Love You a Bushel Layout

One of my favorite things to do to a layout is add dimension, whether that is with layer pattern paper, using pop dots or with ribbons, lace and beautiful embellishments.
I created this this cluster using the gorgeous ribbons and lace by Really Reasonable Ribbons.  I started on the bottom with the Chloe Natural Crochet Lace and added a bow with the Burlap Ivory String and  Sheer Iridescent Antique Gold Ribbon,
I then tucked Mulberry Leaves, White and Cream Mixed Carnations and then topped it off with the White Magnolia Flower.

Then I continued layer some vintage lace, buttons and burlap to complete the layout.
I hope this inspires you to add some beautiful dimension to your next layout.

Thanks!

Hello, and thanks for stopping by!  Karen Letchworth here today sharing a cute card that I created for you using a wide variety of Really Reasonable Ribbon's amazing products.  I started by attaching several patterned papers together using an awesome Adhesive called Scor-Tape.  Once all my papers, including the die-cut border, were in place, I ran a width of Peacock Alley Seam Binding across my card and I used that along with some Lipstick Red Seam Binding to create my bow.  Atop this bow, you will see that I tucked in pieces of Red Center Stitch Burlap, Blue Center Stitch Burlap, White Crochet Lace, and Red Gingham Ribbon.  I also added several Red, Teal Blue, White and Black Double Head Stamens into the cluster, and topped it with a Red, a Mixed Blue, and a Black Open Rose.  Don't they all look SO pretty together?
I added some vintage scotch tape and some stickers.  I stamped my (thanks) image onto a sticker and I touched all the paper edges with distress inks.  Papers are lovely, but it's really everything else that gives our cards so much personality, texture and detail.  This card really came to life once I added all the wonderful touches from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  And another I thing that I absolutely LOVE about RRR is that they ALWAYS have the perfect color trims and accents for every project.  They really do!
I hope you will take some time to do some browsing/shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You will quickly find that they carry SO much more than hundreds of different ribbons and trims.  They have EmbellishmentsAdhesives, gorgeous Mulberry Flowers and so much more.  There's always plenty of inspiration and fun here on the RRR Blog as well, so we do hope you'll stop by often.

Have a wonderful week; and I welcome you to visit my blog, My Cup Runneth Over, for further details.  We're so glad you stopped by today, and hope you'll visit us again soon.  Keep it crafty!

Ribbons and Flowers and Shakers, Oh My!

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It's Kathy popping in today with a sweet little gardening themed folio.  This one has ribbons and flowers and a shaker element, too!  Oh, My!

This is one of my fun card folio designs.  The side fold folio measures 7" x 5" and it's filled to the brim with interactive elements.  I love the way this Capri Blue Taffeta Ribbon pops against the primary colors in Graphic 45's Mother Goose Collection.  I've used the taffeta ribbon in the bow cluster along with a little Natural Burlap String Bow.  It also serves as the closure mechanism for the folio.

The shaker element is surrounded by a combination of handmade flowers and Red Sweetheart Blossoms.

We are enjoying our tiny summer garden, and that inspired me to make this garden themed folio.  I've combined papers from Mother Goose and Home Sweet Home on the album interior.

I've included lots of flaps and pockets for loads of interactive fun.
I even managed to fit in a waterfall feature so I can take photos of my proud hubby's heirloom tomatoes when they start coming in.

To help you see how all these interactive mechanisms work, I've created a little YouTube video tour. Enjoy!

I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful summer with plenty of time for family, gardening, travel, crafting or whatever pursuits help you to relax.  Summer is gone too soon, so make the most of it and remember to capture those memories!

kathy

Rainbow Ribbon Art

Hi friends and happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! Linsey here sharing a fun project that is easy enough for kids to make with assistance (since the oven is involved) and it will be sure to brighten up any space, too! All you need is ribbon--grosgrain works super well--and a few other supplies/tools and you're ready to make some rainbow ribbon art!
For my rainbow, I used the Bright Colors Grosgrain with Silver Metallic Edges Assortment, which I curled using this easy technique. After painting the background of an 8x10 canvas board, each layer of curled ribbon was arranged in a rainbow pattern. I used mini glue dots to hold my ribbon in place.
The clouds were cut from white felt and arranged in more layers to create the illusion of puffiness. A few sequins were added to the clouds on either side of the rainbow and a few mini sequins were added for a raindrop effect. The sentiment sticker, heart and chipboard piece finish the piece and now I have a pretty little work of art to give away or keep for myself.
I hope you like it and are inspired to try something with curled ribbon too! It's super fun! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Until next time, happy crafting!

Sweet Baby

Hello everyone.  Today I'm sharing this sweet baby card made for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the beautiful white satin delicate stitched ribbon.  I love this ribbon as it makes absolutely gorgeous bows!

For my card today I made the big bow, and then added flowers using JustRite flowers, and Viva pearl pen for the centers. The flowers were done using the glass flower technique. All the die cuts were done a long time ago and were sitting in my stash, they are all from JustRite Papercraft.

I'm keeping my post short and sweet today, as it's been a busy week this week.  Everything was put together using Really Reasonable Ribbons Scotch refill ATG tape, and then the foam adhesive squares. I will put all links below.  I used some scrap design paper and stamped the dot paper using a pink ink for the background on the card.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs to all,

Dashing Through the Snow Large Christmas Tag

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here to share the project I created for day 10 of my 12 Days of Christmas in July YouTube tutorial series.  How can it be day 10 already??? It's going by so fast!!!
I super love to make tags and this one is a whopper coming in at 6 x 7 1/2 inches! Why is it so big you ask? Well it's because I can not possibly decide what fun papers and trims and embellishments I want to use so I'm using them all!
I've gon a bit mixed media on this project adding some stars with texture paste through a stencil. There are also pretty metal charms for a bit of sparkle.
This chevron ribbon is the perfect choice for this winter inspired tag. I've topped it with a second loopy bow of burlap string then finished it with jingle bells.

A garden of "frosty" blooms with die cut foliage tucked in is the final touch to this very vintagy tag.

Please enjoy this process video on how I created this tag....

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Let God Use You Layout

One of the many things I like to add to our family albums is simple words of faith.  I have collected hymnals over the years and use them in a lot of my artwork.
For this layout I added some gorgeous ribbon and lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon to add dimension and softness to this layout.
I used Sheer Iridescent Antique Gold Ribbon and paired it with the Burlap Natural String.  Then I added the Chloe Natural Crochet Lace and vintage cream buttons.

I then tucked a few of the Mulberry Leaves around the photo mat.

Wishing you a creative day.

Hello....How Are You?

Hello!  How are you?  We're sure glad you've stopped by today as I share a sweet little card I created using several FABULOUS Really Reasonable Ribbon products. I attached two patterned papers and a journalling card using strips of Scor-Tape, and then I ran a width of sweet Bay Leaf Seam Binding across my card and used it to tie a bow along with some Lipstick Red Seam Biding.  I topped that with some 10mm Red, Mixed Blue, and Black Open Roses, one 10mm Wild Orchid Crafts Mulberry Leaf and some adorable Red, White, Teal and Black Double Head Stamens.
I stamped my sentiments, added a stamped flower pot and flowers, a die-cut swirl border, vintage scotch tape, and some 10mm Rhinestone Resin Flowers.  I also attached a snippet of some awesome May Arts trims including a piece of Red Center-Stitched Burlap Trim; and I topped that with a (Black) Mixed Color Plaid Fabric Covered Button.  I did a bit of inking on the edges of my papers, and that's about it.
There are so many awesome products available at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and SO much more than just the hundreds of different ribbons and trims.  You can find Embellishments, Adhesives, Hair Accessories, and everything creative you can imagine to make something wonderful.  There are also sales and promotions, lots of inspiration, and our monthly Blog Hops here on the wonderful Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog; so be sure to stop by each day so you won't miss a thing.

Sweeter than Honey Poppy Print Satin Ribbon

Hello, Friends!  It's Kathy here with a sweet summery card to share with you.

Do you enjoy honey?  I love it...and bees!  This 5" x 7" top fold cards celebrates sweet honey and summer colors.

The bow cluster on this card is pretty sweet, too.  I started by using my Zutter-Bow-it-All Tool to tie a triple loop  bow from 5/8" Yellow Poppy Print Satin.  This ribbon is soft and luxurious and ties the prettiest bows!  I topped this off with a triple loop Natural Burlap String bow, some pearls, velvet leaves and flowers.

This pretty summery ribbon is one of the selections from the RRR July Ribbon Club Assortment.  The mix is all summer blues and yellows, and I'm loving it!

That's it for me today.  I hope you are enjoying your summer, finding time to relax and time to create!

Cheerio,
kathy

Ribbon Wrapped Mixed Media Block

Hi friends! Linsey here today and I'm excited to be sharing my latest ribbon inspired project with you! I love dabbling in mixed media and often find that ribbon plays a part in my mixed media creations. It's fun to try using ribbon in different ways and seeing how it turns out! Check out how I incorporated ribbon into my patina-style mixed media block!
I started with a wooden block about 7"x4"x2" in size and began wrapping a variety of ribbons and trims around it horizontally. This instantly creates a texturally interesting background on which to build upon. It's a great way to begin a project of this nature and how you make it look is entirely up to you--your imagination is the limit! I wanted to try a patina-like color scheme so I needed to paint over the entire ribbon-wrapped block with a few layers of white gesso. This is a primer so that there is a white base to work on. This was done after the ribbon was secured to the wooden block with your choice of adhesive. adhesive options include dry or wet; ie-strong, permanent tape strip, mod podge, fabric or wood glue, etc.
I used a several different ribbons and trims for my project. Keep in mind that this is also a great way to use up ribbon scraps of all kinds--love that!
A couple close ups so you can see how nicely everything that has been painted over with gesso is able to take all that gorgeous paint! Super fun to see how all those colors meld together to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
And I hope you've been creatively inspired to add some ribbon and trims to your next masterpiece! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Until next time, happy crafting!

Sweet Baby Girl Card

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday to you all.
Cheryl here today and I have a super sweet baby girl card I made for Really Reasonable Ribbon using their beautiful flowers, ribbons, embellishment, and adhesives. LOVE the sweet ribbon and flowers I used on this one.

For the card base I chose a white card stock to create a 6" x 6" card, and then layered with design papers in pinks and white card stock.  These were found in my scrap stash. I did add some decorative sewing to the edges of each layer.  I also used some Cheery Lynn designs dies for the sweet rocking horse and the frame.  I embellished with the gorgeous ribbons and will list all RRR items below. I used some glitz on the rocking horse, to give a little sparkle, and then a little tiny bow with an embellishment to complete the horse. The big bow was made using the beautiful Canvas colored band with the stitched edge in pink.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies used:
Canvas colored band with stitched edge in pink ribbon
Crosshatch satin on peony ribbon for mini bow on horse
Dimco Ivory /Coral Rose flower
embellishment flowers
foam squares
scotch tape refill

I hope you enjoyed my post for today, and thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a lovely day!
Hugs
Cheryl

Cherish Greeting Card

Hello there and welcome to July! I always love the beginning of the month as I get to share the very first project I've created with the Ribbon Club Assortment.
I know I always say I love the assortments...which is true. But sometimes one comes along that just knocks my socks off. This is the one! It's everything I want in a summer collection.

It inspired this card.........
That floral pattern just blew me away!
I pulled papers from different collections as sort of a mix and match country inspired theme. Or should I say country chic?
And you know me....a garden of flowers is a must for all country chic cards so I gathered this arrangement from my WOC stash. I couldn't ask for a better coordination.
I completed the card with a perfectly sized chipboard frame that has a tiny extra flowers arrangement and a sweet little birdcage charm. I've also added a stamped and heat embossed on velum sentiment. A sprinkling of sequins and voila a card that says summer in the most delightful way.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G
