Let's Talk Turkey

Hi everyone!  I've had this idea in my head for a cute Thanksgiving card for a while and finally got around to trying it.

I cut the turkey's body, beak and waddle with my Silhouette Cameo.  To create the "feathers", I cut 2" strips of ribbon and then hot glue the ends together to form loops. I hot glued them to the back of the body piece. I used several colors of diamond satin ribbon and double faced satin ribbon.
I added a strip of natural jute ribbon and tied a bow with some hemp cord from this set
I think he looks so cute!  This is a great way to use up those little scraps of ribbon and would also be a fun craft for kids.  You could just hand draw the body and have them cut it out by hand.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I added some buttons and tied a pretty bow with this Navy Blue Ribbon.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut he scallop ovals.  I added this adorable little racoon sticker from the collection pack...he's so sweet!

I have a cute project to show you today that is perfect for classroom parties!

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the Halloween Snack Bag holder from Lori Whitlock.   These are perfectly sized to hold a snack size baggie filled with treats.
I embellished them with some cute die cuts and tied them closed with some beautiful chevron twill ribbon.

I saw the idea for this one on Pinterest.  I cut created the sentiment on the computer and tied this one with pretty daffodil ribbon.  Wouldn't these be cute on the first day of school?

Birthday Fishes

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you all had a great week!

I have a fun shaped card for you today.

This file is from the Silhouette Store.  I used my Designer Edition software to weld two fish bowls together to create the card base.  I added some orange hemp cord and a button.  I love this hemp....it looks so cut with buttons and really dresses up a project without making it too feminine.  I added some clear gem "bubbles.

I have a fun card to show you today.

I just received this new paper....it's the Simple Stories Summer Fresh line.  I just love it.  The background is all one piece of paper.  I just cut the pinwheel using a die, added the stick and then finished it off with a cute bow from the Hemp Cord Set Aquamarine.  I finished off this easy card with a sentiment from the paper collection kit!   I love the colors on this....so fun and summery.

Graduation Money Holder

Hi everyone!  Can you guys believe it's the last day of May?  We have a ton of graduation parties coming up in the next few weeks so I need a cute way package up some cash.  I made a really cute money holder with my Silhouette but I thought it would be fun to design one that didn't require a die cutting machine.

So here is a simple tutuorial on how to make a quick money envelope with cardstock and your score board.

This step creates the pocket that will hold the money.

To make the little twine tassel....I wrapped some twine around my Bow Easy and then tied another piece around the upper portion.  I trimmed above and below the tied portion to create the fringe.
I embellished my envelope with some Echo Park - Note to Self paper and a strip of totally twill ribbon and a die cut graduation cap.

Happy Mother's Day

Hi everyone!  I hope you guys are all having a great week.  We finally got some rain down here in South Texas and it really cooled things down.  I hope it lasts for a little while....those 90 degree days were starting too soon!

I have a pretty Mother's Day corsage/award to show you today.

I created mine pretty award by layering a paper doily and a paper rossette.  I used my Cameo to cut this one but you can make one easily by cutting two strips of paper 1-1/2" x 5-1/2.  Score the strips every 1/4" on your score board and then fan fold.  Glue the ends of the strips together, fold flat and then hot glue a punched circle to the front and back.
I embellished mine with an epoxy shape, some pearls and strips of pink satin and white mid ruffle satin ribbons.

This would be beautiful on a gift bag or hot glue a safety pin on the bag and Mom can wear it to church on Sunday.

Hello

Hi everyone!  I hope you guys all had a fabulous weekend.  I have pretty card to show you today that I made using two different ribbons.

I created the base of my flower by cutting a 1-1/2" circle on my Cricut.  I then made ribbon tabs from satin ribbon with scallop edges and hot glued them to the circle.  I added two layers of paper flowers from Michael's and a brown felt brad.  I created the stem by adhering a piece of moss green twill and then tying a second piece around the stem to create leaves.
This pretty paper is from My Mind's Eye.

I hope you like my flower card....thanks for stopping by!

Heart Garland

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope you all have enjoyed the holiday season.  I can't believe how fast this year went by.
For my project today, I skipped right to Valentine's Day.  This is my favorite holiday for crafting.

I made a heart garland to show you guys today.  It's so easy to make.

You will need....
1.  Some die cut hearts.  I cut mine with my Cricut from the Sweethearts cartridge at 3.5"h.
2.  A solid pink paper and a pattern paper.  I used Echo Park "Be Mine"
3.  Some ink for the edges of your pattern paper.  I used Tim Holtz "Soot"
4.  Your favorite adhesive to adhere the two hearts together.
5.  A hole puncher

After you layer your hearts, punch a hole in the upper corners to thread your ribbon.

I used this beatuiful black double faced satin ribbon.  I love how it contrasts with the pink and ties in with grays on the pattern paper.  This is a quick and easy project....it would make a great classroom or mantle decoration.
