Happy Birthday To You

Hi, friends!  It's Karen here today.  As you all know, it's always good to have lots of cute Birthday cards on hand.  We all need them.  Whether it's one for a kid, a man, woman, friend, or anyone else; there's always a perfect Birthday sentiment to be found at Bonnie Garby Designs and there's always a perfect trim to be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The card I'm sharing today uses both, and they're the perfect combination (in my humble opinion).  They also make it quick and easy to create cute cards.
I used black cardstock for the base of my card and I layered it with patterned papers that are primarily from the Crate Paper line called Party Day.  I used these patterned papers to create my layered base including my sentiment which is from Bonnie Garby Designs and can be found in the Birthday Greetings 2 Digital Stamp Set.  All my paper layers are securely held together using pieces of Scor-Tape.
On the left-hand side of my card, I tied a pretty bow that includes a piece of Solid Yellow Baker's TwineSolid Red Baker's Twine and Green Apple Baker's Twine.  I know that I say this A LOT, but I really do LOVE Baker's Twine.  It comes in so many great colors including solids and stripes, it costs just TEN CENTS per yard, and it adds SO much to our cards, tags and projects.  I LOVE BAKER'S TWINE.💕
You can always find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and lots of great bargains and shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You won't want to miss out on grabbing basics like AdhesivesMulberry Paper Flowers and everything pretty.  Thanks so much for visiting here today.  I'm so grateful for you all.

Cruise Cabin Door Signs

Hello and Happy Mid May!!  Misty @Mommyofkidz here sharing a new project with you, while all of my kids are out in the middle of the Gulf of America, living it up on a cruise ship. They actually left the Saturday before Mother's Day, and only one thought to give me a gift prior to leaving! Kids!!

Anyway, while they did not want MOM to join them on this cruise since they are all "adults" now, they still wanted Mom for other things.  I am taking care of animals, house sitting, and don't get me started on all the things they needed from Mom BEFORE the cruise! LOL  They may be grown, but they still depend on MOM for so much!  Can any of you relate??

One of the things that they asked of me was to make signs for their cabin doors on the cruise. Could they have done it themselves?  Absolutely. WOULD they have done it themselves? Absolutely NOT.

SO, I did what any self respecting Mom would do...I made them BEG!!  LOL!  And then I went to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store and started putting ideas together. I landed on this Netting Trim Ribbon  because it made me think of coral and sea life and fishing nets.

                            Netting Trim

However, when I told them my idea of a beach theme, they all agreed that was boring. UGH! the image in my head was not going to work so I switched gears. Rather than a couple of cute cruise signs, I made several smaller Obnoxious signs! used the Netting ribbon to hang them from hooks. I also made a door "header" for them...and used the gorgeous 1.5 inch Royal Blue Gingham ribbon to "tie it all together" and add a touch of femininity.  Not sure it it worked...but hey, I tried! They all liked them...even the boys.  Skye said they all got "Girly Cocktails" but those margaritas don't look too girly...right?

So...I have a question for you all...
If you were going to make signs for your Cruise Cabin Door, what would you do?
Would you do something Fun like these witty cocktails?
Using the Netting Trim Ribbon and Gingham ....
Would you do something Flirtatious, like the one I did for my Hubby and I ?
OR...Would you go All out on the sea live and

Whatever Ribbons and embellishments you choose, you will always find the PERFECT assortments at Really Reasonable Ribbon!

Wishing You a Very Happy Birthday

When it comes to making cards, I do enjoy adding ribbons, trims and twines of some sort whenever I can.  It gives my cards such warm fun textures and colors.  Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect trim for every card and project I make.  They carry so many great colors, widths, patterns, etc. in various styles and materials.  They also have Adhesives like Scor-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs, and we ALL need those.  I hope you'll stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to look around.
For this card, I used some pretty patterned papers from my oldest and most favorite "stash" items which are from a line called Emma's Shoppe by Crate Paper.  I cut them using the Crimped Frame Dies from The Greetery and layered them together with pieces of Scor-Tape.  The sweet sentiment I used is from Bonnie Garby Designs and can be found in the Bold Birthday Greetings Digital Stamp Set.
I ran a length of Cream Swiss Dot Grosgrain Ribbon across my card and tied a bow with it.  I topped that with a bow tied with Solid Coral Baker's Twine.  I also added in two little Mulberry Leaves and a Sweetheart Blossom.  The ephemera (stickers and flower) are also from Emma's Shoppe.  I think that pretty much covers everything I used on my card, but I'm more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
Really Reasonable Ribbon always has all the perfect Ribbons, Twines and Trims for every project.  They also carry so many essentials we all need - such as the AdhesivesScor-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs in addition to Mulberry Flowers and Embellishments.  I appreciate your visit here today, and I hope you'll stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon for some great shopping and by the RRR Blog for lots of great inspiration.  Happy crafting!

Blessings,

Graduation 2025

Hi there all my Really Reasonable Ribbon Friends! Misty @Mommyof kids here with you today sharing a Feminine Slimline Grad card.Do you know a young lady who will be graduating this year who would love a feminine graduation card as opposed to the mainstream monotonous ones? Not that those are terrible, but most girls like a bit of ribbon and roses and "Fru-Fru"....right?

Well, you can make one for them and it can have as much or as little "Fru-Fru" as you want!

I chose to keep the feminine "Fru-Fru" to a minimum, but I am so in love with how it turned out!

All I have used for this card other than cardstock and adhesive has come from Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie Garby Designs.  If you haven't browsed both shops, you SHOULD!  Trust me, You will find something for every celebration...Even Divorce! LOL...Not even joking!

For this card, I used:

Glitz Ribbon Gold

Wild Orchid Craft 25mm Cottage Roses Mixed Blue Tone

And This Cut file Bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs:
Graduation 2025 SVG Cut File Bundle, Digital Stamp, Cricut, Silhouette, 2024 Grad, Clip Art, Graduate 2024 DIY T-shirt, Clip Art, Cricut

Obviously I did modify the cut a tiny bit so that it would fit onto my card base, but that is the beauty of Bonnie's cutfiles!  They will easily adapt to any and all sizes of craft bases!  I genuinely LOVE all of the designs in her shop, and have used MANY!

With this, I love the BIG BOLD letters...they make a statement worthy of such an accomplishment.  I decided to make a shadow for them and pop the letters up on foam tape...which made it stand out even more in real life.  WOW WOW WOW I love this card! Here is an aerial view so that you can see the lift I gave to the letters in GRAD.

Bonnie's Ribbons and Sentiments come together to give this card such tasteful elegance. I LOVE it, and I truly hope the recipient will as well.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my project! I hope I have inspired you to begin one of your own.  If I have....Head on over to Really Reasonable Ribbon and start your shopping list!

Friends Make the World Beautiful

One of the many things I love about Really Reasonable Ribbon is that they carry such a wide variety of products that we all use.  One of top ones being Adhesives.  If you've never checked out Scor-Tape, I would highly suggest doing so.  I use Scor-Tape to secure so many different things to be products.  Including, as on this card, chipboard pieces, ribbons and more.  You're always certain to find many sweet things you'd love to tuck in your basket before checkout.
I started with white cardstock.  The patterned papers, stickers and chipboard ephemera are all Emma's Shoppe by Crate Paper.  The cool perforated and ripped Ripped Notebook Cover Plate Die is from Picket Fence.  I ran several colors of Solid Baker's Twine through the perforated edges to add color.  The other trim is 3/8" Swiss Dot Pearl Pink with Hot Pink Dots Grosgrain Ribbon.  The fabulous friendship sentiment used on my card is from Bonnie Garby Designs, and can be found in her lovely Friendship Digital Stamp Set.
It's always a treat to have you stop by my blog to have a look around; and to have you leave me a comment is just icing on top of an already unexpected and greatly appreciated blessing.  Layering papers and ribbons is always a nice combination.  I was very tempted to use some Lace on this card, but I know that inventory is running low on this lovely trim.
I also ran some Solid Natural Baker's Twine down the left side of my card and wrapped it around the papers.  I love the texture and depth that papers, stickers and trims (among other things) offer to our cards and projects.  My thought process is that they make things more interesting.  Why not head over to Really Reasonable Ribbon and see what's calling your name today.  You won't regret it (especially all that delicious Baker's Twine).  Thanks for visiting today.

Blessings,
Karen

SMILE, It's Your Birthday!

What would make you SMILE on your Birthday?  I think a big bunch of colorful pastel balloons would put a smile on my face.  And for the times when you can't send an actual bunch of balloons, you can send a FUN Birthday card like this one to put that smile on their face and wish them a happy day.  All the pretty trims I used on this card are from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  They hold the ends of these sweet Birthday balloons.
I used white cardstock and Crimped Frame Dies from The Greetery to cut the layers of my card.  The patterned papers are from the Little Bo Peep line by Crate Paper (from my excessive stash of patterned papers). After I'd cut each rectangle, I attached one using pieces of Scor-Tape which is fabulous Adhesive with amazing long-lasting hold.  The biggest ballon was cut out using a circle die that I turned into a balloon.  The sentiment inside the big balloon is from Bonnie Garby Designs and is found in the Birthday Greetings 3 Digital Stamp Set.  You'll always find the most awesome sentiments at Bonnie Garby Designs.
The smaller balloons were die-cut from white cardstock that I rubbed with various soft colors of oxide inks.  I splattered them with white acrylic paint just a bit.  Some of them have streamers that were die-cut and some have balloon string that were cut from various shades of Solid Baker's Twine.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries fabulous AdhesivesBaker's Twine, Laces, Jute, Mulberry Flowers and trims galore.
Two of my most-used trims are Baker's Twine and Seam Binding.  What trims are calling your name?  Perhaps some Baker's Twine at just TEN CENTS per yard, or some gorgeous Seam Binding at just THIRTY CENTS per yard?  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries a vast array of colors and options for both of these fabulous trims (and so many others).  Some pretty Mulberry Flowers to accent your cards would be a wise choice as well.  Whatever you might need to adorn your cards, you'll find much of it at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Why not treat yourself today?  Go on....you deserve it.

Blessings,
Karen

Springtime Mailbox with RRR

Hello crafty friends and Happy Wednesday to you all! Cheryl here today to share this super fun Tin Mailbox I decorated using Really Reasonable Ribbon, Flowers and embellishments. These are super fun to make, and Ive made 2 this year now.

So first I started with a mailbox that I bought from Walmart several years back. Next I covered the mailbox and the front door with design paper. I did use scape to attach it to the mailbox. Next I covered using trims that really reasonable ribbon carried years ago and put it around the door and the mailbox. Then I chose my flower assortments all from really reasonable ribbon and hot glued them to the top. I did add some Swiss dots grosgrain ribbon that Bonnie carries in the shop. I also added some Little embellishments that are also from really reasonable ribbon. For the front door I grabbed a butterfly and a little tag out of my supplies. And lastly I added the swirl gems to complete my mailbox. If you haven't decorated one of these, you have to try at least once as they are so much fun. Ive made these for the grandkids for valentines day and for others as well to gift. super fun! I love that you can use ribbons, trims, flowers, leaves and embellishments and brads and all the fun things we collect over the years.
Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies:

other supplies I used are from my stash. Butterfly, fabric brads, tulle, gem swirls, design paper, mail box, tag, and leaves all are from my stash.

I hope you enjoyed my post today and thank you so much for looking! Hugs to all, Cheryl

Spring is the Season of Love Bee Themed Greeting Card

Today I am sharing a gorgeous spring bee themed greeting card.  I embellished the card with some pretty ribbons and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon

I created a 4-1/2″ x 6-1/4" card with loads of layers. My digital sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point.  I ran a piece of black Checkerboard Satin Ribbon across the middle of the card and topped it off with a piece of yellow gold Plaid Ribbon.  I finished my card off with a pretty bi-color double loop bow and below the sentiment I have added some pretty 15 and 20mm Open Roses.

The sentiment on the front of my card is from my Spring Sentiments 3 Digi Stamp Bundle. The interior Sentiment is from the Note Card Sentiments for the Inside Digital Stamp Bundle. The background was created with my Honeycomb Overlay SVG Bundle. All my designs can be found on my Bonnie Garby Designs Etsy shop.

Our sister company 'Bonnie Garby Designs' is offering a large variety of digital sentiment stamps and svg files.  Below are the digital stamp bundles I used on my card today.

Happy Easter

With Spring already here, it's no secret that Easter is just around the corner.  I was able to create some Easter cards this week; and as always, Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect trims for every project.  Today I'm sharing a card that uses Seam Binding and Solid Baker's Twine.  It's always good to know that Really Reasonable Ribbon will always have the exact colors, widths, styles and designs to match all my cards, tags and more.
My card has a cream cardstock base layered with some Crate Paper Farmhouse patterned papers that I machine stitched.  I ran a length of Cream Seam Binding across my card and tied a double bow with it.  I topped that with some Green, Purple and Orange Solid Baker's Twine and an Ivory Open Rose.  The sentiment is from Stamp Simply.  Everything is held securely in place using Scor-Tape.
The carrot and shiplap (crate) dies are from The Greetery.  The two photos you see above are the front of this Easter card.  Below you will see the inside view of my card.  The sentiment I used on the inside is from Bonnie Garby Designs and it's found in the Easter Religious Sentiment Digital Stamp Set.  I also added more of the Cream Seam Binding and Solid Baker's Twine as well as some pretty Metallic Gems from the Embellishments Section.
It would mean so much to me if you would stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Shop to look around and possibly treat yourself to some Ribbons, Trims or Twines, Mulberry Flowers, Adhesives or any of the other hundreds of amazing products they carry.  Thank you so much for visiting me here today and please stop by again soon for even more inspiration and creative ways to use ribbons and trims.

Blessings,

Hoppy Easter Card!

 Hello and Happy April First!

Misty @Mommyofkidz here today sharing a super quick Easter card with y'all.  I have been on somewhat of a "PURPLE" kick lately.  Yes, it is my favorite color, but I think it is more than that.  I have heard so many people say that it is difficult to work with the color purple, whether it be on cards, scrapbooking, or even in their home decor.  All the "negative" comments about purple challenged me to see if it was true.

I am here to say...it is definitely not true!

For this card, I started with a couple of my favorite PURPLE items from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and then went from there. I love the results!

But, for this project, I only needed the 1.5 inch Purple.
After cutting the bunny silhouettes out of the different yardsticks, I was also going to need
I mean...I couldn't just leave the bunny butts bare, could I!!??

I wanted a BIG goofy tail, but not too big that it covered the entire backside.

Wild Orchid Craft 25mm Cottage Roses Mixed Purple/Lilac

YES PLEASE! These were the perfect choice!
These are gorgeous in the photo and even more stunning in real life!
I definitely want...no... NEED all the cottage roses!  Trust me, you will love them, too!

I hope that I have inspired you today with my purple passion!
I do actually love the color purple...and would love to see what you can create with it!
Head on over to the  Really Reasonable Ribbon store and grab your favorite PURPLE products and start your own crafting journey!

Happy Mother's Day

I'm ready for Mother's Day this year.  In fact, I have all three of the Mother's Day cards I need all ready to go.  There's one for my own Mom, one for my husband's Mom (MIL), and a third one that's for another very special Mom in my life.  All three of them are hand stitched.  Another similarity is that they each have ribbons and trims to adorn them, and Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect trims for every single card and project.  If you're not quite yet ready for Mother's Day, Really Reasonable Ribbon can help you get your cards done and looking fabulous.
I used purple cardstock for the base layered with a notebook pattern paper that I stamped using the Typewritten Stamp Set from Creative Worship and cut with the Crimped Frame Dies from The Greetery.  I used those same Frame Dies to cut the inner pieces of purple cardstock.  Half of a white doily was tucked in underneath the papers.
I used the Hoopla Mini Dies and Hoopla Mini Inserts Dies to create the cross-stitch frames.  I painted the frames and pins with ivory acrylic paint.  Inside each frame, you'll see ivory cardstock that I cut with the Aida Cloth Texture Plate Die and I cross-stitched little flowers in each one using DMC floss.  I used pieces of Scor-Tape to secure everything in place.  On each of the little frames, I added a Baker's Twine bow including one tied with Plum Baker's TwineLilac Baker's Twine, Solid Purple Baker's Twine and Lemon Baker's Twine.  I topped one with a Purple Miniature Sweetheart Blossom.
I apologize for that last photo; it's super blurry.  Nonetheless, thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'm always delighted to have you visit me and say hello.  I'd love to hear your thoughts on this card.  Be sure to stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to check out all their wonderful products and to check out the trims I used on my card today.  Happy crafting.

Blessings,
Karen

Rainbow Stripe Korker Bow

Hello and HAPPY MONDAY!!
Misty @Mommyofkidz here today and,
Y'all, I have to say, I am so very excited that spring is FINALLY HERE!
The crazy weather the past few weeks has kept this old Mama super sick,
and playing with ribbon has been the last thing on my mind.
BUT FINALLY the weather is warming up and the sun is starting
to shine a bit brighter and a bit warmer down here in Texas.
I can't wait to see all the beautiful colors of spring start popping out!

Obviously I have been having withdrawals from ribbon, so of course my first project HAD to use a LOT of Really Reasonable Ribbon right?   Of COURSE it did!

I pulled out my handy dandy 1/4 inch dowel rods and
wooden clothes pins and set to work!
I knew that I wanted a fun BRIGHTLY colored bow, so I reached for my

Of course, I wanted a variety of ribbons for this bow, so I pulled out all my striped styles and selected a few of my favorites to coordinate. Everything I used for this bow was a grosgrain style...whis is my favorite to make bows with by the way!

Little PSA...There is a SALE in the RRR Store right now...and it is a FANTASTIC discount! You should go check it out!

So, I wrapped the dowels will as much ribbon as I had enough pace for in my oven and I baked it at 250 degrees for 25 minutes.
No other prep work is even needed...just:
WRAP
CLIP
BAKE
MAKE
DECORATE!

Now, there are a few other details to these steps, but those are the FIVE STEPS that I stand by, and stress how super easy it is to make a Korker Bow!
Once I assembled my fun bow, I added some cute rainbow and cloud resin pieces that I had in my stash.  Being an avid crafter, I have LOTS of tiny pretties like this in my stash at all times!  I'm sure you all do, too!

What are you working on today?
Any fun projects sitting on your desk waiting for inspiration?
We would love it if you shared with us!
If there is anything you would like to see the Design Team do with
Ribbon, tell us that, too!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a FANTASTIC week!!
