    We all need to smile from time to time and this image does just that for me!  I used some fun older papers, flowers, and gorgeous RRR ribbons.  Along with a tissue flower, stick pins, and a buckle I added rose petal seam binding, carolina white lace, and Mauve velvet through my buckle.  Hope this makes you smile too!  hugs, cherry

Quick and Easy Thanks

I have some really lovely designer paper that I hoard. I bought it because I loved how it looked, but then I never use it! So today I pulled it out because I needed some butterflies. I think I am one of the few stampers that has no butterfly stamps or punches! This pretty paper is from The Mariposa Stack (8x8) by DCWV.

My images are sentiments from Flourishes' With Gratitude. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink along the bottom and inside the frame, right on the designer paper.  

Pewter Kaiser Pearls and Black Ric Rac finish the design. Everything is adhered with 1/4" Scor-Tape.

Mother's Day Card and Dyed Ribbon Tutorial

It's Tracey here to share a card project and tutorial. Here's the Mother's Day card I created for my mom. I often buy white or off white ribbon, then color it to coordinate with my project. So, it was natural when making my Really Reasonable Ribbon selections to get several lengths of gorgeous white ribbon. Today, I'll be sharing a tutorial showing you how I dyed ribbon for the bows on this card. 

Mother's Day Card

RRR Products Used:

White Wrinkled Ribbon 1/2 inch

Silky Crush Ribbon 1.5 inch ~ Rose

Kaisercraft Pearls ~ Bliss

Dyeing Ribbon with Alcohol Ink Tutorial

Supply List:

White Wrinkled Ribbon 1/2 inch

Alcohol ink in color(s) of choice (Ranger Sandal)

Small glass container

Water
Heat Tool (Optional)

Step 1. Cut ribbon to length for project.

Step 2. Place enough water in a glass dish to just cover and dye the ribbon when wet. (Plastic containers can be used if disposable, since they will be dyed by the alcohol ink.)

Step 3. Add several drops of alcohol ink to the water. You can combine different colors if you wish, to achieve the hue you need. Start with only 3 or 4 drops, mix well and add ribbon. Allow the ribbon to soak in the colored water for a couple minutes. You can pull some of the ribbon out of the water to check the color. Normally the color will lighted a bit when dry. If you want a darker color, add some more alcohol ink to the water and continue soaking the ribbon. Repeat until you achieve the color you desire. 

**Note** For more intense color, use less water and more alcohol ink, and use darker, more intense alcohol ink colors. 

Step 4. For a crinkled end result, crush the ribbon into a ball. You can let it sit to dry, or if you are like me, use a heat tool to dry, being careful not to get too close to the ribbon, or you may melt it. 

Now you have beautifully dyed ribbon, ready to be used on your creation.

Silky Crush Ribbon Background ~ This gorgeous Silky Crush Ribbon is nice and wide, so just two strips create a beautiful background for my chipboard flourish.

Chipboard Flourish and Butterfly ~ I painted these lovely Blue Fern pieces with antique white paint, then a light coat of liquid pearls in cream to give a wonderful luster and texture to the chippies.

Pearled Chipboard Heart ~ I painted this Blue Fern heart like the other chipboard pieces, allowed to dry, then randomly placed self-adhesive Kaisercraft Bliss pearls on the chipboard using nearly the entire package of pearls. I just love how elegant and soft it looks paired with the bow and flower.

Heat Embossed Title ~ I stamped this mother image on a scrap of paper from the May ScrapThat! Kit with Donna Salazar Pewter Mix'd Media Inx, then sprinkled with Super Fine Detail silver embossing powder and heat set. I fussy cut around the edges.

Hand stitching ~ I pierced the holes around the edge of the card and hand stitched with two strands of Ecru embroidery floss.

Happy Bee Day!

It's Tammy Louise here ribbon lovers!  I got the chance to play with three of the most contrasting ribbons today!  I may have a new favorite color combination as a matter of fact!  This Doily die was threaded with a combination of yellow seam binding, layered with diagonal stripe ribbon, and behind it all, the Jute made for a super textured feel to the card.   It's a really summery style Happy Birthday card for that special "Bee Day" from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store!

Graduation Gift Set by Jenn Cochran

Hi friends and followers of RRR!  It's me...Jenn Cochran.  Today I have a tutorial featuring Really Reasonable Ribbon and Helmar Adhesive.   I have made a gift set for my little Bean for his Kindergarten Graduation.  When I got my DT package from RRR, he had made a comment on how much he really liked the Shimmer Satin Ribbons...this was a perfect ribbon for his gift.

1.  I cut my Shimmer Satin Daffodil ribbon about 8" long.  You will need two at this length.

2.  Fold in half and crease. Run two lines of Helmar 450 on either side of the crease.

3.  Take each end of the ribbon and bring it up just to your crease line and press.  Now you have the start of what looks like a bow.

4.  Do step 3. with both of your 8" ribbons.

5.  Pinch both ribbons in the center and then glue the side of each ribbon in the center together.  Now you have a double bow.

6.  Add a loop of ribbon to the center and secure with Helmar 450.  Then glue your button to the center of your bow.

7.  Add a 6" piece of ribbon to the back of your bow for the "tails" of the bow.

8.  Add flags of different designer paper to the front of your gift bag using Helmar Professional Craft Glue.

Here is the finished product.  I have also made a card to match.  Inside the gift bag are leveled books just one level above Bean's reading level.  This way we have a goal for the summer.

Patriotic Tag

Hello Friends!! Happy Saturday!! Heather here and today I would like to share a tag I created with you using some fabulous Ribbon's and Trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon!

I used the Polka Dot ribbon and white crochet lace from this month's RRR assortment.  

Above you can see the red diagonal ribbon, the polka dot ribbon, Air Mail baker's twine, and a white candi.  I used the candi fix it foam pads to elevate my heart image, bell, star and text boxes.  I inked all my edges with Ranger's vintage Photo.  

I inked the polka dot ribbon with Ranger's Vintage photo as well.  You can see the red candies and white crochet lace below.

One last look at the finished piece.

I tied off the top with some more of the air mail baker's twine and the red glittery red  ribbon from this month's assortment.  The images are all ones I designed and put on a collage sheet. Thank you for visiting today!! Hugs Heather
