Lil' Notes

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday to all!  Today I made this Lil' Notes Card for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the Beautiful Seam Bindings that Bonnie carries. I also used the Penelope Lace.

On my card I used the Beautiful Glitter Writing dp from The Robins Nest and layered it 3 times. Next I used a border punch for the border across the center of my card and added some Mint Chocolate dew drops.

The Lace Envelope is from The Scrapping Cottage and I added some Penelope Lace to the bottom of it. Next I ruched up some seam binding in Danish Blue and added some dew drops to the centers. The sentiment is stamped on a piece of cardstock and I added a ruched up bow to the top.

For my Bow treatment I used the Penelope Lace, Tobacco Seam Binding and Danish Blue seam binding, with a chocolate dew drop in the center.

The sentiment I used is stamped in memento black ink.

My sentiment is from Inspirational Plate #2 by I Brake for Stamps. I stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on Tea for Two designer paper by Cosmo Cricket. The Ivory Box Pleated Ribbon and Penelope Crocheted Lace are just perfect for the designer paper. The pearls (Chino) are my favorite non-ribbon embellishment in the RRR Store!

Lacy Layers

This week with some friends I did some recycling with dryer sheets. You can read all about it and find the tutorial link on my blog here.

I used Cherry Cobbler reinker (I know it looks peach, but I really did use CC!) with some water in a spray bottle, and then sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist for my dryer sheet flower. It is more a background for my paper roses.

My New Acquisitions

Wow! A week ago I was writing a post the night before my trip to see my daughter. I can't believe I am home again already. We had a great time shopping, eating, hiking and hanging out! I miss her! It's a good thing I had to stamp right away to keep me occupied! 

My Ivory Jute Ribbon and Penelope Crocheted Lace are two of my new acquisitions from the RRR Store. I simply LOVE the Jute Ribbon. It also comes in Natural, Red, Spring Moss, Black, Burgundy, Slate and Moss. Oh, I will need them all! The Ivory Jute adds such a cool organic feel to this card:

I used Bloom & Simplify by Unity Stamps for my images. I stamped the sentiment and flower in Blue Bayou ink, then watercolored in some So Saffron and Blue Bayou ink. The sentiment was stamped again (without reinking) onto the flower circle to continue the words without overpowering the flower. 

The designer paper is Stella & Rose Hattie Papers by My Mind's Eye. I added a clip, button and crocheted flower. The flower is tied with a little piece of Natural Jute String.

Hello everyone, and Happy Wednesday to all! Today I'm sharing a project card I made for a dear neighbor of mine. Her & her husband came by to check on me a lot while I was stuck in bed with my ankle. This is just part of the gift set I'm giving her using Really Reasonable Ribbon!

For my envelope card and bookmark I used the BEAUTIFUL Really Reasonable Ribbon Pink Satin, and Natural Lace. Both are my fav's. I'm sooo addicted to Really Reasonable Ribbon, that I think I'm outgrowing my Ribbon Station, hehehehehe. Might have to take some new pictures and update my blog :)

So in my picture here below you can see what it looks like all together, and bookmark and slider tab in place. There is room for my writing and it will be tucked away so she can keep this out without all being able to see my writing (I have horrible writing) hehehehehe

All Dressed Up!

Hello Really Reasonable Ribbon fans!  Jan here to share a porcelain doll that's made using cardstock, fabric and lace.  The delicate lace at the bottom of the skirt and on the straps at the top is Penelope Natural Crochet Lace.  While shopping at thrift stores, I spotted two wedding dresses and they were $1.00 each!  WOW!  The lace that is layered on the skirt is from one of the dresses.  The tiny buttons are part of my vintage button collection.The doll was also a thrift store find and she was $6.00.  She was dressed in shades of lavender.  I removed her clothing and carefully took the dress apart. Here she is with a new wardrobe.

Here's how I started.

Remove clothing.

Using a seam ripper, take the seams out.

Lay pattern pieces on satin fabric, pin and cut out.

I used Graphic 45, Once Upon A Springtime cardstock.  I taped two pieces of cardstock together and prepared it by brushing a generous layer of Liquitex, Matte Medium.  This will make the cardstock, fabric-like. I used the skirt pattern and cut the skirt on the prepared cardstock. 

Sew lace to the bottom of the skirt.

 Mist the back with water and do a fan fold to crease the skirt.

Sew peach tulle on the skirt, then the large piece of lace on the skirt.  Assemble the dress and add buttons.

Vintage Sweet Peas!

Hello, it's Connie! I have another vintage looking card for you today! I so love all of the crochet ribbons and trims that the Really Reasonable Ribbon store has. For my card today, I have used the Penelope Natural crochet lace to accent portions of my card. Additionally, I have used some of the brand spankin' new seam binding! I actually used some white seam binding, and colored it directly with my R11 copic marker to match the colors in my image perfectly! It was just that simple, and let me tell you, it is super easy to work with...I tied my bow with the bow easy in no time flat!! There are also specific colors of seam binding in the store, so be sure to check it out!!


The Sweet Pea image on my card is from Flourishes Stamps. I colored it with my R11, R12 and R14 copics. I then sponged the image panel with some antique linen and spun sugar distress inks to match the Capella Basic Grey paper!
