Watermelon Friends Pocket Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  I'm here today with a slice of summertime goodness!  To me, summer doesn't officially start until I've enjoyed my first slice of sweet juicy watermelon.  So I've topped this adorable friendship card with a double serving of Watermelon Plaid Ribbon.

I love it when I can find just the right color ribbon to finish off a project.  And when that ribbon also happens to be plaid, then I'm doubly happy!    This Watermelon Plaid Ribbon ties the prettiest bows!

Nothing says "party" like a banner does, so I've topped my card with a little fussy cut banner.  Pink Burlap String tops it and the ice cream tag on the cover.

I've also threaded some little ribbon scraps through the legs of a paper clip.  Top it off with a pink posy and you've got a mighty cute handmade embellishment.

The inside of the card is sweet and simple with a little spot to write a greeting and a tag pocket combo.  You could easily tuck a little gift card in here, too.

I hope you are enjoying your summer time crafting!

God Always Keep His Promises

Hello there, and thanks for popping by today.  It's Karen here today sharing a pretty card that I created using a few of the (many) GORGEOUS products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I completely realize that there are OODLES of stores out there for crafters, and that we have SO many wonderful choices.  I will say this......I've never encountered any other store where I can find the most GORGEOUS Mulberry FlowersLeaves,  Burlap StringTwine, Ribbons, AdhesivesEmbellishments, and so much more all in one place.  Ribbons, in general, give our projects rich dimension and texture.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has GREAT prices (including reasonable shipping rates), and an AMAZING selection of beautiful products.
I used some Farmhouse patterned papers and button/journalling card from October Afternoon  to create my card base.  I stamped the sentiment (God Always Keeps His Promises) in green, and used a few Tim Holtz miniature staples.  Then.....the fun part - the RIBBON treatment.  I bundled up a length of Olive Green Burlap String and a length of Lemonwood Stripe Baker's Twine.  Next, I tied two bows using the Yellow Gingham Ribbon (found in this month's Ribbon Club Assortment) and added those.  I also laid some Yellow Double-Head StamensBaby Blue Double-Head StamensWhite Double-Head Miniature Stamens, and Matcha Green Double-Head Miniature Stamens.  I topped all that loveliness with some Yellow Open RosesAutumn Gold Open Roses, some Blue Sweetheart Blossoms and a 30mm Green Paper Leaf.
You may also notice that I tucked in an antique (very vintage) button as well as a darling little White Acrylic Flower from our awesome Embellishments section.  I can always count on Really Reasonable Ribbon to have the PERFECT ribbons, trims, flowers, etc. to match everything.  They truly have it ALL when it comes to taking your cards and projects to the next level.  Why not treat yourself today?  We're always happy to have you stop by here at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Blessings,

Karen Letchworth

Many Thanks Card

Hello everyone and Happy Friday to all!  Today I have a sweet Thank You card I made for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the beautiful ribbon, flowers and embellishments from the RRR store. Its been a while since I've stamped so I thought this sweet little kitty would be perfect for this thank you card.

On my card I used this darling stamp I purchased years ago, it's colored with Copic markers, and then the many thanks sentiment is a StampinUp! stamp. I used Scor-Tape, foam squares, and Scotch ATG refill to put it together and layer it. Next I used the beautiful double faced satin brown ribbon, and then the carnations, rose buds and sweetheart blossoms.  The tag is an oldie from Cheery Lynn Designs and so are the corner brackets.
I added dots to each layer using a white gel pen. I love the look of the dots on the brown. The design paper is also an oldie and I can't remember who its from, as it was scrap pieces I used.

Really Reasonable Ribbon supplies Used:
Brown double faced satin ribbon
Bronze Leaves
Carnations
Rose buds
Sweetheart Blossoms
Flower embellishments
Scotch Advance Tape Refill
Foam squares
Scor Tape 1/4"

I hope you enjoyed my post for today! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a lovely day!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Just For You Greeting Card

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here to share a sweet vintagy card.

I just love the simple styling on the so I used it as my focal image. The sentiment is so practical as it can be used for just about any occasion.
A large painted chipboard frame creates a nice base to layer on the tag.
I picked the patterned papers to coordinate with the dress and incorporated a nice warm gray cardstock as matting.
A combination of ready made and made by me flowers with die cut foliage and loopy twine bows tucked in.
A second smaller arrangement on top for balance and last but not least a pretty poofy bow tied with gorgeous plaid ribbon.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Woven Ribbon Headbands and Kanzashi

Hey there ribbon lovers.  Do you ever try different types of ribbon crafts?  If not, you really should!  Woven ribbon headbands are great for that favorite little girl in your life (or even you depending on the ribbon selection) and Kanzashi is great for making hair clips for yourself or even a pin for a jacket or bag.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has all the ribbon and accessories you need to dive right in.

I'm using the gorgeous and summery color palette from the July Ribbon Club Assortment.  I used the citrus multi-dot grosgrain ribbon in my woven ribbon headband along with two solid colors of 3/8" grosgrain ribbon.

Not a member yet?
The July Ribbon Club Assortment is a sizzling summer themed collection of ribbon.  It contains 9 styles and a total of 18 yards of ribbon.  Each monthly assortment is a color or holiday themed collection of ribbon.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

For my headband I used a 1/2" plastic headband and 3/8" grosgrain ribbon.  The Citrus Multi Dot Ribbon is from the July Ribbon Club Assortment and I coordinated Tangerine and Acid Green Solid Grosgrain Ribbon for the twists.

New to woven ribbon headbands?
I did a video tutorial a while back for this weave and I'll share it again today.  You should give it a try.
Beginners should start with the basic woven ribbon headband and build from there.  You can find all my video tutorials HERE.

Since I'm in the process of packing up my craft room to move and don't anticipate unpacking any time soon, I'm going to be doing more work with Kanzashi as I can do that with limited supplied and with a limited work area.  Stay tuned for more in the future.  This flower combines some of the petals that I have done videos on already which I will share below.
For this flower I used both 1-1/2" and 2" Grosgrain Ribbon and a 12mm Silver Glitter Stardust Rhinestone Embellishment for the center.

These two crafts also work very well together.  I put my Kanzashi flower on a Single Prong Alligator Clip and that way you can wear the headband with or without the flower.  When you want the flower, just slip the bottom of the alligator clip in to the weave of the headband.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you'll give Kanzashi Flowers or Woven Ribbon Headbands a try.  Happy crafting!

Umbrella Drinks Tropical Tri Fold Folio

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Why don't you come sit by the pool for a bit and sip on a refreshing beverage while I tell you all about this fun little folio?

This 5 1/2" square folio feels like a summer pool party .  I've surrounded the center shaker box with pretty white flowers, chipboard elements, loopy Ivory Burlap String bow,  and a vibrant Apple Green Sheer Ribbon with Satin Center Bow.  The ribbon is part of the Sizzlin' Summer Ribbon Mix from the July Ribbon Club.  People, these are the colors of summer!

The Acid Green Random Dot Grosgrain Ribbon from the Ribbon Club adds a punch of summer color to the little tags that I've scattered throughout the folio.  I've also used it to make borders on my pockets.

When fully opened, this little folio looks and feels like a party is going on!  From left to right we have a waterfall page, a pocket with photo mount inserts, a dimensional treat/tag pocket and a magnetic flip page.

After topping each little tag with ribbon, I've adhered the bottom edge to the page so that a photo can be tucked in behind.

The pocket page is decorated with a cute little fussy cut banner.  I've tucked 4" x 4" photo mounts into the pocket.

The flap page is decorated with  tropical chippies and has a magnetic closure.

Look how cute the Acid Green Random Dots ribbon looks as a border on the pocket page inside the flap!  I just love adding ribbon to the inside of a project like this.

The center treat pocket hosts a trio of tags: two large pocket tags and one petite tag.  Adding a bit of ribbon to the top of the tags really makes them look finished.

I hope your summer has been filled with fun and a little poolside relaxation!

Thanks for stopping by!

Something Extra Sweet

Hello, sweet friends!  Welcome by my blog today, and thanks for visiting me as I share a fun project that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using several of their amazing products.  I used an old kraft Coffee Bag that I'd forgotten all about. So, I pulled it out and decided to fill it with some yummy bubble gum flavored Jelly Belly jelly beans as a cute gift.  No cuter way to decorate than with all the amazing products found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I ran a width of Ivory Natural Crochet Lace across the top of the bag, and stamped a miniature tag with the word LOVE.  I attached that tag with a dab of hot glue along with a length of Gold Metallic String, a White Mulberry Leave, and some Mixed Pink Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms.  There are so many beautiful Mulberry FlowersEmbellishmentsTwines, Trims and.....well, you'll just have to see for yourself - there's SO much to see at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Down at the middle left of the bag (right by the window showing those yummy jelly beans) I added some more "fluff" to my project by adding a gold puffy heart and pink leather tassel (both are Crate Paper products), and then layering some bundled Ivory Burlap StringGold Metallic String, and Cotton Candy Baker's Twine.  Then, I also tucked in some Milk White Miniature Stamens, and some Pink Miniature Double Head Stamens.  SO sweet!
Thanks again for stopping by, and please visit us again soon.  By the way...in just TWO short days (Saturday, the 13th), our July Blog Hop will start.  Be sure to join us for that; as one lucky person will win this month's AWESOME Ribbon Club Assortment.  I'll look forward to seeing you there!

Until then,
Karen

Mini Album Flip Page One

Hello everyone!  Hope you all had a Happy 4th of July. Today I have a mini album page I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the beautiful ribbons and embellishments that Bonnie carries in the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop.

This is one of the many pages I will be creating for an album I'm currently working on. So for this page I used ReallyReasonable Ribbon's Delicate Stitched Satin, and Double-faced Satin Ribbons. I also used the darling bronze leaves and little white flowers for embellishments on my flip page
The papers are from Graphic45 and I used dies from Cheery Lynn to create my edges. I also ran Really Reasonable Ribbon through the one die cut edge, first time using this die and love the look with ribbon . I figured I would work on each page at a time and then will add them to the album when I’m done. Every page was put together using scor tape and scotch advanced refills from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The little pocket on the front was cut using a CC die and the little tag was cut from the Graphic45 design paper page. I also added sewing to all my layers.

Inside of page there is room for photos and places to journal.

Hope you enjoyed my post for today and thank you for stopping by!

Hugs to all
Cheryl

Christmas in July Greeting Card

Hello there friends and crafty peeps!  It's that time of year again where we gather up all our Christmas crafting supplies and beat the sweltering heat by hiding out inside  creating holiday projects! At least I do anyway lol.
I started this card with a tag from my shop then layered up some of my favorite holiday papers to coordinate.
In my humble opinion you can never have enough doilies so there's a double layer here. One in crisp white and one in gold.

I added several of the elements on spacers for lots of dimension.
These flowers are all made by me and have stamens from RRR. I love me some glittery flowers!
Last but not least is a sweet poofy bow topped with a loopy twine bow and a vintage button.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G
