Watercolor Ornament

With Christmas just around the corner, I wanted to share an easy watercolor ornament that you can create.  Grab some beautiful lace and ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, a flat wooden ornament, buttons, old hymnal page, gesso and your favorite watercolors.
I trimmed the hymnal to fit wooden ornament and glued it.  Next I applied gesso, letting it dry.  Next I added my holiday scene using watercolor and black pens.
Then I add the Arianna Natural Crochet Lace and added a hanger with the Sheer Iridescent Champagne Ribbon.
These are so quick and easy... created a few for you and some to share.
Happy crafting!

Merry Christmas Car with Non-Traditional Colors

Hi friends.  Thanksgiving has come and gone and Christmas is right around the corner.  Time to get working on those Christmas card and gifts!!  Today I'm sharing a pretty Christmas card I created using pinks and purples to match the color theme of the November Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I just love this color combo for Christmas!

This month we have a great deal for US residents.
You can get the October and November assortments together for a special low introductory price of just $17.00!

Not a Ribbon Club Member yet?

The October Ribbon Club Assortment is a collection of Christmas themed ribbon.  It contains 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and crochet lace.  The November Ribbon Club Assortment is a Pink and Purple Holiday Shimmer themed assortment with 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and crochet lace.  Each monthly assortment is a color or holiday themed collection of ribbon.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

This is a somewhat clean and simple design.  Yes, it has multiple layers, but it's a clean design with a focus on the sentiment.  I added some pretty 15mm Open Roses in two different pinks under the sentiment.  I love the special touch the flowers give and Mulberry Flowers are a very economical way to add that special touch to your projects.  Head on over and browse the HUGE selection of Mulberry Flowers offered at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
My card was topped off with a pretty bi-color double-loop bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0.  I used two of the 3/8" Satin with Metallic Edges Ribbons from the November Ribbon Club Assortment and I finished off the center of the bow with a White Pearl Star Shaped Embellishment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on the other products used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.  Happy crafting!!

Nothing Quite Like Ribbons

Welcome by today, ribbon-loving friends!  Today I'm sharing this sweet little card and treat box I created using some of my favorite products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  We obviously all love making cards and crafts; but in doing so, we quickly learn that there is no sweeter touch we can add to our projects that is quite like RIBBONS!   And....Really Reasonable Ribbon is the perfect place to find all the perfect ribbons, trims, twines, laces, and SO much more to help you create something wonderful.
My card was put together using some of my October Afternoon stash.  I attached some of their sweet patterned papers, ephemera, stickers and flair using lots of Scor-Tape and some 3-D Foam Tabs.  Yes, in addition to all their fabulous trims, Mulberry Flowers and Embellishments, Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries several different Adhesives that will securely hold your projects together for the long run.  Once all my other elements were securely in place, I was able to really step up my card with even more of the great products found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I ran a width of Ivory Seam Binding across my card and then I tied a bow with that and a length of Red Wrinkle Ribbon.  I also cut some holly leaves from green wool felt, and topped that with some Red Miniature Stamens, some White Miniature Stamens and a Flair button.  I tucked in some bundled Ivory Burlap String which is yet another FABULOUS trim carried at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It comes in over 15 different colors, and costs just ten cents ($0.10) per yard, and yet it adds SO much to your projects.
You will also see that I put together an adorable little Truffle Box.  I love to make truffles at Christmas time to give to friends, and these sweet little boxes are the perfect size for one truffle.  I added a piece of Ivory Burlap StringLipstick Red Seam Binding (another one of my most favorite items - especially around Christmas time), and a length of Moss Green/Cream Plaid Ribbon to accent this little gift.  And finally, it's topped with an adorable White Sweetheart Blossom.  Pretty, pretty, pretty!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and please be sure to visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon store to pick up some goodies for yourself.  I mean, after all, your name should appear on your Christmas shopping list, too.  Right?

Blessings,
Karen

Easy Paper Ornaments

Hi friends! Linsey here today sharing a fun and easy holiday craft that is fun for the whole family! These paper baubles are so simple, even the kids can join in! All you need is some festive patterned paper (double sided is best), thin crafting wire or string, adhesive dots and of course some beautiful ribbon from RRR! 😊
I found this great tutorial on the internet. On the bigger ornament, I used 5/8″ Plaid Houndstooth Red and White and Delicate White Crochet Lace and made both into separate bows, then layered the lace bow on top of the houndstooth bow. So festive!
The smaller ornament has 5/8″ Plaid Celery Green Ribbon and Delicate White Crochet Lace. I love them both.
And I hope you enjoyed them too! Even, more, I hoped that you may be inspired to make some holiday paper baubles with pretty ribbon too! Thanks so much for stopping by today and letting me share my project. Until next time, happy crafting!

Christmas Heart Tin with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone and Happy Monday to all! Today I'm sharing a fun little recycled heart tin that I used to hold pocket change.  I thought how fun it would be to decorate it with ribbon and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon, so it could be set out for Christmas this year and instead of change inside of it, maybe some wrapped candies.

It's an old See's Candy chocolate tin, and I just added some Really Reasonable Ribbon beautiful Gabrielle Lace around the sides and on the top of the heart tin. Love this beautiful lace!

For the top of the box I made the Gabrielle lace into a big bow and hot glued it to the top.  Next I took the green emerald gingham ribbon and made another bow and layered it on top of the lace, then the red checkerboard satin, and then the baker's twine,.  Next I added the flowers in white open rose, and then a red carnation, and ted and white rose buds. Lastly I added 2 of the beautiful vintage antique bronze flower charms to the top of the heart. I really enjoyed decorating this tin, as its always nice to find new things to create, and recycle.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies:
Gabrielle off white crochet Lace
Gingham Emerald 3/8"
Checkerboard Satin red
bakers twine cherry
Red carnations
open roses white
Rose buds
Antique bronze flower vintage flower charm
green leaves 35mm

I hope you enjoyed my post for today, and thank you so much for stopping by!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

I love the woodland theme of this card.

The Green Burlap String fills in this arrangement perfectly.

More flowers here and a pretty deer charm.

There's layers of die cut foliage to anchor the flowers and Prills for texture.

Explore Layout

Do you enjoy exploring and documenting your adventures?  I created this layout from a past road trip along our many trips.
I used the beautiful crochet lace to add a touch of softness.  Then I layers the burlap natural string, the Mulberry Leaves and the Wild Orchard Flowers in earth tones.
Next I added the silk crush champagne ribbon.
This was a such a fun and easy layout to create.  I hope this inspires you to explore and document your next trip.

Warm Wishes

Welcome by the RRR blog today as I share a sweet little homespun Christmas card I created with some fabulous products found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I had started this card quite some time ago, but never finished it.  So, with my wounded wing (right hand/arm) limitations, this was helpful. I picked up this unfinished card and added some Really Reasonable Ribbon goodness for the finishing touches it needed.  I originally had the card base, patterned paper and doily set in place but had laid the other items next to the card waiting to complete it.
At the top center, I added a few trims from this month's gorgeous Ribbon Club Assortment including a length of White Crochet Lace, 3/8" Light Pink Organza With Satin Center, and 3/8" Garden Rose Satin With Silver Metallic Edge, as well as some Ivory Burlap String to tie on my rusty jingle bells.
OK.....can we please talk about (my favorite accent) Double Head Stamens?  I know I say it often, but they're SO sweet!   They were recently restocked, and some colors have already sold out (because they're awesome).  This is one item I really think everyone should order.  They're so affordable, and they add such a fabulous touch to your projects.   I highly suggest stocking up now before they're all sold out again.  I tucked in several White Double Head Mini StamensLavender Double Head Mini Stamens and Light Blue Double Head Stamens.  They're the best!
I added a few touches of acrylic paint splatter here and there as well as a touch of glitter, a Prima chipboard coffee mug piece, and a small tag that I stamped with a tiny sentiment (warm wishes), inked, and attached with a rusty pear-shaped safety pin to a cinnamon stick that I embellished with more Stamens and a glittered Pink Open Rose.  There's also a 30mm Pink & White Mulberry Leave and more Ivory Burlap String tucked under the rose. It's a fairly simple card, but the ribbons and stamens from Really Reasonable Ribbon are what make this card so sweet.
By the way, don't forget to stop back by tomorrow for the Really Reasonable Ribbon October Blog Hop where one lucky person will win this month's fabulous Ribbon Club Assortment

Blessings,
Karen

Fluttering with the November Ribbon Club

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  If purple is your color, then today's post is just for you!  I fell hard for the Grape Shimmer Satin Ribbon in the November Ribbon Club Assortment.  It's such a soft, vintage shade with a subtle, elegant touch of shine.  Then I got really excited when I realized how beautifully this ribbon pairs with Graphic 45's new "Flutter" collection.  Take a look.

I tucked this double loop bow in the corner of my flower cascade to "tie" everything together.  Then I added just a touch more sparkle with a simple double loop bow of Metallic Silver String.  I think it's purplicious!

I'm pretty much smitten with all the ribbons in this month's club.  It's like having a flower garden at your fingertips.  I hope you get a chance to play with these gorgeous ribbons soon!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Blessed Altered Frame

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a lovely little home décor piece I created for the Thanksgiving season and I hope you enjoy it! I started with an empty frame and filled it with lots of seasonal pretties and of course, some gorgeous ribbons from RRR!
For the inside, I added papers and die cuts along with stickers, buttons, WOC Sweetheart Blossoms White, WOC Sweetheart Blossoms Mixed Pink. I also added a White Bead Berry Spray Cluster to the mix. For my puffy bow, I used Delicate Stitched Satin in Blue Topaz, Vanessa White Crochet Lace and Ivory Burlap String (on the button).
A little Autumn tag in the upper right corner has a bit of 3/8" Plaid Ribbon Raspberry Swirl tied to it. I love how this all coordinates perfectly with the festive scene.
I think this will be a really nice addition to my holiday décor this year. And I hope you've been inspired to create something pretty for your home too! Thanks so much for stopping by and allowing me to share my project today! Until next time, happy crafting!
