So Much Ribbon at RRR and So Little Time!!!!

Happy Sunday and welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings blog!! We hope you are having a wonderful weekend. First, I wanted to remind you of some of the happenings in the world of ribbons so that you can put them on your calendar and join in with the rest of us ribbon lovers!!! On Tuesday, March 1, is the first challenge of the month and you don't want to miss the color of the month--wink!!! On Sunday, March 13 is our monthly Blog Hop where the DT will showcase the absolutely gorgeous ribbons from this month's RIBBON CLUB. Be sure to check the REALLY REASONABLE RIBBON SHOP very soon and you will know just how gorgeous the assortment is this month!! And on Tuesday, the 15th of March is the second challenge which will be lots of fun! Also, I'm sure you noticed that Bonnie has posted a DT Call which, if you missed it, can be found in its entirety right HERE.

I want to show you a couple of cards that will give you an idea of how important a certain kind of ribbon can be in setting the tone of the card.

On this first card I have used a 7/8" Pink Gingham for the vertical. The checks are such a contrast to the dotted DP and add such a playful touch to go along with the playful image. This ribbon ties into such a nice bow when using the Bow Easy Tool. To see the amazing number of different ginghams which are available at RRR just click on the GINGHAM heading on the left sidebar at the shop. If you are searching for a particular color or size of ribbon, you will find those headings as well.

For this card I wanted a more casual and tailored look but I also wanted alot of texture. So you can see that I used 1.5" Jute Ribbon to set the horizontal and topped it with 3/8" Totally Twill Red. The Jute is available in 10 very earthy, comfy colors and the Twill is available in 22 wonderful colors!! If you look closely you can also see that I tied the heart buttons with Jute String White. On this card, the jute string reminded me of the kitchen twine...and Bonnie has it in 16 great colors!

Thank you so much for your visit and we would love for you to visit here everyday to see the magnificent projects/cards/tutorials which are updated each day!! Have a fun day and we hope to see you real soon!! Hugs from Jacque!!
