Old Glory Shabby Card by Cherry Nelson

Hey ribbon peeps!  Cherry  here on the RRR blog today!   I have a
pretty and soft take on a Patriotic card.  I layered lots of papers, diecuts, and paper flowers that I made.  I am addicted to making flowers.  It is so relaxing.  I have learned how to make Foamirian and paper flowers both.  It has kept me sane during this crisis.

\
I added in some adorable blue gingham along with gold thread wound around all the flowers for added texture.  I also used stamens from RRR.  Bonnie has a lovely collection of them.

I embossed a chipboard frame in gold embossing powder and added white oil pastel around the edges for a soft distressed look.

Hope you enjoyed this creation!!!  Stay safe and craft on!
XOXO, Cherry

Sheer Botanical Beauty

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Today I have a sheer botanical beauty of a card to share with you.  If you haven't discovered the gorgeous Variegated Sheer Ribbon in the RRR shop yet, it's time to take a look!  It's become one of my absolute favorite ribbon styles.  Soft and easy to work with, it also has a little bit of shimmer from the iridescent threads that run through it.  It ties a truly bodacious bow, especially when you pair it up with some Iridescent Metallic String!  The color I've used here is the Red/Pink/Ivory combination.  It's the perfect match for the pink and rose hues in this shaker card.

Here's a peek at the inside of this garden themed card.  By adding a 1" spine to my card base, I was able to create a box style pocket on the right and a standard pocket on the left.

Dress up a tea bag, cookies, and chocolate with your designer papers.  Then tuck them into the pockets with a bitty spoon and honey stick to keep them company.

Use a tiny clip to attach a velvet bookmark to the card base.  Now you're ready for the garden party!

I hope I shared some tips for working with ribbon with you today.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Day

Welcome by today, creative friends.  We hope you're all doing well, staying safe and healthy, and enjoying your crafty time.  I'd like to share this card with you that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using a few of their (many) fabulous products.  If you'd like to stop by blog, My Cup Runneth Over, I have a few more details about my card.
I used brown kraft paper for my base and cover plate.  I used a wonderful Adhesive called Scor-Tape to layer everything together and secure the cover plate and floral patterned paper into place.  Next, I die-cut and layered several wool felt flowers and I placed a White Flatback Pearl in the center of each flower as well as one at the bottom left of  my card.  I tied a pretty bow with a length of Robin's Egg Wrinkle Ribbon.
Just below the floral patterned paper, I ran a length of 1/4" Pink Chevron Striped Twill.  I also die-cut some green foliage from the wool felt.  One of my wool felt die-cut flowers is rolled up; and I tucked in several White Double Head Stamens to recreate the stamens you'd see in a real flower.  If you haven't noticed yet, I do so LOVE the Double Head Stamens.  They come in two different styles and a wide array of gorgeous colors.  They're also SUPER affordable at approx. $2 for 250 pieces.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I do hope that you'll visit again soon for more inspiration.  There's always something new (and quite lovely) at Really Reasonable Ribbon to help you adorn all your wonderful projects.  There's also information about special sales and promotions, and an awesome Blog Hop each month on the 13th of the month where one lucky person wins the awesome Ribbon Club Assortment.  We hope you'll visit us often.

Blessings,

Pears, Peaches, and Pies Card by Cherry Nelson

Hello my RRR peeps!  Cherry here here today to share a fun country themed card using this months ribbon assortment from the blog hop!  I used the Light Navy Checkerboard.
My Mom was a big canner...she canned everything and her pies were out of this world.  So I had to name this card Peaches, Pears, and Pies....and of course the ribbon was the crowning touch to this project!

I even added a mini life like mason jar along with a rolling pin!  My flowers are mostly Foamiran flowers that I have been creating lately and Magnolias from the store!

and of course I had to add a fork.....to eat that yummy pie with!!

Well that is it for me friends!  Hope you are all safe an healthy!  xoxo, cherry

Singing the Blues

Hello, Friends!  Kathy here with a beautiful summery blue card filled with roses, posies and butterflies.

The Light Navy Taffeta Ribbon bow cluster on this card steals the show.  I love working with taffeta ribbon!  It has a soft sheen and ties crisp loopy bows.  I've topped this one with some Gold Metallic String and a big ole blue rose.

Everything about this card makes me want to sip a tall glass of sweet tea out on the veranda while I listen to the birds sing.  If I had a veranda, that is!

Here's a peek at the inside.  It's so fun to tuck these little surprises inside a card!

I hope you get to sit out under the big blue sky today and drink in some sunshine.

Thanks for stopping by!

Having FUN w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, everyone!  It's Karen here today.  Thanks for visiting us.  I'm so glad you've stopped by to take a peek at these two projects I created using some of the fabulous trims and goodies from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  For my card, I started with a cream cardstock base, added a burnt orange cardstock layer, and then a piece of Echo Park printed wood grain patterned paper.  To that, I added a sentiment strip using stickers from Echo Park.  The layers of paper and sentiment stickers are attached using Scor-Tape and White Foam Squares.
The next thing I did was to run a length of Olive Wrinkle Ribbon across my card, and I scrunched it up a bit to gift it a ribboned effect.  That was a bit tricky!  I placed an Orange Open Rose in the center of one of the printed flowers.  I also bundled up a nice long length of Red Burlap String and topped that with a few Double Head Stamens.
My bow includes a piece of the Olive Wrinkle Ribbon, as well a length of Cream Seam Binding and Bay Leaf Seam Binding.  This lovely bow is topped with a White Sweetheart Blossom and some Ivory Open Roses.  There are always SO many lovely choices when it comes to ribbons, trims, twines, laces and all kinds of wonderful flowers, stamens, leaves and accessories.  Just stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to look around.  You'll be amazed at all the wonderful products you'll find.
My second project is a sweet tag I created to place on a little white treat bag.  Once I'd cut the tag, I used some new paints to create a background; and I incorporated some mint and purple.  I stamped my sentiment in deep bordeaux wine colored ink.  I really like the color combinations on this tag.  And, as always, Really Reasonable Ribbon had all the PERFECT trims and embellishments for this sweet tag.
I added a bow that includes a length of Bay Leaf Seam BindingBordeaux Wine Seam Binding, and bundled Ivory Burlap String.  That's topped with a 13mm Mixed Color Flatback Gingham Buttons.  There was one in there that was just the right color for my project.  That just seems to happen A LOT with my Really Reasonable Ribbon products....there's always a perfect color match due the vast variety of colorful choices at RRR.  Oh, and like I almost always do...I did tuck a few Double Head Stamens into my bow cluster.  They're the sweetest, huh?
I attached this sweet tag to a small white paper bag that I filled with big gumballs.  This will make an extra "sweet" little birthday gift for a friend.  I used a few pieces of cut Scor-Tape to seal the white paper bag and to securely attach the tag.  There are several fabulous Adhesives available at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
And don't forget to stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog often for loads of great inspiration as well as updates about specials, sales and promotions.  You just never know what you might find at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  And thanks again for visiting us here on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  We always appreciate your visits.

Blessings,
