Patterned Paper: American Crafts

Edge Punch: Stampin'UP!

Stamp: Unknown

Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon

As I sit here watching it rain (and rain and rain!!) I can't help dreaming of the sunny days ahead. What kind of weather are you experiencing in your neck of the woods??

With Love

There is just something so gorgeous about browns and blues together. They take me to an almost Victorian state of mind, where everything is old yet beautiful. I actually think it is one of my favorite color combinations and when I saw the new Sheer Square print in Brown/Blue, I knew I had to have some. So off I went to get some. Did you know there are some amazing embellishments you can buy now at Really Reasonable Ribbon??? Those vintage brads are calling my name.

Here is the card I created using the Sheer Square print. So soft yet so versatile.
The flower was made by using a daisy die cut from Sizzix. I used 2 sizes in 4 papers. Attached an eyelet in the center, then curled the edges around a pencil. Finally I painted the inside of the bloom with distress stickles. I think I'm calling it a Mum. Mums are such a beautiful flower. Do you have a favorite flower? Let us know.

Hope you all have a fantastic day.

The Moments

Hello Everyone and happy Thursday to you all. I hope that you have been enjoying the first signs of Spring. The snow is starting to melt here and the earth is starting to sing. My card today is very much inspired by that.

I used the 3/8" white ric rac for this card, although you'd never know it. First I spritzed it wit tiger lily Glimmer Mist, then added Patina green perfect pearls on top. I absolutely love how it turned out and how well it matches the rest of the card.
I love altering my ribbon and trim. You can really come up with some wonderful ideas when you open your mind to the possibilities.
The stamps used on the card are all from Bombshell Stamps and all of the paper is 7 Gypsies.
Enjoy the rest of your week. What flowers are you going to be planting this spring in your gardens?

You're Amazing

Hi everyone and happy Thursday to all of you. The snow is starting to melt around these parts, and it is so nice to see signs of Spring here and there. Just about time to get those rubber boots out for the kids I think.
Today I'm sharing with you a card that was made using the 3/8" turquoise grosgrain ribbon from Reasonable Ribbon
I used two separate pieces and criss crossed them on the card. Then added the classic oval and sentiment over top of them. I love the simplicity of this card, even though it took a lot of work lol. All of the design is colored in using Glaze pens.
The colors really bring to mind those first few pink tulips that bloom and the warmth of the Spring sky. Hope you are all getting ready for Spring. Did you plant any bulbs in the fall? We planted a lot, and I'm so looking forward to seeing what they all look like when they bloom.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Make sure you take a look at the sale section. There are some sweet deals you can grab. And don't forget to take a peek at the new ribbons and trim that Really Reasonable Ribbon has. I've already ordered a bunch of the 1.5" gingham ribbon and can't wait to play with them.

A little Ombre Slice of Heaven

Hello Everyone and Happy Thursday. I am back on the mend after fighting a yucky flu bug that has made its way around the house. Our 2 year old daughter has it now. ACK.

Today I am sharing with you one of my absolute favorite things to stamp and that is Fairies. This fairy is from About Art Accents and I've colored her with Copics.
For such a whimsical stamp, I needed some ribbon that had equal the amount of whimsy and magic to it. The Sheer Ombre Turquoise/Brown was just the ticket. If you have never used this kind of ribbon before, you just HAVE to grab some. With its two tone palettes, this ribbon is absolutely STUNNING. And it makes bows like a dream *swoon*
Take a look at this ribbon up close
Isn't that just Scrumptious!!!!
Now here is the whole project for you. I really like the softness of the colors and patterns. It turned out pretty dreamy, which is what I was going for.

And finally a close up of the image itself
When you are looking for that really special ribbon that will bring a little "pixie dust" magic to your projects, try the Ombre ribbon, available in so many colors you'll be sure to find one that is perfect for your creation.

Until Next time
