Hope Your Day Blooms...

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday to you all! Today's card that I designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon is a super easy and simple card to make. Love when you need those last minute quick cards....hehehehe.  For this one I used 2 ribbons, and 2 embellishments, all from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Card takes less than 20 minutes to make.
To start I cut out my 2 design paper pieces that came from 2 different paper stacks called "Lemonade" and then Crate Papers "Open Book". I also used the black card stock from Club Scrap to layer with. Each layer does have some simple zig zag stitching.

The Ribbons I used are Satin Swiss Ribbon Dots,  for the bow, and then Diagonal Ribbon Striped Black for underneath it. I embellished my ribbon with a pretty Flower Shape Rhinestone Embellishment.

For the stamping, I used the Mini Misti Tool to align my images and then stamped along with Geranium Heart Song stamps, I colored the flowers with Copic markers YG03,G99,YG95 these are the greens I used. Next I chose RV34,R85,RV11,RV02

Lastly I added 4 white Resin Flower cabochons to the corners of my card. I also added some white gel dots to each layer.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies Used:

1/8" Diagonal Ribbon Striped Black

Happy Halloween Butterfly Greeting Card

Hey there Paper Peeps! Well I'm all up in the Halloween projects these days and my card for today has some great holiday papers and embellies, and some really awesome trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I paired the Satin Swiss Dots on Tangerine with the polka dot patterned papers and it's a match made in heaven.
Handcrafted flowers with brad centers and coordinating orange buttons fill in the arrangement very nicely.
Sequins, shimmer spiderweb, and large Damask clip are frighteningly fun finishing touches for the fun little card.

Okay that's all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) g

Cakewalk Happy Birthday Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!

Our sweet li'l grandgirl celebrated her 4th birthday recently. Naturally, I had to make her a special card for her special day. So I pulled out my Really Reasonable Ribbon and worked up this super fun retro Cakewalk Happy Birthday Card to help her celebrate.
Cakewalk Happy Birthday Card for RRR
I love this retro color palette of teal and aqua. I carried it out by embellishing my card with cheery Red Swiss Dot Satin Ribbon topped with a White Iridescent Metallic String Bow. Simple punched circles are dressed up with a WOC Trellis Rose and some Red and White Sweetheart Blossoms.

To add texture, I lined the base panel with a strip of Melissa Natural Crocheted Lace. This combination of ribbon, lace and flowers really make this card birthday party ready!

If you are also a fan of this great retro color palette, you'll want to take a peek at the April Ribbon Club Collection, which features a fantastic mix of red and turquoise ribbons.

Mother Goose Mini Album with Ribbon Closure

Hello, Ribbon Lovers! I have the cutest little baby themed mini album to share with you today.  The album base is one I designed using 4" x 5.5" white card blanks.  It's decorated with gorgeous ribbon and  papers, chipboard and stickers from Graphic 45's Mother Goose collection.
I wanted to play up the bright, primary colors of this playful collection, so I chose Red Swiss Dots Satin Ribbon for my closure and cheery Yellow Plaid Ribbon for my bow.
I used 1/2" Scor-Tape to secure my ribbon closure, wrapping the ribbon all the way around the front and back cover of the mini album.
I love the texture from the corrugated cardboard covers.  I salvaged a nice piece of 12x12 cardboard from product packaging and put it to good use in this little album.
The mini is loaded with photo mounts, pull outs, pockets and fold down pages.
The little accents of Red Swiss Dots Satin and natural burlap string add a great playful feeling to the album.
The pockets are sized to hold photos and tags.  The one on the right folds down when you remove the paper clip.
I built in a fold out page.
And it can be used for mounting photos on both sides.
I was careful to mount ephemera only along the bottom edge, so that full sized photos can be slipped in behind.
I did a little fussy cutting and banner building, too.
The final page has a cool double pocket that folds down.....
...and folds down some more so there's loads of room for photos of that important first year of baby's life.
I used stars throughout the mini album as a theme to tie all the many pages and images together.  I have to say, I would not have thought to use this yellow gold and red color palette, but I think it really does look smashing, and I love that I was able to find the perfect ribbon complement at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

If you'd like to learn how I built the base of this mini album, I have a full step-out tutorial on my blog today.  You can find that HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!
