Karen Letchworth posting today, and I'd like to share a couple of cards that incorporate two of my favorite things.....coffee and ribbons!   I just can't get enough of either, and while there's never a problem finding my coffee (at home or my local coffee shop) ...... Really Reasonable Ribbon is the best place to find ribbons!
Today I'm sharing two cards with you.  Both were made using a Crate Paper line called Restorations.  It's a very old line that I love, and I scored big time on EBay recently and picked up a bunch of it.  For this first card, I used three different patterned papers on my background that I attached together using an amazing Adhesive called Scor-Tape, which comes in several different widths.  Once I had my base together, I attached some chipboard pieces and stickers from this line, again by using Scor-Tape.  I also added three buttons that have Ivory Burlap String tied in their centers.
I also ran a piece of Natural Crochet Lace across the bottom of my card, and a piece of Danish Blue Seam Binding above that.  I also used the Danish Blue Seam Binding to make that lovely bow.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries 24 vibrant colors of Seam Binding, it costs just 30 cents per yard, and it ties so easily into the most gorgeous bows!  The finishing touches on this card are the stick pin, and the lovely Blue Sweetheart Blossom I placed in the center of my bow.
My second card celebrates my love for coffee along with my love of ribbon, and it uses all the same patterned papers, chipboard and border stickers as the first card.  Again, I attached my patterned papers together using Scor-Tape.  Then, I did some machine stitching, and added a lovely bow using Noble Peacock Seam Binding topped with a Pink Sweetheart Blossom.
The "coffee" sentiment is a die-cut, and I used two doily die-cuts at the top of my card (the larger from Cheery Lynn Designs and the smaller from Papertrey Ink).  I added a Prima ticket from my stash.  That's about it.  I hope you'll stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to check out all the amazing trims,  Seam Binding, the fabulous Mulberry Flowers, and SO much more!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have an amazing day!

Karen

P.S.  Please visit my blog My Cup Runneth Over for further info regarding my inspiration for these cards.

Summertime Folio

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Even though it seems like winter would never give up this year, my calendar tells me that summer is fast approaching.  Soon we'll all be swimming at the pool, going on vacation or picnicking in the park.  Summertime is just filled with fun events that make for great memories!  It's always nice to have a spot to preserve and showcase all the great photos we take during the summer season, isn't it?  This Summertime Folio filled with flips, flaps, tags, pockets and tuck spots is quick to  make, and fun to flip through.

I love it when I can find the absolute perfect ribbon match for a project.  This 5/8" Black Plaid Ribbon lends a country chic vibe to this 6.75" x 7.25" folio.  Tying this triple loop bow was quick and easy, thanks to my Zutter Bow-it-All Tool.

I've tucked in a loopy Black Burlap String Bow to add extra texture to the bow cluster.  It also really helps my red flowers pop!

Inside the folio, I've created a fun pull out photo album, tied with more of the same black plaid ribbon. The box style pocket holds sweet little tags and mini folio.

Black Plaid Ribbon tops the tags.  But I also added a decorative bow tied with Red Cherry Print. Sheer Organza Ribbon.  I love using organza ribbon on summer projects as it is light and airy!

I prepared a short 6 minute video tour of the folio so you can see how all the mechanisms work.  I hope you enjoy!

I hope I've shared some ideas that will help you make the most of your beautiful Really Reasonable Ribbon! If so, I 'd love to hear from you in the comment section below.

Mini Album with Decorative Ribbon Spine

Hi friends! Linsey here today sharing my latest mini album and I've done something different with my ribbon for this project. I wanted to add my ribbons to the outside of my album and I was going for a real statement--I think I did it! Take a look...
I created 2 puffy bows with 5/8" Satin Swirls Ribbon Daffodil and 2 slightly smaller puffy bows with 3/8" Crosshatch on Tropic Satin Ribbon. Then I hot glued the smaller bows on top of the larger bows and put a hot pink button with Burlap String Black in the center of each bow. I attached the completed puffy bows to the spine of the mini album and they fit perfectly. Like 2 little bursts of sunshine and I really like how it turned out. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you've been inspired to try using your ribbons/trims in a fun and unique new way! Until next time, happy crafting!

Cupcake Thank You Cards with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone and Happy Friday to all!  So today I have 3 Mini Cupcake Thank you cards to share with you all. For my cards today I used 5 different ribbons, a lace and then some adhesives all from RRR store.

I love when I come across design paper scraps that I haven't seen in forever. The design papers I used on all three of these cards is an OLDIE but GOODY! I found 2 pieces, one large piece and then the blue was a smaller piece that I was able to get a few cards made with . I love the ribbons I chose, they go perfectly with the 3 different cards.

1st Card- I chose to use Really Reasonable Ribbons Brown Diamond Satin.  There are so many different colors to choose from. Then I used the Pink canvas colored band with stitched edge ribbon, I made two bows using each ribbon, and then hot glued them to my card. My card was put together using Scotch Tape, and I just added one piece of design paper glued the Gabrielle Lace to the top and bottom, then added a doily, cupcake, and thank you wording.  It was super easy to make. Can you see the sweet cupcake on the design paper, love it!

2nd Card- I chose to use the Brown Tobacco Seam Binding, ruched up and hot glued on my card.  Then I used the beautiful Nile Blue Crosshatched Satin Ribbon to create my next bow. I used the same Gabrielle lace, but on a different design paper. I also used the cupcake, doily , and same thank you, just colored with two pink Copics . I used the foam tabs to add my cupcake on this one.  Another super fun and easy card to make, love having cute Thank You cards ready to give.

3rd Card- On this super simple card I used just the design paper, cupcake die, Gabrielle Lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon and then the beautiful blue Mineral Ice shade of Delicate Stitched ribbon, one of my many favorites.

Making Simple Cards Look Simply Lovely

Welcome by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today, everyone!  It's always nice to have you visit us, and I hope you like what you see today as I share these cards with you.  As our name might suggest, this wonderful shop is filled with a very LARGE variety of ribbons, laces, and trims of all sorts....but that's not where it ends.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries SO much more, including Mulberry FlowersEmbellishments, and....the list goes on and on!  RRR has everything you need to create something extra special.
So, for today's post, I'm sharing two sweet cards, and each one showcases just a few of my favorite products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It's SO easy to take a very simple card and make it "Simply Lovely" by adding just a few fabulous RRR products.  This first card was created with an ivory cardstock base and a piece of Carta Bella patterned paper.  I used a second piece of the patterned paper to die-cut a border, and just above it, I added a piece of the beautiful Juliet Natural Crochet Lace.  I added a journalling card and stamped my sentiment on that.  There's a flower sticker at the bottom right of my sentiment card; and at the top left, a beautiful floral treatment that includes a piece of bundled Ivory Burlap String, a 30mm Wild Orchid Crafts Mulberry Leaf, one Coral Open End Rose, and two Ivory Open End Roses.
I also added some Double Head Stamens including a few green, a few Baby Blue Double Head Stamens, and a few Red Double Head Stamens.  These sweet little accents, Wild Orchid Crafts Double Head Stamens are SO amazing; and at just $1.99 for a bundle of 160 pieces, they're a great bargain item that will add quite a lot of impact to your floral accents (as you can see).
My second card is another fairly simple card.  I used several patterned papers that I attached together with strips of Scor-Tape.  I also added some stickers and did some machine stitching in black.  While the card was nice.....it was missing something.  Ribbons!  I made a bow using a piece of Pink Center Stitch Burlap Ribbon and a piece of Brown Center Stitch Burlap Ribbon.  I also added some Baby Pink Double Head Stamens and Black Double Head Stamens, and topped the bow with a Pink Trellis Rose.
What I especially love about the Burlap Center Stitch Ribbons are their AMAZING texture.  They, like ALL of the trims at Really Reasonable Ribbon, add so much warmth and depth to your cards and projects.  Everything you need to make your "Simple Cards" look "Simply Lovely" can be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon!  Thanks again for stopping by today.

Have a great week,

We Are Family Greeting Card

Hello there crafty friends and happy Wednesday to you all! It's Ginny here to share a very sweet and shabby inspired greeting card created with gorgeous RRR ribbon.
I love pink and gray together! I also love that I had the perfect shade of pink ribbon to go with the flowers : )
This is a mix of purchased and handmade flowers.  I love to mix and match!
This seam binding is dreamy. It makes the perfect bow without being too poofy. I've topped it off with a vintage button.
Doilies die cut from crisp white paper helps to break up the busy patterns. The inside of the card is finished with coordinating papers.
Lots of die cut foliage is layered up with twine to fill in this arrangement. A scattering of sequins is the perfect finishing touch.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Keeping it Natural with Burlap Ribbon

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!   Do you like to add texture to your handmade cards?  I'm always on the lookout for new ways to incorporate texture and layers in my work.  It's one of the reasons I love to add ribbon to my cards!  It doesn't just look pretty...it adds another layer of texture.

This 5" x 7" top fold card is loaded with layers and lovely textures. I added a simple bow tied with Pink Burlap Center Stitched Ribbon to "tie" all my elements together.

Distressed paper edges, rolled corners, vintage buttons, soft shimmering pearls, coiled wire, glittered foliage and flowers enhance the design of this botanical card.  And the texture from the ribbon is the icing on the cake!    As a bonus, this ribbon ties like a dream!

What's your favorite way to add texture to your crafty creations?  I'd love to hear about it in the comment section below.

Thanks for stopping by!

Springtime Treat Boxes with Pretty Ribbon!

Hello friends! I hope you're doing well! Linsey here today sharing my latest project, these fun mini pizza/cookie treat boxes decorated with a Springtime theme and featuring some gorgeous Really Reasonable Ribbon! Take a look!
I decorated the front of the boxes each with a piece of white embossed cardstock and some cheerful Springtime stickers. Since the sides of the boxes were still plain white, I decided to jazz them up by wrapping a piece of 5/8" Daffodil Taffeta Ribbon around the entire box and then added a piece of 3/8" Crosshatch on Tropic Satin Ribbon over the yellow, tied together at the top of the box with a light aqua mulberry flower from the WOC Cherry Blossoms Mixed Pastel Colors set in the center of the tied ribbon. Now to fill them up with a yummy treat and give to someone special to brighten their day! :)
And that's all for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great week and until next time, happy crafting!

Mini Thank you cards with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello Crafty friends and Happy Friday to you all! Todays sweet little cards were designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using Ribbons, lace, embellishments, and flowers all from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store.

To start I used these sweet little cards , they are bazzill cards, precut, and had the shape, they are mini :) I cut some scrap design paper to place on these using RRR Scotch ATG refill tape, , and then layered with Cheery Lynns Doily's using the Foam Tabs from RRR to give a 3-D effect on the Middle one. The strawberries are another die cut, and they are colored with copics. I did stamp Thank you on the one doily for the card in the center. Love how fast and easy these were to create. I will be making more of these sweet cards, as these are already sent out :)

Left Card I used Gabrielle Lace, and then white mini sweetheart blossoms

Middle card - I ended up using Yellow Delicate Stitch Ribbon, and Mineral Ice Delicate Stitched ribbon, and a sweet little sweetheart Blossom flower in white
Right side card- I used again Gabrielle Lace and then some Satin Crosshatch Nile Blue Ribbon and then a little pearl half backed heart embellishment
