Christmas Warmth & Cheer

Hello, sweet blog friends!  It's Karen Letchworth here today, and I wanted to share a couple of sweet Christmas cards I created using some of my favorite trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon, along with some of their new Embellishments.  There are SO many sweet touches available in the Really Reasonable Ribbon Shop to help adorn your cards and projects.  Check this out!
Both of my cards for today were created using patterned papers, stickers and ephemera from Carta Bella's new Christmas Delivery line.  This super sweet Christmas line is just filled with the sweetest designs, and Really Reasonable Ribbon helped me finish them off beautifully!
On my first card (above) I ran a length of the Christmas Traditions Plaid Ribbon, and I also tied a bow with it.  That's topped with a bow of Christmas Baker's Twine, and on top of that are three silver jingle bells tied with a length of Black Burlap String.  I just LOVE how these ribbons, twines and embellishments work together so nicely.  Behind the bow, I tucked a cluster of Wild Orchid Crafts' Bead Berry Spray in White and it gives my card the feeling of Christmas.  Isn't it sweet?
On my second card (above and below), I used two clusters of the Wild Orchid Crafts' Bead Berry Spray in Red.  I just LOVE them.  I cut some felt leaves, and added a bow made from Black Licorice Baker's Twine.  You may also notice that I placed a White Flatback Pearl Sticker on each card.  These sweet pearl accents come in a variety of sizes, and are such a sweet little touch as a random accent or in the center of a flower, etc. You will just LOVE all the great Embellishments carried at RRR (among all their other fabulous ribbons, trims, flowers and more).
Finally, you will notice that I tied a bow of Cherry Baker's Twine to an 11mm Heart-Shaped White Flatback Imitation Pearl and attached it to my card where I had a little ink smudge.  Yes, Embellishments are also a great way to cover our "little mistakes" in crafting.  Again, I used the lovely Christmas Traditions Plaid Ribbon on this card by tying it in a knot and adding it to my cluster at the top right.  I also tucked a small piece of the 1 1/2" Red Gingham Ribbon underneath the journalling tag.  The wider ribbons, like this one, are terrific for adding a sweet touch and to give your cards a lot of great texture and personality.  Really Reasonable Ribbon is a great place to get EVERYTHING you need to make your next card or project extra special!

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget about the fun challenge taking place now on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. We love seeing your creations and having you play along with us.

Blessings to you,

Country Christmas Memory Folder

Hello sweet friends!  Today, I am sharing a homespun Country Christmas Memory Folder.
I enjoy using beautiful country and vintage inspired lace, ribbons and images to document our holiday memories.

I used the Cotton Blend Holiday Snowflakes Ribbon, the Debra Natural Crochet Lace and the Baker's Twine Cherry throughout this memory folder.

The great thing about the twine is you can easily use it to floss your buttons.
Wishing you a wonderfully creative day.

Pie......or Cake?

{judy}Happy Thanksgiving to all my U.S. friends! It's a few of days after, of course, but we enjoy our family time and meal times for longer than just one day. We like to slow the Christmas rush as much as possible!

On Thursday we enjoyed a bountiful meal, and were so thankful for it. And it seems that while other holidays might have cake taking the lead, this one seems to be a pie holiday! So... GET YOUR PIE ON!
Isn't that the cutest image? It's from Art Neko, and called, believe it or not, Get Your Pie On! I think it's so fun! I decided to jazz it up with my colored sequins, as if they were the sugar on top of the pie crust, and made a shaker card.
I stamped with a dark brown dye ink, and then colored in using Distress and Zig markers. I added some wheat die cuts from Reverse Confetti, and topped it off with a beautiful satin ribbon from the November Ribbon Club - Crosshatch on Copper Satin:
This ribbon has such a gorgeous sheen to it! I added some Ivory Burlap String over the top of the ribbon and die cuts and tied a simple bow.
I hope you all have a wonderful week for the rest of November, celebrating your blessings no matter where you are!

More Shabby Chic Fun with The Country Holiday Ribbon Collection

Hello, Friends! I'm having such fun creating with the pretty ribbons in this Country Holiday Collection. They work so well for shabby chic creations that I just had to make this A Little Birdie Told Me Birthday Card. It's filled with all kinds of sweet surprises on the inside.

A Little Birdie Told Me Birthday Card

How shabbylicious is this? I love the way the pink ribbons pull out the pink colors in the designer papers. My ribbon border uses Brown Diamond Satin Ribbon topped with Wild Rose RRR Select Swiss Dots Grosgrain Ribbon. Because these are such soft, pastel colors, the brown border serves to anchor the design.

The corner bow cluster made with Brown Diamond Satin Ribbon balances the bird house cluster in the opposite corner.

A scrap of Rosewood Satin Swirls ribbon and natural burlap string adorn the vintage key. The rustic bird house is topped with a snippet of Crosshatch on Copper Satin Ribbon.

The party is on the inside

I love to create these "party in a card" keepsakes. Fill up the pockets with lots of treats to turn the card into a gift.

The upper pocket contains a key topped tag that would also make a great bookmark. You'll find a pretty pink teabag and magnet in the lower pocket.

What could be sweeter than these darling vintage images combined with beautiful Really Reasonable Ribbon?

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

Hello everyone, and Happy Thanksgiving to all!
I hope you all are enjoying this day with your family and friends!! Today I am busy with decorating our table, and prepping the turkey. We will have our family over, it should be a blessed day for sure!
Today I have a card I wanted to share with you all, this one is using some of Really Reasonable Ribbons BEAUTIFUL embellishments and Ribbons too!
I used the Beautiful Antique Charm Leaf embellishment for the Leaves on my Poinsettia flowers(Cheery Lynn Dies). I LOVE these, as they are absolutely beautiful in person, and make a perfect addition to any of your paper flowers, or mulberry ones too. Now for the centers of my floewrs I used RRR  White Flat Backed Pearls in the 2 smaller sizes. I believe they are the 8mm and 10 mm

The Ribbons I used for my bow are the Red Shimmer Satin for the bottom bow, and then the Turftan Brown Delicate Stitched for the top bow.

For my sentiment I used The Project Bin and used Mini Misti tool to stamp it up. I did use markers in 2 different reds to get the Ombre look here.

All papers are from Club Scrap.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!
Hugs,
Cheryl

Season's Greetings

Hi friends.  I've been working on some more Christmas cards using the pretty Country Holiday November Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I love traditional red and green, but sometimes it's fun to switch things up and try some non-traditional colors too.

The beautiful November Ribbon Collection is a Country Holiday mix of ribbons which will work wonderfully for all your holiday crafts.
Not a member yet??
The November assortment contains 9 styles and a total of 18 yards of ribbon.  Each monthly assortment contains a holiday or color themed mix of ribbon.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbons.
** GIFT SUBSCRIPTIONS AVAILABLE **

I added some beautiful 25mm Cottage Roses under the digital image.  I love what a wonderful touch these mulberry roses make and they are such a quick and easy addition to a card.  Very economical in price as well.  Be sure to take a look at all the Mulberry Flowers that RRR offers.
My bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using two of the styles from the November Ribbon Club Assortment.  The bow was embellished with a pretty 14mm Flower Shaped Acrylic Rhinestone.  I also added a stacked layer of ribbons around the center of the card under the image.

For a video tutorial on how to create this bi-color bow, please click HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on the other items used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.

JOY

Hey, friends!  It's Karen Letchworth sharing today using some of my favorite products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  There's just something about making Christmas card that's FUN!!  I made this card using some patterned paper scraps I've had laying on my craft table for the longest time.  I added some ephemera pieces, a chipboard button tied with Solid Red Baker's Twine and Natural Solid Baker's Twine.  The button tops a bow tied with Lipstick Red Seam Binding and Cream Seam Binding.  I also wrapped a width of the Lipstick Red Seam Binding around my card.
I inked the edges of my card with Tim Holtz Distress Inks (as I usually do).  The little pieces of ephemera (Joy and Santa) are glittery, but you can't see the glitter from these photos.  That's why when people say that their cards are so much prettier in real life, I really do understand what they mean because I often feel the same way about my cards.  Photos just don't capture the wonderful glitter, texture, and special touches that you notice in real life.
Then, since I had some extra time, I decided to make a little Christmas gift item to go with this card that I'm sending to my niece.  I used a tiny, soft, fuzzy red mitten and adorned it by adding two of the sweet little Clusters of Wild Orchid Crafts' Bead Berry Spray in Red topped with a bow of Lipstick Red Seam BindingWhite Seam BindingSolid Red Baker's TwineWhite Metallic Icicle Seam Binding, and a Making Memories chipboard poinsettia button on top.
The mitten is a Starbucks gift card holder from many years past.  I just happened to have a few extras of them that I saved and never used, but always knew I could make cute little treat bags or ornaments out of them.  I'm so glad I put one of them to good use.  Really Reasonable Ribbon is the perfect place to pick up a few precious favorites to sweetly adorn your next project.
Thanks so much for stopping by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today to take a peek at this little Christmas card and gift mitten. I hope that you will check out all the amazing seam binding, ribbons, twines and trim, flowers, leaves, adhesives and SO much more that Really Reasonable Ribbon has to help you make something beautiful.  There's also a FUN CHALLENGE taking place on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  Have a blessed and creative week.

Thanks for stopping by!

No Ordinary Cats

{judy} I am a dog lover. I have an 8 year old rescue dog named Fiona. But — my daughter has a cat, and I am learning to love and appreciate them. We also have six neighborhood cats that take advantage of our sunny front porch and deck, and they are sweet too. And none of them are ordinary!

For my card today I chose No Ordinary Cats from Art Neko as my image for my main tag. I made a watercolor background with distress inks and then stamped my image in VersaFine Onyx Black, using a MISTI to re-stamp until I got the image as dark as I wanted. Watercolor paper has texture, and it sometimes takes several impressions to fill in that texture. This cute image also comes in a half sheet with some other amazing cat images and sentiments.

I layered my main tag with a die cut tag for interest, and added some fun ribbons and Baby Pink Gypsophila flowers to the tops of the tags, along with some fibers from my stash.

Here are the ribbons I used:
As always, I love using Scor-Tape to hold all the layers together!
I think my daughter will like this card!
