Our question of the month is:
How often do you feel that you've lost your crafty inspiration, and what do you do to get it back?
My answer to this used to be that I would just move to another craft for a while since I enjoy so many different things. Now I don't really have time for that, so I just demand that my inspiration return pronto because I have no time for nonsense! (If only it were that easy!!)

What great cards and projects created for the blog hop. Truly enjoyed it. When my crafty inspiration fades away, I just go into my little craft space and try organizing things. Soon inspiration pops up and I'm happy in my own little world - creating STUFF...lol!
ReplyDeleteWOW what a fabulous hop! I gathered all sorts of wonderful inspiration from the team!
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question on what I do when my inspiration fades ... it doesn't take much for me most times ... a bit of blog hopping, peeking through Pinterest or looking through a few of the crafting magazines I have laying around. Before you know it I see something that says "MAKE ME" and off I go! Thanks for the fun hop ... great job!
I just feel like I want to create
ReplyDeleteand that's when I do! I do switch
projects if I feel like it.

I'M REALLY THIS HOP A LOT! THE SPRING ASSORTMENT IS BEAUTIOFUL AS ALL OF YOUR ARE! I LOSE MY INSPIRATION NOW AND THEN, DUE TO TOO MUCH OTHER NONSENSE, NON-CRAFTING JOBS I'M RESPONSIBLE FOR EACH DAY. M WHAT I USUALLY DO IS TAKE A FEW DEEP BREATHS AND LOOK OUTSIDE. IT CALMS ME AND SOOTHES ME INSIDE. IT MKAES ME FEEL AS IF I AM READY TO TACKLE ANYTHING CREATIVE! AS LONG AS I KEEP A POSITIVE OUTLOOK AND DON['T LET THE "CHORES" GET TO ME, I CAN GET MY GROOVE BACK ON RATHER QUICKLY!
ReplyDeleteAll I need to do is look at some beautiful paper, put all coordinating ribbon, and flowers, and start creating! Keeping up with new paper collections, like Prima and Heartfelt Creations, it makes it easy to be inspired! New collections are always coming out.
ReplyDeleteOH! it drives me crazy when the mojo stops, I just get that mental block, frustrating. so I begin looking at my favorite artist sites and see what they are creating, and get inspired. Then I check sites I follow for sales, and products. Like here, what is new each day or month. Then I look at my stamps and dies, and see what would be good with what is now in my hopefully creative mind. Check color papers, and accents. And then sparks begin to coming to together to shine. the mental block can last a whole day. but after browsing and thinking, the next day is the sparks. Relaxed now.
ReplyDeleteI follow so many great design blogs that I think I have more ideas than I know what to do with! But sometimes I'm faced with a challenge that I'm really stumped on. When that happens, I just walk away from the project, set it aside, do another card. Sometimes I'll just start working anyway, piecing together stuff until it takes shape!
ReplyDeleteI was in this fase this week so I just did nothing - wached TV and was angry becouse I couldn`t craft. Whatever I tried to do I couldn`t finish or even put together. So I waited and prayed that this goes by fast and it did. Now I can create with no problems and am happy with the result.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors and fab projects. I keep a folder of screen shots captured for inspiration for each of the crafts I do so I can peruse the pics for inspiration. I also keep a projects folder in my browsers favorites bar and bookmark blogs with projects I'd like to try some day. My problems is usually too many ideas rather than too few!!
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to these blog hops so I can see the beautiful cards and projects everyone makes. When I get stuck, I like to flip thru one of my magazines or go onto one of the blogs that I follow. I'm happy to say that RRR is one of them.
ReplyDeleteI have a chronic disease so I often find myself not feeling like crafting. I try to stop stressing about it and give my body the rest that I believe it's telling me it needs. Now when I do start crafting I seem to be more in the mood and get more done. But during my "resting" times I am blog hopping and on Pinterest looking for ideas :)
ReplyDeleteI have a chronic illness as well so I can relate to your post.
DeleteLike everyone once in a while I do loose my mojo but when I do I just step back from my work/art and leave it for a few days. After that if it still doesn't inspire me I go blog hopping to see what others are doing with their work/art.

I loose my mojo a few times a year, usually due to stress. So when I can calm down enough to concentrate, I start stalking the silhouette online store. I cut any and everything with no rhyme or reason, just to cut. Eventually something sparks an idea then I'm off and running. I also stalk SVGCuts for something different.
ReplyDeleteWhen I loose my mojo, and nothings coming together...I step away from the project, setting it aside. Sometimes it will not get finished!
ReplyDeleteBrowsing pinterest helps to relight that spark for me!
Actually each day I step into my creative room I am terrified my mojo wan't be there..lol...but if and when it happens, I just usually leave and do other things, I do however cruise Pinterest to be inspired or the blogs and/or challenges I find that helps, as well sometimes a little "shopping spree"!!
ReplyDeleteAs a matter of fact, I have not lost my MOJO yet thank goodness, I have soooo many ideas going around in my head.. I lay in bed at night think of what to do for my next project...anyone else.lol I love checking Pinterest for inspiration.

Great hop! When the mojo is lost, I just walk away and do something else.
ReplyDeleteWhen I lose inspiration I stay away from art room for a couple of days, but in evening will cut the light on as a reminder. Some times I go through some of my supplies and find a treasure I had forgotten about and that makes me want to create.
ReplyDeleteGetting ready to hop (already saw Kathy Clements...) As for your question, I usually take some time to look at the people I follow about then, or do something else completely. Thanks for the opportunity to win such an awesome prize, sure could use more ribbon!!!! BTW, same problem on Firefox as IE, thanks for mentioning it.
ReplyDeleteJust finished, want to say how awesome all the projects were!!!
DeleteI always feel my crafty inspiration, I work with young children so I am always trying new projects but when i do lose it I always seem to find it when I go teach the young children they are very inspiring. I feel that when I lose my inspiration I can always go to my blog and find great projects to inspire me s well.
ReplyDeleteGreat hop!! I Lose my crafty inspiration quite often..I then turn to Pintrest for some.. Love browsing on Pintrest!!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! Amazing hop with Beautiful projects!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day,

Wonderful blog hop. When I lose my inspiration I like to watch craft videos, blog hop or take a walk outside and be inspired by nature.
