Picture Perfect Scrapbook Layout

I know that you all use ribbon on your cards, but
have you ever used ribbon or twine in your scrapbook layouts?
Adding a simple scrap piece of ribbon or leftover twine can completely change your layout.
Actually, it can elevate a pretty layout into a beautiful work of heart!

Howdy Ribbon Lovers!
Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here today sharing a scrapbook layout featuring
lots of beautiful treasures from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.
These photos are from 2021-when this old lady lost her mind and gained a new last name.
Yes-I am that old lady. I was 45 in these photos
and happier than I had been in many years.
I wanted to keep the focus on my dress and boots, so I chose a very
muted color palette to work with.
I wanted to enhance the elegance of the photos while maintaining the country look.  Therefore, I mixed lace and gingham with pearls and roses...topped off with some burlap string for good measure.  This Collection by 49 & Market was perfect
and matched effortlessly with the elements that I chose from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The Sharon White Crochet Lace paired with the Bluebird Plaid Ribbon was a match made in heaven! I have been coveting both of these for quite a while in the RRR Store, and I finally broke down and added them to my order.  I absolutely adore this combonation and I will be using it more as I work with my wedding photos! I also tossed some mulberry paper flowers and Ivory burlap string into the mix, along with a few strategically placed flat back white pearls.

When I put it all together, I realized that this was the perfect recipe and exact ingredients that I needed to maintain the integrity of my photos, while enhancing the beauty of the day.  The embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon complimented my layout and kept my photos "Picture Perfect".

Thank you all for stopping by today! Before you go, answer this one question...is there something over in the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store that you have had your eye on?  Is there a project that you want to use it on?  Stop waiting!  Today is the day to set your plans in motion! When you finish it up, drop a link in the comments, as I would LOVE to see!

Easter Envelope Card by Cherry Nelson

Hello my lovely RRR peeps!  Cherry here today! Now that Valentine's Day 2021 has come and gone (whatttt?) I feel it only necessary to start Easter 2021. This year I am craving these soft pastels.  More than any other year.  When I was done with this particular card I was smiling, and that has been sorely lacking.  I used some old embossing folders to emboss my cardstock and also some chipboard. Then I got really wild and broke out my envelope punch board and made this envelope.  I had fun adding things to the inside and lining it in this cute polka dot paper.

I added some diecuts, handmade florals, berries, buttons, lace, and ribbons.  I wanted to soften things up so I edged all my papers with some chalkboard marker.

It's all in the details so I added some Nuvo drops to my wood heart in pink...added some texture with some jute string and called this card done!  Make sure to scroll down for a supply list.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today to the RRR blog!  As always stay healthy and creative.
XOXO, Cherry

For some fun dimension, I added the White Bead Berry Cluster.
Next, I continued to add photos, images, flowers, buttons and stickers to complete this fun and easy layout.  I hope this inspires you to create a layout to capture your memories.

Autumn Art Journal Page

Art journals are a fun and easy way to create smaller pieces of artwork.  Journals are packed with  creativity, but small in space.  It is easy to add dimension and softness with ribbons and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I added one of my favorite ribbons, the Champagne Silky Crush Ribbon to the top of the page.
Next I added the White Magnolia  and tucked bows made with the Ivory Burlap String underneath.
Sticking with the cream tones, I added Ivory Ric Rac and the gorgeous Juliet Natural Crochet Lace to accent the top of the second page.
(Journal pages created from old book, Gesso, Prima Marketing Watercolors and 7 Gypsies products)
I hope you enjoyed a little creative inspiration, dear friends.

Vintage Love Valentine Tag

Happy Wednesday Paper Peeps!  Hope you are having a lovely start to the New Year : ) It's just been terrible cold here in Michigan so I've hunkered down in the shop to keep warm and to create loads of Valentiny projects.

I'm totally into the black and pink color combination this year along with vintage images and trims from my favorite Ribbon place : )

Pretty flowers and pearly accents just feel so right on vintage projects....and Valentine ones too!

This Rose Petal Seam Binding is so lovely and makes the perfect bow along with some Natural Burlap String.

I don't even know where to begin to tell you how happy this combination of stripes and polka dots makes me. It super girly combined with the florals and having spacers between the layers keeps the patterns from being too busy.
Okay that's all for me. Wishing all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative  : ) G

Autumn Blessing Decor

Hi, my name is Sheila Rumney and I am so excited to be joining this very talented design team.  Today, I am sharing a vintage inspired Autumn Blessing decor that can easily be created to hang in your home this autumn season.
I combined the beautiful olive ribbon from the Autumn Sheer with Satin Center Assortment and the Jute String Natural.  The Jute String Natural a great size to thread the vintage button used in the project.

I then added some autumn leaves, burlap, a vintage image, pattern paper and adhered it to a vintage Bingo card.  Then I used the cream color ribbon of the Autumn Sheer with Satin Center Assortment  to add a hanger.

I then added some glitter glue to make the image and leaves pop.

I hope your enjoyed this sweet project and give it a try.

Amazing!

{judy} The last time my sister came to visit, I taught her the Wrinkle Free Distress technique, and we made a LOT of backgrounds. We did Gelli prints as well, and had a lot of fun with that.
One of the distress ink backgrounds I made is the background for the card I am sharing today.
I chose dies and stamps from My Favorite Things (Amazing and Doubly Amazing) and some flowers from Prima for my card. The texture in the gold die cut was already on the paper, so it made it easy! There is a dot for the "i" in amazing, but I decided to leave it off on purpose with this design. I added some Jute String from the RRR Store behind the flowers and layered it on the card base using 1/4" Scor-Tape and it was done! A WOW look for an easy card! The part I love best is that you never know what your background will look like! Give it a try!

Stamps: My Favorite Things
Paper: watercolor, Barely Banana, Cameo Coral, Metallic Embossed Gold (MPS)
Paper Size: 5.5 SQ
Ink: Lipstick, Honey, and Carved Pumpkin Distress Inks, Archival Black (SU!)
Accessories: Prima flowers, Jute String (RRR), Amazing die cut (MFT)

Give Thanks

Hello ribbon lovers and Happy Saturday!
Today my card uses some of the unsung heroes from Really Reasonable Ribbon for embellishing Autumn themed cards.
I've used Natural Mesh Ribbon across the center of the card under the sentiment.  The ivory color would work as well.  The ribbon is really strings of fibers which are held together with a thin monofilament.  I simply unraveled the monofilament until the strands were loose up to the edge of the sentiment panel.  This gives the look of adding several strands of string, evenly spaced beneath the sentiment panel without the hassle!
This rustic bow was created on my Bow-it-All V2.0 in less than a minute.  Really!!  I just figure eight wrapped the Cocoa Jute String around the pegs until I had 4 loops on each side.  When tying my knot I wrapped the center string around two extra times to make a wider center for the bow.  That's it.  To see a video tutorial for a similar bow, please click HERE.
It's fun to experiment with unique ribbons and trims.  What are your favorite styles from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store?
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on the other products used in my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.

Summer Inspired Thank You Card

Hi Everyone... I hope that you are all enjoying your summers and I also hope you have a chance to create lots of fun things while the weather is warm and the days are long.  Today I used a paper line from We R to create my card called Indian Summer and I made it with feathers and jute string from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I love lots of texture and really dug deep into my goodies for this one.  I used burlap for the card base with the kraft paper and then layered Spellbinders dies on top in an oval shape.  Then I stamped my Stampendous stamp called Friendship Assortment in black Versafine ink and tied a piece of pretty jute string across the bottom and added some die cut feathers and a brad.  It was super quick and easy and fun to make.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend....Teresa

Cute Nautical Cards

Today I have a few nautical inspired cards to share being that it's summer and everyone finally has the chance to be out on the water.  I found these cute papers with lots of red, white and blue nautical patterns on them and had some cute navy satin and jute ribbons to inspire me so I went to work and this is what I came up with.
The colors and prints are bright and fun.  I layered lots of the tags and embellishments that came with the papers and set it on a punched circle die from Spellbinders.  To finish the card and make it that much cuter, I added the navy blue organza with satin center ribbon to the tag so that it stood up at the top tied with just a bit of navy jute string to match it.  And I had a cute metal flower and button in my stash to add on top of that.
Here is a closeup of the Spellbinders die that I used for the back circle and the other cute pieces that came with the paper line.
I really like this one and it all started with that cute sentiment and I just added on from there.  I am normally not much of an orange person but I think this works really well together.  Love that little dot for the background and the wave paper was just perfect.  To finish it I tied a cute bow with jute string in navy and you can find lots more colors here.... it such a good addition on cards because it's so lightweight for mailing and not so bulky either.

And that's all for today but be sure and stop back for more fun ideas and also share us on Pinterest too!  Big Hugs... Teresa

Red, White and Blue Card to Share

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday to all of you.  It's almost the end of the month and time for that big Memorial Day Celebration that starts the beginning of summer for all of us.  So today I stayed in the Patriotic theme and created a card to send to a friend of mine.  I layered lots of dies under the sentiment and used lots of pretty ribbons.

For my card I used the royal blue gingham check ribbon and the red jute string and tied a cute bow on the side.  It's bright and cheerful and I love how easy it is to create bows with.

The dies I used are all from Spellbinders.  It's fun to mix and match
what you have to create something new and fun to make.

Thanks for stopping over and have a really wonderful day.

Home and Family are Best

Hi Really Reasonable Ribbon fans and happy Monday to all of you.  Today i have a fun project that I pulled from my stash of goodies to use and decorate my new craft room.  It's a pretty clear paint can that I can fill with flowers or buttons or anything else I need to get organized.  How fun is that to do!

For my project I purchased the clear paint can and covered it with the paper and added a strip of lace on the top to finish the edge.

For the top of the can I cut a small circle of the matching paper to fit inside the lid and then I used this doily that I found and inked around the edges just a little bit and added a kraft flower in the center.  The ribbon I created with scarlet shimmer satin and tied on some blue/gold plaid ribbon and just a bit of ivory burlap string to make a really pretty bow.

And I had lots of bits of paper so I also created this little mini cards that measure 3x3 inches and used a few of my favorite Spellbinders dies to fill the centers up with.  Super easy and super fun to make.
The stamp is from Penny Black and the jute string you can find here in lots of other fun colors.

So that is all for today from me and thanks so much for stopping over.  Don't forget to check out
our new challenge for this month and a chance to win some gorgeous ribbons for you too!

Have a wonderful and crafty day,
Teresa

Life is a Journey Wall Hanging

Hi everyone, it's Teresa here today to share a simple and fun project to decorate your house with.
Like all fun projects that we do, I started out shopping a couple of weeks ago at my local hobby store and spied this cute wooden birdhouse wall hanging to paint and loved it at first sight.  My theme this month for my projects is houses, so this cute little house to decorate mine with was perfect to paint up and add some pretty ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.

To get started on any wood project be sure you sand it good and seal it with a clear coat first to seal it.  Then you can paint each of the colored areas and sand the edges if you want it to be a little more rustic like I did.  (The paints I used are Americana from Deco Arts) The edges I just inked with Gingerbread chalk ink just a tiny bit to soften them and then I glued on this cute wooden sentiment from Heidi Swapp.

To make all those cute bubbles, I used a circle stencil from Prima and sprayed clear Goosebumps from Imagine/Tsukineko over all of it quickly and this is how it came out.  I love it--- and it was super easy to do.  Then I sprayed it with a clear mat varnish to seal it.

To finish my birdhouse I tied up some Wired Edged Burlap in Natural and a small bow of
Seam Binding Ribbon.  I also used some Jute String in both red and white and glued it all on the corner of the birdhouse.

So....Thanks for stopping over today and I hope you get a chance to get some paint out and have fun doing some cute things to decorate your house too.  Have a wonderful week!!

Something to be Thankful for...

Hi Everyone it's Teresa here.  Today I have a simple card to share with all of you to make up to send to some of your favorite family and friends during this wonderful time of year.

I had a really cute thankful stamp from Quietfire Design and it just happened to matched perfect with
some kraft papers and this cute little flower that I had in my stash. I used a simple label die from Spellbinders to create a base with the black and cream cardstock and then stamped the image with black ink on the top layer of it.  To make it more dimensional i used foam dots between the pieces.

To finish it i made this super cute bow at the bottom that really sets off the natural theme of the card and the textures.  I used a mixture of Jute string in both white and natural from Really Reasonable Ribbon and I mixed in just a little bit of black eyelash yarn.  I finished it with a pretty flower that matched from Prima :)

I hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping over today to see what's new on the blog.

Have a great day :)

You are fabulous Mini Book

I was so inspired with the new colors this month for our August Ribbon Club Assortment I really, really had fun with my projects to share this month.  I found a few new things that of course i had to have, lots of RRR ribbons and added a few things I had in my stash.  This easel is a great find by Heidi Swapp and you can even ink it in colors or use color sprays to make it whatever you want it to be.

So today i am sharing this mini book that i did with the easel I picked up and some fun papers by Kaisercraft called Spring Bloom.  The rich oranges, greens and pinks were perfect to mix with my new ribbons and there is lots of places for photos to put of my daughter and her friends.

On this page i used the Burlap Center Stitch Ribbon with a red line down the center. I think it mixes in really well with the kraft tags and the embossing on them.

You can never have enough colors of bakers twine and i love adding a little texture on my pages just by tying a quick bow on it.  You can find all the twine colors in the shop here.....

On this page i used a kraft envelope and glued it down and then covered it with a piece of
kraft paper that i embossed.  I just added a pretty white seam binding ribbon with a pin and a few
stickers from the sticker sheet in the set.  Super quick and easy and this way i can add more
photos if i wanted to.  And you could make a journaling card to put inside too.

I especially love this wired woven chevron ribbon and love the way it mixes with all the
other pretty ribbons that i have.  I mixed the seam binding with it and added a little
bit of jute just because i am a little addicted to using it lately.  I love how it looks and
the ribbons has the prettiest design with the satin and mat together.

Well that's all from me today but i have lots more to share and don't forget to check out the challenges this month for a chance to win some of these beautiful ribbons!!

Have a wonderful weekend....Teresa
