The Night Before Christmas

Ribbons are always a fabulous touch.  Ribbons, Twines and Trims can be used for SO many different crafting purposes.  And in my humble opinion, Really Reasonable Ribbon is truly the BEST place to find the variety of colors, widths, designs, styles and types of trims for all your crafting needs.  It's not often that I don't include some type of trim on my cards.  However......did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries essential items like Adhesives and 3-D Foam Tabs?  They really have a vast variety of crafting products.
I used basic cream cardstock for the base of my card.  I layered that with patterned papers from my stash including some old October Afternoon papers, stickers and an ephemera card.  I tied some rather long lengths of Baker's Twine around my card and tied a bow with it.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries both Solid and Striped Baker's Twines.  On this card, I used Cherry Baker's Twine and Solid Mint Baker's Twine to match my papers.
I used lots of fabulous Scor-Tape Adhesive to attach everything and hold it securely in place.  I used a cute die-cut from Paper Sweeties to cut my "Christmas cookie for Santa".  I cut it out of cardboard, and it's layered with 3-D Foam Tabs, and then the center is filled with red glitter to represent jelly or frosting in the center of the cookie.  The tiny iced coffee image is also very old, and it's from V's Sweet Ideas.  Do you get it?  The Night Before Christmas....I'm eating cookies and drinking coffee.  LOL
You can find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and that's where you'll also stay up-to-date about special sales and promotions taking place in the RRR Store.  You'll always find the best selection of Ribbons, Trims, Twines, Adhesives, Embellishments, Mulberry Flowers and much more at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  There's also still time to SAVE during the Labor Day SALE.  Details are here on the Blog (just below this post).  Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek and say hello.  I'm always grateful.

Blessings,

As For Me and My House

When I was younger, of course, I had no idea who I would marry or where we would live, etc.  I did, however, know for sure from a very young age that I would always be part of a family that loves the Lord and lives for Him.  When I first married my husband in 1985, we were just 19 years old.  We had much to learn about life.  But praise God, we knew that our household would always serve and honor the Lord.  This card and sweet sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs really celebrate that concept.
This card matches the Lord is My Shepherd card I posted a couple of days ago.  You could say that they're a set, I guess.  I used kraft cardstock and created a fun fold with a closure that opens to reveal a fun inside of the card.  The patterned papers I used are from the Colonial Americana 6x6 Paper Pad by Whimsy Stamps.  The little house I cut uses wool felt, patterned papers, a piece of Solid Red Baker's Twine and a very old die set from Papertrey Ink.
The sentiment I used can be found in the Scriptural Quotes Digital Stamp Bundle which is from Bonnie Garby Designs.  I added the sentiment to the tab enclosure that I created earlier in the process.  I attached the sentiment using Scor-Tape.  We all need Adhesives like Scor-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs, so why not grab them from Really Reasonable Ribbon?
You'll always find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and lots of great shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Thanks so much for visiting to take a quick peek at this sweet little card wrapped with Burlap String.  There are so many great trims (and SO much more) waiting for you at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Happy crafting!

Blessings,
Karen

The Lord is My Shepherd

There's nothing like a beautiful Bible scripture or lovely sentiment to place on your card.  While we all love our stamps, they can get expensive.  By purchasing a simple bundle of digital stamps, you can easily and inexpensively expand your collection of sentiments and scriptures.  One really great place to buy those awesome digital stamps is Bonnie Garby Designs.  I love her digital stamps.  And of course, you're always sure to find the perfect ribbons, trims and twines at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I used a light kraft cardstock and patterned papers from Whimsy Stamps.  I layered my papers and cut some smaller squares using a postage die cut from Papertrey Ink.  I placed the papers and random squares of paper around my card using lots of Scor-Tape to hold everything securely in place.  I printed my sentiment and placed it on 3-D Foam Tabs to raise it.  As I mentioned, the sentiment is from Bonnie Garby Designs and can be found in the Scriptural Quotes Digital Stamp Bundle.
I took a very long length of Natural Burlap String and wrapped it around my card several times, tying it into a bow on the front of my card.  I absolutely LOVE Burlap String.  It's such a fabulous trim, it comes it so many great colors, and it's just TEN CENTS per yard.  One person who visits Really Reasonable Ribbon to see all their fabulous trims and leaves me a message here on this post telling me their favorite color of Burlap String will WIN a 10-yard bundle of Burlap String from me.  I will post the lucky winner's name in my next RRR blog post.
The sweet little sheep I added were created using cream and brown wool felt and were cut using the super cute Primitive Sheep Die Cuts from Whimsy Stamps.   They're just so sweet, and I thought they really went well with the sentiment.  Please be sure to stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to do some shopping for Adhesives, Mulberry Flowers, and ribbons/trims galore.  Thanks so much for visiting me.

Blessings,
Karen

Proud To Be an American

Just one more day until we celebrate Independence Day here in the United States of America.  The 4th of July is a special day for our country, and it's an opportunity for each of us to thank God for all those who have served this great country to give us the freedoms and rights we enjoy today.  If we don't humble ourselves before God and start appreciating our country, all those rights and freedoms can be taken from us.  Be educated, friends.  America, as we now know and enjoy it, is worth protecting.  Let's celebrate our great country together and join in prayer for the future of our great country.  We truly are a blessed nation.
This simple patriotic card was created using a piece of watercolor paper that I rubbed with Tim Holtz crayons and then rubbed with my finger and a bit of water to "smudge" the colors in an attempt to create a flag in the background.  I used this as my backdrop and then cut the flag design using the Eyelet Rectangle Dies from Pretty Pink Posh.  I used the pierced holes created by this die-cut to add some Cherry Baker's Twine giving my border a POP of color.  My paper layers are held together using Scor-Tape.
I used the Patriotic Sentiment Stamp Set from Stamp Simply on my card.  This is a very simple card, but I wanted to show you all how quick and easy it is to create a fun card using Baker's Twine or other trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon to add accent and color to any project.  The Scor-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs are everyday essentials for me (and for most crafters).  If you don't have a regular place to purchase your Adhesives - such as Scor-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs, I hope you'll think of Really Reasonable Ribbon next time you need them.
I love how using 3-D Foam Tabs can give your cards added layers of paper that provide textures and charm like nothing else can do.  Incorporating fabrics, textiles, cardboard, etc. is always a cool touch; and Scor-Tape from Really Reasonable Ribbon will hold it all securely in place.  I hope my patriotic card today was a blessing and an inspiration to you, and all of us here at RRR wish you and your family a happy and blessed 4th of July.

Spread happiness,
Karen

It's A Wonderful Day

Welcome by today, everyone.  It's your friend, Karen Letchworth posting today and I'm so glad you're here to visit us as I share a sweet card that's adorned with ribbons and tidbits from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It's an otherwise quick and easy card to create, but the trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon just take it to the next level in my humble opinion.  I'd love to hear your thoughts on this card.
I used basic white cardstock for the base and the top layer.  The top white piece was cut using a cool die called the A2 Lattice Die from Whimsy Stamps.  Once I attached everything, it was time for the FUN stuff.  I ran a piece of pretty Danish Blue Seam Binding across my card and used that to tie a double bow.  I also tucked in some bundled Ivory Burlap StringLight Blue Burlap String, two sizes of (White) Mulberry Leaves, some Double Head Stamens, and it's all topped with some Light Blue Sweetheart Blossoms.  I also tucked in a couple of stick pins for accent.
The sentiment and small heart are from Carta Bella's Spring Market Stamp Set.  I used the Fishtail Banner Die from Stamp Simply to stamp it on.  It's raised up using 3-D White Foam Tabs.  EVERYBODY NEEDS 3-D Foam Tabs and Scor-Tape Adhesive.  Just saying!  The patterned paper underneath the white cardstock is from the Fabulous Florals Paper Pack by Whimsy Stamps.  The really cool thing is this....no matter what COLOR I had chosen to make this (or any other) card, I know that I can always find the perfect color trims and more at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Thanks again for visiting us here today.  Stay creative and be sure to stop here at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog again soon and often to find lots of great inspiration.  You'll always find the most amazing AdhesivesFlowers, ribbons, trims and more at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  We're grateful for YOU and for your visits, comments, RRR Orders and your friendship.  We all wish you an incredibly creative and wonderful week.

Blessings,
Karen

Bundle of Joy - It's a Boy

Today it's me, Karen Letchworth, posting here for Really Reasonable Ribbon, and it's always a favorite for me creating with their wonderful products.  While I love making cards all the time, there's just something about adding trims, twines and ribbons to my cards.  Of course, Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries basic essentials such as AdhesivesEmbellishments and Mulberry Flowers.  I always enjoy it.
I used black cardstock for the base of my card, and I layered it with patterned papers from a line called Oh Baby by Simply Stories.  This is definitely a much older line from my stash.  All the patterned papers and stickers are from this Oh Baby line.  I used a die-cut from The Greetery to cut the small postage stamp spots.
I used 3-D Foam Tabs for all the pieces that are raised, and I used Scor-Tape to adhere all the things that are flat (papers, stickers, etc.).  In addition to all the fabulous trims of every color, width and style you can image; Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries many crafting essentials.  You'll be pleasantly surprised just how many awesome products they carry.
I added some small Pearl Embellishments to my card and one of the tags.  There are lots of great Embellishments at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I added lots of Baker's Twine to my card and tags.  The card has several colors of Baker's Twine wrapped around it and tied into a bow.  Each tag has various colors of Baker's Twine at the top.
Here's another view of this card.  Below that, I'll share the close-up photo.  I just wanted you to be able to see how cute these papers and stickers are from the Simple Stories Oh Baby line.  The Scor-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs help hold all the cute papers and stickers securely in place.  The Baker's Twine is the perfect cost-efficient trim.
As I mentioned, here's the super close-up photo.  I hope I haven't shared too many pictures.  LOL  I never feel like my photos show all the details of my cards.  I guess that's just how my mind works.  We've all heard that "we are our own worst enemy".  Right?  The papers are cute, the stickers and cute, and the trims just make it all even cuter.
Thanks again for your visit today.  We're always so grateful for you and we really hope that you have a blessed and creative week.  Any time you think of ribbons, twines and trims; we hope that you'll always think of Really Reasonable Ribbon.  And don't forget about all the fabulous essentials they carry as well.  You'll find inspiration here on the RRR Blog and lots of FUN shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Christmas is Coming

It's hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner.  I'm SO unprepared this year.  Last year, I had all my shopping done very early and had a real grasp on it all.  Not so much this year.  I'm behind on everything, and at this point, I kinda don't care.  I just want to enjoy family and not worry about all the shopping, baking and decorating.  Yes, I'm being lazy.  LOL   However, I'm not behind on my crafting.  That's one thing I always have time to do.  And all the wonderful products from Really Reasonable Ribbon help me to get the job done every time.
I used basic white cardstock to stamp everything.  I used stamps from The Greetery including the Ornament Box Top Vertical Rubber Stamp for the frame.  I don't actually own this stamp, so I borrowed it from my BFF, Patti Lyn.  We've been friends for over 55 years now.  She mailed it to me to borrow, and I don't want to return it....LOL.  It's SO cute.  I used the adorable Curio: Attic Ornaments Die and the Pine Dies for the foliage.  The middle ornament is raised up using 3-D Foam Tabs from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Each ornament was tied with a different trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used a length of Solid Apple Green Baker's TwineCotton Candy Baker's Twine and Iridescent String to tie the tops of the ornaments.  I know I say this a lot, but Baker's Twine is AWESOME.  It's just ten cents ($0.10) per yard and it comes it so many great colors - both striped and solid.  I used lots of Scor-Tape to hold everything securely in place.  Scor-Tape is an awesome Adhesive, and it comes in a wide variety of widths to work with every project you can imagine.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries so may fabulous products.
Be sure to stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog often so that you'll always stay up-to-date on all the special sales and promotions as well as to get loads of amazing inspiration on helpful ways to use Ribbons, Trims, Twines, Laces and more.  You'll always find awesome products at fair prices when you shop at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and you'll LOVE what you purchase because the products are amazing.  Thanks for visiting.

Happy Halloween

Hello, creative friends!  It's Karen posting today.  This is not one of my regularly scheduled days to post for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  BUT....because it's SO much fun to create with ribbons, I decided to sneak in an extra card that uses just one sweet trim along with a darling sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs.  It's just to show you how Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie Garby Designs can help you create some great Halloween cards of your own.
I used an image found in the Halloween Sentiments Bundle at Bonnie Garby Designs as the focal point.  It gave me a sweet sentiment and a cute image all in one.  I cut the background using white watercolor paper and a cute cover plate die that I rubbed with oxide inks.  Since there was a cute spider on the sentiment piece, I added a couple more spiders.  When you print out the sentiments from Bonnie Garby Designs, you can rub them with ink, and they still look amazing.  I cut mine with a circle die and placed it on 3-D Foam Tabs.
I ran a length of Purple Gingham Ribbon across my card and tied a double bow with it using the Bow-It-All Tool.  I tucked in a few black and pink Double Head Stamens for texture.  Everything is held securely in place using pieces of Scor-Tape.  I think that covers everything; but if I missed something and you have a question, don't hesitate to ask.  You can find everything you need at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
We hope you'll stop by again soon to see what's new at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You're always sure to find the perfect Ribbons and Trims, AdhesivesMulberry FlowersEmbellishments and SO much more.  Thanks for stopping by.  It's always a treat to have you visit.

Blessings,
Karen

Thank You Card Duo

When it comes to making Thank You cards, you might as well make at least two if you're making one anyway.  Let's face it.....we are BLESSED and we have a lot of Thank You cards to write.  Anyway, I decided to make two quick and easy Thank You cards combining trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon and sentiments from Bonnie Garby Designs.  You can read more here on My Blog.
I used the Many Thanks 2 Digital Stamp Set from Bonnie Garby Designs for the sentiment on each card.  I love all the different fonts in Bonnie's sentiments.  I cut (several) postage stamp rectangles from white cardstock and gingham JilliBean Soup patterned paper.  I layered all these pieces of paper using pieces of Scor-Tape.
I used White 3-D Foam Tabs to raise up the sentiment pieces, and I ran the Solid Black Baker's Twine underneath them.  There are several awesome colors of Solid Baker's Twine and even more color choices in regular Baker's Twine.  This amazing trim is just TEN CENTS per yard.  That means you'll get TEN YARDS of any color for just ONE DOLLAR.  Oh, do you see that pretty White Lace in the photo background?  Well, there's still a bit left.  You can still grab some of this sweet trim before it's gone.
Be sure to visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog often for lots of great inspiration.  I'm always grateful for your visits to My Blog as well.  Oh, and don't forget to stop by Bonnie Garby Designs to check out all the awesome digital stamps.  They all pair so nicely with the amazing products you'll find at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Stay creative.

Blessings,
Karen

Raggedy Sweethearts Pages

Hello crafty friends and Happy Wednesday to you all. Cheryl here today to share a 2 page layout I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the Gorgeous Satin Ribbons in different sizes. Lately Ive been addicted to creating scrapbook pages again, and I love this one! I have photos below showing close ups as well.

So for my pages I chose to use the Satin Pink 1/4" and 5/8" ribbon to use. I also I used lots of scar-tap and foam squares to add my layers. The SVG's are from Marjorie Ann and I put them together , inked up and did their faces, aren't they sweet? Just love these pages!

Now below is a pocket I added a window to, for the soda sweet shop....hehehehe and a mini Raggedy sweetheart is peeping through the window, darling huh? I am so please and can't wait to add some photos to this page set.

I hope you enjoyed my post for today! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a lovely day! Hugs to all, Cheryl W

Congrats To The Grad

Hello, sweet blog friends, and thanks so much for stopping by today as your friend, Karen here, shares a FUN graduation card created by using just a few of the many amazing products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I combined that with a digital sentiment stamp rom Bonnie Garby Designs and came up with this fun card.  I just LOVE how a few simple trims can spice up a card and take it to the next level.
The patterned papers are from the Reminisce Paper Pack.  They're all attached to the black cardstock base using strips of Scor-Tape to secure them.  The sentiment can be found in the Graduation Bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs.  I cut several stars from the patterned paper and I attached the stars and the oxide inked sentiment square using 3-D Foam Tabs.
I bundled some Bright Yellow Burlap String and Black Burlap String to create the bow on the lefthand side of the sentiment.  I topped that bundle of twisted strings with a beautiful pearl Embellishment from RRR.  There are so many great colors, widths, textures, and choices when it comes to ribbons, twines and spooled items.  Really Reasonable Ribbon truly has it all.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  You'll find fabulous inspirations here on the RRR Blog all the time.  You're also sure to find information about special sales and promotions, so stop by often.  Really Reasonable Ribbon really is an AMAZING store that you'll LOVE.  I hope you'll stop by to browse at least.  Have a blessed week, y'all.

Valentines Treat Door Hanger

Hello crafty friends and Happy Monday to you all! This past week I've been super busy trying to do lots of different Valentine's treat holders, as I love making different things. So today's project was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous ribbons and some adhesvies.

So to begin with I used a red card stock on the hanging part, and then covered the front of the box part with some old design paper I had a scrap piece of using scor tape for the front.. Next I added a border punch border to the top, and then some Satin Swiss Dots Ribbon in Red. I then used some die cuts, and some SVG heart cuts for decorating the door hanger, and the darling bunny is Jar of Hearts from Kadoodle Bug Designs. My big pretty bow at the top is Satin Pink Delicate Stitched ribbon, its one of my Favorites. I filled the inside with some suckers and a few different candies. I've been having so much fun creating treat holders for Valentines day.

I hope you enjoyed my Valentines post for today and have a lovely day!

xoxo'x Valentine treat bag

Hello crafty friends and happy Tuesday to you all! Today's Valentines confectionery treat bag was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous ribbons and embellishments.

To start I used a die to cut out my confectionery bag, and then used some design paper to run across the center. Next I punched out a heart border and glued it down using scor-tape, and then added some of the beautiful Satin Swiss dot ribbon over the border. Next I added some heart shaped filigree die pieces, and my darling Valentine Fox from Kadoodle Bug Designs. To finish off the front I added the pretty pink ribbon bow with a flower embellishment in the center, a heart embellishment to the top left corner, and then a wood heart with the xoxo heart. These are super fun to create and perfect little gifts to give.

Merry Christmas tag with RRR

Hello crafty friends and Happy Friday to you all! Today's Christmas Candy tag was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon and also for my grandson. I will be adding this tag to one of his presents for Christmas. This is my last Christmas tag for the year. Hope you enjoy!

So for my tag base I just chose a spellbinders die shape that I like best for this darling dragon. I cut out one in red and one in white, and then stamped my sentiment in red ink on the white card stock. Super easy right?! Next I used the RRR Foam tabs to pop the white frame and then added my white paint dots. for the dragon I used an SVG cutting file, and had these put together from last year, so it was easy to just grab one and use. I did use several foam tabs layered on top of each other to pop him higher up so the sucker could slide in behind him. The suckers came from Walmart. Next I picked out 2 ribbons, and used the plaid christmas ribbon red and green in 5/8" and then the Checkerboard Satin in forest green 3/8", I just looped them both and hot glued to the back. I did staple them together first. Lastly I slide the sucker in and then used a foam tab to hold it in place. Love making these fun little tags for Christmas.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you enjoyed my tag for today! May you all have a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New year!

Hugs to all, Cheryl

Autumn Unicorn card

Hello crafty friends and Happy Monday to you all! Today I'm sharing this sweet Autumn card designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using all the gorgeous flowers and ribbons.

For my card today I chose to use some darling design papers that are fall and from Echo park, and then my sweet autumn unicorn svg file I bought. I distressed all her pieces and glued her together, and then added her eyelashes, and dots and so on. I absolutely love fall as well as summer , but I'm so ready for fall colors now. I chose lots of flowers that RRR carries in the shop, and will list them all below for easy finding.  I do plan on giving this card to a dear friend, I hope she loves it.
