Ready for the New Year
Each month I am going to embellish one of KI Memories Sew Cute calendar pages and then actually use it to keep track of my family's day-to-day activities (sports practice, appointments, days off, holidays, etc.). In order to be functional, I decided to keep it pretty simple, so I just numbered the days, embellished the front, and created a pre-made layout on the back for my favorite photo of the month. And, of course, those embellishments included ribbon.
For the front, I used lots of Cherry Baker's Twine. There's a three inch strip to connect the mittens. And then each of the red buttons is finished with a little bit. Since discovering the Baker's Twine Assortment in the store, I just can't leave a button untied. It is the perfect finish to any button.
After the month's end, I plan to choose one or two pictures to add to the brown mat. More importantly, I plan to journal about the importance of the photo. Then, I'm going to place each page in an album. Won't it be fun to go back and see just exactly where the time went?
Um, how cute is that snowman with his Red Rik Rak scarf? LOVE that! I also added some Red Circus Dots Grosgrain on top of all my paper strips using Scor-Tape adhesive. Definitely my favorite adhesive for adding ribbon strips to a layout.
Oh, and look, another button with Baker's Twine. Big surprise there, hun? Ha!
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you'll come back on Saturday for our January 1st Challenge. And Happy New Year! Aphra

Butterfly Purse!
Happy Wednesday! It's Connie here. I needed something fun to put gift cards in for my nieces this Christmas, so I decided to create these fun little purses from the Scor-pal November e-zine. They are so fun and simple to make, and then you get to decorate them as you see fit, and here I have used this scrumptious Satin Pleated Ivory Trim from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store, which is on SALE right now! :) The butterfly image will be available from Our Daily Bread designs as of January 1st! Love this fun butterfly, which has a coordinating die for easy cut out!
Thanks so much for visiting today! To see more projects with ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store, head on over to my blog!

After Christmas SALE at Really Reasonable Ribbon

Tuesday: "Thanks"
Memories
Hello Everyone, Erika Taylor here to share with you a layout I did recently using some wonderful ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store. This is a very special layout for me. Each year at Christmas time, I present my husband with a handmade gift showing him my love and devotion. This layout is about just that, a moment at Christmas 2008 where my mom captured a photo of the gift giving.
I've used the Ivory Satin Pleated Trim to give this layout just a little lustre. I distressed the ribbon using some walnut stain Distress Ink to match it better with the layout itself. Using that little bit of ribbon on a project can really make a big difference.
To create the dimension with all of the elements, I've used Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots and Helmar Zapdots . Really easy to use and makes a project come alive. I so love the look of that pleated trim coupled with Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante papers.
Well, that is all for today. I hope that each and every one of you have a wonderful New Years Eve and may you be blessed with peace and prosperity in the new year.
Happy New Year!!!!

Silver Sparkleations!!!
With all of the packages opened, we hope you have had a marvelous Christmas and will continue to have a blessed and fulfilling holiday season! In the North Carolina Mountains we are having a snow storm which was completely unexpected so the day will be spent inside thinking of which cards to make next...THINK VALENTINE'S DAY!!! That's what I am thinking....although White Christmas is all around me!
But I did want to show you my last holiday card for the year which uses some very lovely ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop.
For the horizontal on the front of my card I used 7/8" Silver Grey Organza, although this lovely ribbon comes in four different widths. And please check out the number of colors available in this organza at RRR. You will be amazed!! I made a double flat bow using the Bow Easy Tool. This organza is so easy to tie into a bow and keeps its body beautifully.
For the inside of my card I used horizontals with a base of the same silver organza on the front of the card, but I topped it with 5/8" Shimmer Satin Silver. This type of ribbon, available in 11 gorgeous colors as well as an assortment package, is so sparkly and pretty and a delight to use. The picture does not come close to showing you the sparkly elegance of this ribbon.
If you would like more information about my card or you would be interested in a SWEET STUFF surprise including 13 lovely RRR ribbons and trims you can visit me HERE. Until next Sunday, hugs from Jacque!

Merry Christmas Eve!
Isn't that Happy Holidays card to die for? It is such a simple card to achieve and makes beautiful use of the Christmas ribbon. Simply cut 3 different strips on ribbon, each a different length. Make a bow and glue it down. I used 3 snowflakes from Tim Holtz Grungeboard that I inked and popped up with my Helmar Adhesives Zapdots. Such a simple card with a big look!
Don't forget about the money cards and tags that you can create and decorate using Really Reasonable Ribbon. Every year I incorporate the two of them together for the gifts of money that I give to people.
I'm so thrilled that I got to create for Really Reasonable Ribbon and share my work with you all. I hope your holidays are filled with happiness and tons of creating!!
Sincerely,
Cathy La Hay
