Congratulations Card with Pretty Ribbon Accents

Hi everyone.  It's been a while since I popped on with a project for you.  August has just flown by and between a one week vacation at the beginning of the month and my oldest son landing a new job an hour from home which included a quick, two-day 600 mile (each way) trip to help him move, suddenly it's the end of the summer!  How'd that happen?

Anyway, if feels good to spend some time crafting again.  Today I made up a quick Wedding Shower card.

This is a pretty CAS card (for me).  Just a couple layers.  Of course, no card is complete without some pretty ribbons and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon!  I wrapped a layer of White Netting around the middle of the card and topped that with some 3/8" White Satin with Silver Edge Ribbon.

My beautiful double-layer bow is made using 5/8" White Delicate Stitched Satin using my Bow-it-All V2.0.  For all my Bow-it-All Video Tutorials, please click HERE.
I topped the bow off with a pretty White Open Rose.

The inside sentiment is a digital stamp from Create with TLC.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Inspiration Day with Carolyn

Hi ya peeps, I've got another fun card to share with you this week. Summer is almost gone and to be honest, Minnesota hasn't seen much of a summer. We were way too hot last year and this year it's humid but not super warm. I am going to sneak in a sunny project and hope that we won't see snow before October this year!

My Project.....

I have been loving this particular green dotted and yellow dotted ribbons. They are so fresh and summery, just a nice touch of happy. I like to wrap my images up and add extra "ribbon tails" on the projects for some added color, dimension and depth.

For more fun and inspiration please visit our Facebook and Pinterest pages and don't forget to join in on our current challenge.

You Are Love Layout

Hi RRR friends, Linsey here! Wow, it's Friday already! I hope you have plans to enjoy this long holiday weekend! Today I'm sharing the 2nd scrapbook layout I've made this month--while this may not sound like any great feat, let me say that before this month, I had stopped scrapping altogether for a long while after getting hooked on stamping...I'm sure some can relate ;) I dare say, I just might be getting the hang of this scrapbook thing again! I'm enjoying mixed media artwork more and more and this 12x12 layout was a real pleasure to make. Take a look...

Can you spot where I used some wonderful trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon? If you said on the LOVE clothespin banner, you'd be correct! I looooveeee RRR lace trim and tend to hoard it but I thought this little sweetheart was worthy of using a bit on, hehe! I laid down gorgeous May Arts 1.5" White Crochet Lace, then dainty Beatrice White Crochet Lace.

But wait--I also used my favorite Gold Metallic String along the bottom and I really think it completes the page.

Thank you so much for stopping by the RRR blog today and letting my share my layout with you! Happy Labor Day weekend!

Spring is Away by Jenn Cochran

Hello to all you RRR fans and friends!  It's Jenn from Jax Bean Stalks bringing to you a spring themed card.  I just cannot accept that Fall and Winter are upon us!  I have for you one more spring card.  Ok maybe I will have another one....I won't lie!!!  LOL!!!

I have used the fabulous corsage ribbon.  I love this ribbon because it is so very sheer.  You can totally see images through it.  Look how well my flower shows through.  Then when you layer it up in a bow, the true color of the ribbon shows!  I have used the Pastel Corsage Ribbon.  It is the Lavender.

I LOVE the way this ribbon sparkles too!  It catches the light and is so very pretty.

The corsage ribbon is really easy to tie into bows too.  It is stiff and is easily manipulated.  It really hold its shape too!

Thanks for visiting!

You are Always Welcome in our Home

Today is my last post for the month and I wanted to finish with a simple card that I did with the August Ribbon Club Assortment for August and some Doodlebug papers and stickers that I had.

For my card I used lots of rich browns and oranges and mixed in a little bit of ivory to balance it out and make the sticker pop.  The plaid ribbon is in the assortment pack and the neat tangled looking ribbon is called Netting Trim and comes in lots of fun colors. It was really quick and easy and is a great card to have on hand for friends that get a new house or just welcome to mine :)

In case you need to see this fabulous assortment for the month here it is again.

Have a great crafty week and thanks for stopping by.....Teresa

Shabby Chic Album & Video

Hello everyone.  Today I wanted to share the cover of my Shabby Chic Floral Delight Album, and I also have a video of the entire album to share as well. My album was created for Really Reasonable Ribbon , using tons of Really Reasonable Ribbon Seam Binding and Mulberry Flowers throughout my entire album.

I absolutely LOVE how this album turned out. My next album will be a little different though.  I'm thinking I need to create more spots for photos, as I didn't have enough room in this one for all photos from two trips.

On the cover I used Really Reasonable Ribbons Seam Binding (Moss Green, Rose Petal), Sweetheart Blossoms, & Trellis Roses. I also used Scor-Tape throughout this entire album.

I did add wedding stems, flourishes, Butterflies, Buttons, Vintage Trim, Rosette Trim, Photo wood frame, and CottageCutz die cuts.

I'm getting ready to start my next big album, and I can't wait to share that with you all!  Hope you like my video I've posted below as it shows all details of each page.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
Hugs to all,

Tea and Cookie Gift Holder Tutorial

Hey there Peeps! Ginny here and I'm dropping in to share a fun little project you can make with 1 sheet of paper, a ruler, and bits and pieces from your scrap and salvage box. And of course some super scrumptious ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It's a very easy tutorial....and you'll be making these for every occasion!
First a sneak peek of the finished project:

 Okay...now for the tutorial:

You'll need one 8' x 8" square of patterned cardstock. Make sure you pick a sheet that you like both sides of as you can see them when you fold it up.   This looks like a bit of an difficult measuring process...but it's really too easy.  On the top left corner measure in 2-3/4 inches and make a small tic with a pencil. Turn the page 1/4 turn to the left and measure in 5-1/4 inch and make another tic. Connect the tic with a ruler and fold on that line. Now turn the page 1/4 turn again and measure in 2-3/4 inches and make a tic. Turn the page 1/4 turn again and mark at the 5-1/4 inch. Connect the dots with the ruler and fold on that line. Now you have the outside folds all ready.  Now measure in 1 inch from the right side. Turn the page 1/4  turn and measure in 1 inch. In the opposite corner do the same. With your ruler fold up on the lines creating a strip diagonally down the middle. Now you get to fold!
Fold down from the top.

Fold up from the bottom.

Now fold in from the sides. The white strip in the back is only there to show the shape of it folded.

One more look at the front.
That lovely ribbon I used is Ivory Wrinkle Ribbon...heavily inked for an extra shabby antique look.

I added some tea bags to the pockets of mine. But sadly there were no cookies to go with the tea : (
See, there's plenty of room for a little bag of cookies. If I had any...which I don't....I would hope they would be my favorite snickerdoodle or oatmeal cream.  Just sayin : )
I'll be making up a big pile of these with hot chocolate, little candy canes and cookies.....wouldn't that make the nicest little gifty?
Okay that's all for me..Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : )

French Country Birthday Card

Hello Ribbon Loving Friends! Kathy Clement here to share an elegant French Country birthday card that has lots of layers, lots of gold embossing and oodles of scrumptious Really Reasonable Ribbon

French Country RRR 01

I have always loved this image from Graphic 45's French Country paper collection. When I received the gorgeous August Ribbon Club assortment, I knew this elegant Sherry Checkerboard Satin Ribbon would be the perfect complement to its Old World Charm. I used my Zutter Bow-it-All Tool to help me tie the perfect triple loop bow. I frayed and inked a strip of the fabulously shabby chic Cotton Blend Vintage Travel Ribbon.  Because this ribbon is 2 1/2" wide, it makes a perfect belly band on a card. I saved some of the small threads and topped my satin bow with them and then added a button.

French Country RRR 02

You can really see the dimension and embossing from this angle. I combined three of the chipboard tags with a bit of my favorite Natural Jute String to balance out the bow on the left hand side of the card.

French Country RRR 05

Fraying the ends is easy...just use a craft pick to separate the strands.

More layers, and stamped greetings from Fiskars "Make a Wish" stamp set complete the card.

Thanks for stopping by! I wish you a day filled with beauty and creativity!

Candy Corn Peat Pot Buckets Tutorial

My turn to share a tutorial here at RRR.   I started with some little peat pots and painted them up in pumpkin orange.  I used my crop-a-dile (remember those?) to make holes on either side and used some faux canvas ribbon in black for the handles.  I then added some homemade crepe papers to the bottom and top of each bucket.  My next step was to make some bows using plaid ribbon in black and added them to the side.  From here start having fun layering your diecuts and images and add dimension with some foam adhesive.   Other than that, I just had to add a bit more ribbon nestled inside the gingham.  I added orange seam binding and Halloween baker's twine along with a hand stamped Maya Road tag and jingle bell to finish them off.  Now they are ready for some candy corn or other sweet delight for this coming Halloween!
Enjoy, Cherry

Inspiration Day with Carolyn

Hi ya peeps, sorry my card is a bit late. I had a little accident with some stairs, photos on the wall and my wrist on Wednesday and I've been out of it with pain meds. Better late than not at all. When I did this card I was looking forward to using black on black.

My inspiration is all about being stark and dark.

I LOVE rooster anything and I love a dark background. Add a little gingham ribbon against a darker background with a little pop of color in the image and you have a bolder statement. Have I mentioned that I LOVE  gingham? There are lots of fun gingham ribbons in the store. The recipe for this ribbon is:  Gingham Black 3/8 inch ribbon.

Don't forget to join in on the current challenge which is pets and ribbons and stop by our Facebook and Pinterest pages for further inspiration from our design team.

Happy crafting,
          Carolyn

Fall Photo Calendar with Graphic 45

Hi, it's Teresa here today on this beautiful Monday to share a special calendar that I did for a wonderful person who has the cutest chickens I know.  Sometimes finding the perfect paper and trying to make something special for someone can be great inspiration and I think she is going to really love this.  At least I hope so.  So the ribbons this month for the August Monthly Ribbon Club  started this too.  They are gorgeous and went perfect with the papers that I had in my stash from G45.  And I added a few more that I loved too.

So you can tell that all the fall colors in the paper really went good!  For the front of the book I made that huge flower by gathering up the White Jute Ribbon  and added another gathered row of   Ivory Tulle  and then on top of that I put twine and flowers.  I also made a really pretty bow with the Green Seam Binding Ribbon from the shop.

Here is page two in the calendar.  I love all the rich colors and the ivory seam binding went great for it just as a bow at the bottom of the page.

For this page I tied a piece of the rich Red Burgandy Diamond Satin Ribbon with a flower.

This page I kept really simple and just added some flowers from my stash.  There are lots of gorgeous flowers in the shop that you can see here and I think it's time for an order for me too.

And lastly I put the biggest rooster to end the year on just by fussy cutting him out and layering him on the page with the calendar pieces and some Baker's Twine that you can see here and comes in lots and lots of colors... could use them all myself and it's a nice thing to have on hand.

That's it for today and hope you got inspired to make something fun for someone special in your life and don't forget to check out all the gorgeous ribbons this month.  It's going to be fun this fall.

Big Hugs....Teresa
