Forever Fall Book Box

Temperatures are dropping and Fall is upon us! I just love this time of year! Hello friends! Linsey here today sharing my latest altered project, a lovely book box keepsake to commemorate all the beauty and love this season holds.
The box is covered inside and out with 12x12 papers. The front is decorated with a variety of Fall stickers, chipboard and die cuts. I added a lovely array of flowers to the front as well. They include: WOC Open Roses Orange, WOC Open Roses Deep Ivory, WOC Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms White, and all edges were covered with washi tape.
The opening holds a pretty tag and features flowing Orange Ribbon from the Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon Autumn Assortment and Theresa White Crochet Lace. The tag is attached with a blue button tied with Burlap String Natural
Inside the box is a space for journaling and there are large tags meant for adding photos from the season as well as more journaling areas. More tags could be added or even small mementos to keep inside the box.
I really enjoyed putting this project together. I hope you've enjoyed seeing it!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day! Until next time, happy crafting!

Very Merry Loaded Envelope

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Christmas will be here before we know it.  So I thought I'd share one of my favorite Christmas ribbons with you today.  Ivory/Rust/Gold Plaid ribbon has a wonderful vintage vibe, a touch of holiday sparkle, and ties the prettiest bows!  I've used it to adorn this loaded envelope, and I love how well it works with the Carta Bella Christmas Market paper collection!

Not only did I use it in the bow clusters along with some gold metallic string, I also used it to pretty up the little treats I tucked into this loaded envelope.

I also used it to make a belly band on this sweet little photo folio insert.

Both sides of the envelope are decorated so that if I get tired of one scene, I can flip it and look at another.

Here I've used Silver Metallic String to make the cute banner on the envelope flap.

I think that loaded envelopes make great Secret Santa, Holiday Swap and Hostess Gifts.  Plus they are fun to make!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Halloween Card

Hello everyone and Happy Friday to you all!
Today I have a super cute card I made for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the Halloween Assortment from September, but the ribbons can also be purchased separately and I will list and have links below.

So for my card today I stared with some cute Halloween design papers, layered with black card stock and I sewed each layer together using orange thread. Next I stamped up the My Makers Movement stamps and colored them up using Copics and then cut them out using coordinating dies. The bows were made using Really Reasonable Ribbon's beautiful Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon, and the cute grosgrain spider webs ribbon. I also added some stamens to the bows. The sentiment is from Project Bin stamps, and paper came from the 6 x 6 paper pad Halloween Basics by Recollections.

Really Reasonable Ribbon supplies used:
Delicate Stitched Ribbon
Spider Webs on black grosgrain
scor-tape
scotch advanced tape refill
black foam tabs
embellishments
Black stamens

Hope you enjoyed my post for today, and thank you for stopping by!
hugs to all,
Cheryl

Spooktacular Fun

Hello!  It's always a special treat when you stop by to visit. Today it's me, Karen Letchworth, sharing a "spooktacular" little card I created using some of my favorite products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I hope you're all ready for the little goblins who will come knocking at your door next week looking for some tricks or treats.
So, for today's post, I'm sharing a fun little Halloween card that was sent off to my niece.  While she's getting (just about) past the trick-or-treating age, she's still a whole lot of fun, and I like to send her special cards.  I'm sure you all have those in your life with whom you have that sort of relationship.  Never underestimate just how much it means to someone to get a hand-made card in the mail.  Just knowing that someone is thinking about you can make all the difference; so I encourage you to send a card today.  Someone needs the pick-me-up for sure!
I started with a base of burnt orange corrugated paper, and I also used some American Crafts (Haunted) patterned papers that I had picked up last year.  I used a small (October) ephemera piece, a Crafty Secrets image, and a Jolee's candy bar (Darkside Chocolate Bar).  Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect Embellishments, Ribbons, and Adhesives (plus SO much more) to help me adorn and decorate my cards.  How cute!
There are some new products to Really Reasonable Ribbon as well, and I'm SUPER excited about them.  One of these fabulous new products would be the ADORABLE Bronze Pear-Shaped Metal Safety Pins.  They do come in different colors/metals, but I'm obsessed with these.  They're perfect for hanging a small tag or a metal charm, beads, etc..  SO cute!  And...they are only $2.19 for 100 pieces!!!  I used mine to hang a small tag cut from patterned paper, and I stamped the word "Enjoy" on it.
I also bundled some Violet Burlap String, tucked in some Black Miniature Double Head StamensMilk White Miniature Double Head Stamens, and added a double bow tied with Black/White Houndstooth Ribbon.  Like I mentioned earlier, Really Reasonable Ribbon really does have SO many fabulous touches for your crafting projects.  Ribbons, twines, trims, Seam Binding....you name it, Really Reasonable Ribbon definitely has all the spooled delights any crafter could ever need.  But I do hope you'll also check out the amazing rainbow of other accents they carry to help you take your art to the next level.  You won't be disappointed.  Really!  Check out those awesome new Bronze Pear-Shaped Metal Safety Pins.  They'll look so cute on your next project!

Thanks for stopping by,
Karen

Thinking of You Christmas Shaker Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! I know we're still a bit away from Halloween but I just can't help myself but to play with the gorgeous trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon for Christmas!
Loving the brighter cheerful colors of this shaker Christmas greeting card.

This is a mix of stash paper patterns combined with a new holiday image cut apart.  I think it's very sweet and whimsical.
I't's a standard 3 x 4 inch cut apart but the image in the center is smallish so I had plenty of room for my favorite layering bits.
These flowers are all handmade by me and have stamens from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

More flowers on this side for balance and a poofy bow topped with jingle bells as the perfect finishing touch!

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Decorated Jam Jars

Hi friends! Linsey here on this fine Wednesday sharing my homemade blackberry preserves all dressed up and ready to be given out! Summer may be over, but I still have plenty of blackberries stored in my freezer from my backyard bushes, which means lots of blackberry jam for friends, neighbors and family this year! I think homemade anything makes for a great gift and fruit preserves are on my short list!
I decorated the lids with pretty fabric squares and tied them up with some Ivory Wrinkle Ribbon. I really like the softness and slight crinkle this ribbon has. It works well with some many projects. I added some hand-stamped tags and attached them with Gold Metallic String. I topped each with WOC Burgundy Open Roses. I plan to add a jar of jam to all my holiday gift baskets this Christmas and I hope you might be inspired to make some homemade gifts this holiday season too! Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!

Snarky Masculine Birthday Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Do you struggle to find a way to use ribbon on a masculine card?   When I do, I look for textures and fabrics that make me think of men's ties and suit coats.  So for this slightly snarky birthday card, I chose to work with Shell Grey Shimmer Satin on the bow.  Top the bow with a grey button and a little birthday charm for the perfect finishing touch.

You can also layer a patterned ribbon, like this Black and Grey Diamond Print Grosgrain Ribbon over the same shimmer satin to create a stunning border treatment.  Simply place a layer of 1/2" Scor-Tape on the card base, then wrap the ends around to the back side of the card panel for a neat and tidy finish.  Follow the same process with the Diamond Print grosgrain, but use 1/4" Scor-Tape this time.  Top with a trio of the same grey buttons.  This look makes me think of a man's French cuff.  It's very chic!

Here's a peek at the inside of this fun masculine birthday card.  Clean and simple works just fine here.

I hope I've shared some tips and tricks that will help you make your next masculine card with ribbon!

All Hallow's Eve Mini Album Page

Hello everyone.  Today I have another page for the mini album I've been working on. This one is the All Hallow's Eve page designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon, and will be for Halloween photos. On this page I wanted to use the beautiful ribbons from the September Ribbon Club Assortment as they are all so pretty!

So for this page I used black card stock for the base, and made it so it's open on both sides for easy attachment to the album. Next I created the flaps and pockets using Graphic45 design papers. I kept the decorations  pretty simple for this page. I did add beautiful ribbons from the Septembers Ribbon Club, some covered buttons, bats, and a candy. I love making these pages to be interactive and have lots of room for photos and journaling. Hope you enjoy my post, as I've also included a little video showing how the page opens.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies used:
Scor-Tape
Tape refill scotch
Delicate Stitched Satin tangerine
Swiss dots black
diamond satin grape

Thank you for stopping by and have  a lovely day!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Warm Autumn Wishes

Today I'm posting for Really Reasonable Ribbon, and I'm so glad you've stopped by to take a peek.  I always enjoy making cards; but I often feel like my cards aren't quite finished until I add just a bit of ribbon/trim, or some sweet little flowers. You know....those extra little touches that make our card Oh, SO sweet.  Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect touches for just about any and every craft project you can possibly imagine.  Here's how Really Reasonable Ribbon helped step up my card today.
This card was creating using some sweet Autumn patterned papers and a journalling card from Echo Park that I attached with strips of a fabulous Adhesive called Scor-Tape.  Once all my patterned papers were in place and all the edges were inked, I stamped my sentiment (Autumn) onto the journalling card.  I also stamped the different pumpkins, pumpkin parts, pumpkin stems and swirls.  All the stamps I used on this card are from a retired set called Pumpkin Patch from Papertrey Ink.  I love it, and I use it every year around this time; so you may recognize it.

Once I had everything where I wanted it, I attached all the pumpkins using several more cut pieces of the Scor-Tape.  I love that stuff!  On the left of my card, you'll the the small piece of Orange Gingham Ribbon With Black Stripe that I used to make a bow.  I topped that with some bundled Orange Burlap String and Olive Burlap String.  I tucked in a Black Double Head Stamen and two Red Double Head Stamens, and topped it all with a pretty little Two-Tone Orange Sweetheart Blossom.

I do hope you'll take a few minutes to visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon Shop just to look around.  You never know what might catch your eye.  I have SO many favorites.  Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget about the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop coming up on the 13th of this and every month.  I hope to see you again then, if not sooner. Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings,

Karen
