Thinking of You Now and Always

Hi there ribbon lovers.  Bonnie here today with another feminine floral greeting card featuring pretty ribbons from the June Ribbon Club Assortment along with some Mulberry Flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Not a Ribbon Club Member yet?
The June Ribbon Club Assortment is a pink and turquoise color themed collection of ribbon.  It contains 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and crochet lace.  Each monthly assortment is a color or holiday themed collection of ribbon.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

I just love this pretty color combo, don't you?

I love to add some pretty Mulberry Flowers under my sentiment.  Such a quick, easy and inexpensive way to add a real 'wow' to your cards and other crafty projects.  For this card I used pink 15 and 20mm Open Roses below the sentiment.  I simply curled the stems around a needle tool and glued them below the sentiment panel.  My background paper was created with Distress Inks on glossy cardstock.
My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color double-loop bow created on my Bow-it-All Tool using two of the ribbons from the June Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

For a video tutorial on how to create this pretty bow, please click HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on the other products used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.  Have a crafty weekend!

Summer Fun Shaker Card with Paper Clip Embellishments

Hello, Friends!  Kathy here with a really sweet summer card. This 6" x 6" shaker/easel card makes me think of fruit salad! Yum!  Bright  Pink Plaid Ribbon is the perfect playmate for these Prima Fruit Paradise papers.  I've topped my double loop bow with some gold metallic string to add just the right amount of shine, and it picks up on the gold in the floral cluster, too.

Do you ever look for ways to use up pretty little ribbon scraps?  Well, here's a fun idea for you.  See that little paper clip embellishment just to the left of the flower cluster?  That was the very last little bit of my Hot Pink Satin with Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon from June's Ribbon Club Assortment.  Here's how to turn that little 2" scrap into a beautiful embellishment on your next card:

  • First, find a paperclip.  This one is gold, but you can color match to whatever paper you are using.
  • Now cut fish tail banners on each end of the ribbon.  I do this by folding my ribbon in half lengthwise, then snip from the fold to the outer edge.
  • Next, thread the ribbon between the legs of the paper clip.  Hold in place with a tiny dot of hot glue.
  • Top the ribbon with a little posy or a button, as I did here.
Easy peasy, affordable and oh, so cute!

Here's a peek at the inside.  There's just enough room to write a little greeting.  This would be such a cheery little birthday card or get well card, and it's pretty enough to put out on display.

I hope I shared some tips and tricks that you can use in your own crafty adventures.  Wishing you a joyful and creative day!

kathy

A Glorious Fourth

Happy Indepence Day to our BEAUTIFUL country (in just a few days).  What better way to celebrate than with RIBBONS and patriotic accents from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used a nostalgique/vintage piece of ephemera as my focal point for this card.  It's attached to a piece of patterned paper with strips of Scor-Tape; and I also used the Scor-Tape to attach the navy blue doily die-cut that I slipped underneath the focal image.
I bundled some Ivory Burlap String with some Red Miniature StamensNavy Miniature Stamens and Ivory Miniature Stamens and placed that on the doily area.  Next, I tied bow with lengths of 1/2" Navy Winkle Ribbon and 1/2" Red Wrinkle Ribbon and attached those side-by-side atop the bundled items.  The next items I added were some Red Open RosesRoyal Blue Open RosesIvory Open Roses, as well as one White Bead Berry Cluster.
Over on the right-hand side of my card, you'll see a cute Red Plaid Covered Button from our Embellishments Section.  Underneath that, I tucked snippets of White Crochet Lace and Navy Micro Gingham.  They're topped with some Mixed Blues Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms.
There are SO many cute accents at Really Reasonable Ribbon in addition to all their amazing ribbons and trims.  I hope you'll stop by to do some shopping to celebrate the 4th of July!

Thanks for visiting,
Karen

Shabby Chic Card with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well! Today I have this sweet card I made using all Really Reasonable Ribbon embellishments, ribbons, lace and flowers. Pink of course is my favorite color, and I absolutely love how this one turned out. This card was given to one of the gals in Doll Club for her birthday this month.

On my card I layered the same design paper with pink card stock. Then I used the darling doll print out piece. I did add sewing to all layers. Next I chose to use the sweet flower embellishments for all the corners on each layer.

Ribbon was done in a bow, then I used the lace and double satin ribbon too. I also added some feathers for fun! Next I chose the carnation, sweetheart blossoms, mini sweetheart blossoms, and rose buds to create this floral arrangement on my card.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies used:
Sweetheart Blossoms Miniature
Sweetheart Blossoms
Metallic edge satin ribbon
Rose buds
Carnations
Bronze Leaf charms
Gabrielle Off white lace

Enjoy the Little Things Shaker Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here to share a bit of shaker inspiration.

I've decided my projects from here on out must have gold cardstock. So shiny!!!!

I've used it here to create the frame for the shaker cut out as well as one of the matting layers.
Pink and black are one of my favorite classic color combinations and it looks even prettier with that metallic sparkle.

These flowers are all ready made but I gave them a face lift simply by switching out the stamens for a more neutral and coordinated look.

And of course you can't have a card without a big poofy bow right?

~Really Reasonable Ribbon~ Pearl Pink Taffeta Ribbon, Ivory Burlap String, White Magnolia Flowers, Gray Flower Stamens.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

This is Where I Fell Asleep Birthday Card and Tag

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It's Kathy here with a fun way to use your June Ribbon Club Assortment to make a birthday card and gift.

This 5" x 7" top fold card is pink-alicious!  Bright Pink Plaid Ribbon is paired up with pretty pink posies and papers.

This ribbon is part of the June Ribbon Club Assortment, and it's perfect for summer crafting.

I've created a hidden pocket inside the card, where I've tucked in a ribbon topped bookmark as a gift.

The tag element was part of the paper collection, so making this tag was easy. Here are the steps I followed:

  •  I adhered the top 1/3 of the tag on a slightly larger rectangle of cardstock, then trimmed around it to make a 2 layer bookmark.
  • Then I punched a hole in the top of the tag and looped Hot Pink Satin with a Metallic Edge, Summer Fun Diamond Print Grosgrain and Crochet lace through the opening.
  • Next I threaded some cute metal embellishments on a length of silver metallic string and looped that through the same hole.
  • Bright  Pink Plaid Ribbon is tied around this bundle to hold everything in place.
  • Hot Glue a pretty pink flower on top to finish everything off.

You can slip the page of a book between the bottom 2/3 of the tag, making it a perfect bookmark.

I hope I've shared some ideas that you can use with your June Ribbon Club Assortment.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

kathy

Wedding Congratulations Card

Hello ribbon lovers!  Bonnie here today sharing a pretty card I created for my niece to celebrate her wedding today featuring some pretty ribbon and mulberry flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I am not able to be there in person to share this special day with her, but I'm thinking about her today!
I selected the turquoise and white color scheme from the pretty flower on the invitation I received.
The background paper was created using Distress Inks.  I like to make my own background so I can get any color and texture I want.  I added the pretty torn mulberry paper for a romantic feel along with the pretty line of Open Roses beneath the sentiment.
My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All Tool using Ivory and Turquoise Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon.  I also ran that same Turquoise ribbon topped with Gabrielle Lace across the middle of my card under the sentiment panel.

For a video tutorial on how to create this pretty bow, please click HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on the other products used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.  Have a crafty weekend!

Home of the Brave Patriotic Greeting Card

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here to share a very fun and festive and patriotic greeting card.
Hooray for the red white and blue! I just love all the summer holidays : )

This card has so many layers of patterned papers but the solid navy matting really helps to keep it from looking too crazy.

Because the background has a lot going on I kept the embellishing to a minimum. Just kidding I piled that on. More is always better!
Gorgeous WOC blooms here create a lovely arrangement filled in with loopy twine bows and holographic leaves.
Perfectly coordinating ribbon trim, vintage button, and holiday charms finish this card off with patriotic style!

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G
