Halloween Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here dropping in to share a sweetly spooky Halloween greeting card.

I'm embracing the non-traditional color palate for this Halloween card with purples and greens.  I have layeres of fussy cut images paired with flowers and trims from RRR. That little bat is super cute!

Welcome Autumn

Welcome by again today, everyone.  Today is one of my posting dates for Really Reasonable Ribbon and I always enjoy making and sharing cards using their wonderful products.  No matter what stamps and die-cuts you enjoy, you're always sure to find the perfect embellishments for every card and project at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This will help to make all your projects POP with excitement.
I started with black cardstock combined and layered with some patterned papers and stickers from my stash.  Once I attached all the layers of paper using pieces of Scor-Tape to secure them, I added some washi tape and vintage scotch tape.  Next, I ran a length of Brown & White Gingham Ribbon across my card underneath the patterned papers so that it peeks out just a bit.
I attached several Green, Ivory and Oatmeal Double Head Stamens and then I tied a bow with the Brown & White Gingham Ribbon.  That's all topped with a lovely Coral Open Rose.  I just LOVE all the great products from Really Reasonable Ribbon that help gives cards more texture, color and pizzazz.
The gorgeous sentiment I used is from Bonnie Garby Designs, and it can be found in their Autumn Leaves Stamp Set.  I do hope that you'll visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for lots of great inspiration and then check out Really Reasonable Ribbon for your AdhesivesFlowers, Ribbons and more.  And don't forget about the wonderful Bonnie Garby Designs where you can find awesome sentiments.  Happy crafting, everyone.

Blessings,

Pink Autumn Tea Party in a Box

Prima Hello Pink Autumn, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Kathy Clement, Shaker Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Fall is finally here!  My favorite season of the year!  So I'm celebrating today with a vintage style Pink Autumn Tea Party in a Box card.  Dressed up with Brown and Cream Tartan Plaid Ribbon and Pumpkin Baker's Twine, it is filled with all the gorgeous colors and textures of fall.  I'm thinking asters and pumpkins, crunchy leaves and steaming mugs of Pumpkin Spice Tea!

Really Reasonable Ribbon, Kathy Clement

I tucked a mini folio into the top of this fall beauty.  Then I created a sweet box pocket to hold a variety of tags and goodies you  might want to have at a tea party for one.

Brown and Cream Tartan Plaid Ribbon looks great on top of the cute die cut luggage tag, especially when tied up with a Pink and Brown Twist Baker's Twine Bow.  Do you ever use ribbon inside your cards?  It's one of my favorite tricks to add texture and interest to a card interior.

I hope you are enjoying some glorious fall weather and lots of Pumpkin Spice tea whereever you are.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy

I Love Fall Most of All

I'm so glad you're here today, and I thank you for your visit.  It always fun making cards using ribbons, trims, and flowers. However, it's always extra fun when you can combine all that with another fab company for the sentiment. The card I'm sharing today does just that; as it features some of the FABULOUS products from Really Reasonable Ribbon combined with a sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs.
This card started with a piece of ivory cardstock and I layered it with a piece of patterned paper from my stash.  I also cut the scalloped die-cut border using another patterned paper scrap.  I run a length of the Black & White Bold Check Ribbon down the left side of this card and tied a pretty bow with it.  At the bottom of the card, I added a Faux Pearl Accent and a Peach Open Rose.
The sentiment is from Bonnie Garby Designs and can be found in the Thanksgiving Sentiments Bundle.  I rubbed the sentiment with oxide inks for some color.  Underneath that pretty bow, I tucked several Double Head Stamens and on top of that pretty bow, I attached a lovely Magnolia Flower.  I also ran the bottom half of this card through the Cuttlebug with a Lumber Embossing Folder.
Thanks again for stopping by.  It's always a treat to have you visit.  I hope you will check out Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie Garby Designs.  Whatever you're doing, I hope you're having fun and finding time to be creative.

Blessings,
Karen

Trick or Treat shaker page

Hello crafty friends and happy Tuesday to you all. Todays post is a Shaker page and the front of my Album. Almost done with this, and can't wait to share it all. Anyways this page was created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous ribbons and then flowers from the RRR Store.
So for my page I chose the Luna paper collection and then a huge doily die. I also used the darling shaker gum ball machine and added a witches hat to it. The Gum ball machine is a die cut I purchased from Scrap diva designs. you can save 10% by using my name CHERYLWALKER at checkout. Love how it turned out. The ribbon I used is the beautiful Black bold check ribbon found here. I did make bows for both the tag and machine, and then added some little flowers. The shaker pieces are all different ones mixed up together for the inside. I used the darling little I want candy sticker, and popped it up using the foam tabs, I also used some foam tabs to pop my pieces up.  Love this page, and can't wait to add a photo.
The cover of my book I thought I would share a sneak peek here as I used tons of Really Reasonable Ribbon flowers, they can all be found here. I used open roses, sweetheart blossoms, and then some beautiful pink ribbon called Bold Satin with grosgrain edge pearl pink 5/8' I also added some stickers, and die cut pieces to the front belly band.

Thank you so very much for stopping by and have a lovely day!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Fabulous Fall Critters Easel Card

Ciao Bella Sound of Autumn Easel Card with Really Reasonable Ribbon by kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It still feels like summer here in North Carolina, but the calendar tells me that fall will soon be here.  Time to break out those pretty fall ribbons (my favorite) and festive fall papers, my friends!  This fabulous fall critters easel card features one of my all time favorites: Copper and Cream Plaid Ribbon.  Its rich hues really work for fall projects. Pumpkin Baker's Twine added extra texture to my ribbon clusters, too.  It's the perfect shade for autumn.

I've paired this pretty ribbon up with some 35mm Mixed Earth Tone Trellis Roses  35mm green leaves  and Mixed Earth Tone Chrysanthemums and Sweetheart Blossoms from the RRR shop.

TIP: Did you know  you can alter your mulberry flowers and leaves with mists, paints, sprays and stains?  It's so easy to brush Distress Stain over these grey roses so that they match your papers.  And you can create fall foliage just by tapping Distress Paint over the surface of the leaves.  Try it yourself, and see  how easy it is to create a custom look for your fall cards.

Here's a peek at the inside of this sweet card.  I don't know about  you, but I love to add pockets to my cards so that I can tuck in little surprises or treats.

It's Pumpkin Spice season, y'all!  Hope you are enjoying beautiful fall weather, wherever this post finds you.

Gothic Owl Halloween Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here to share a goth style greeting card created with a printable from my shop and beautifully coordinating trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Seems like years ago purple used to be considered a non traditional Halloween color but I think it has really come into it's own. I created this card with a tag from the Mystical  Gothic Halloween Tags printable from my shop.  The color palate of the tag inspired the trims and flowers.

Eat, Drink & Be Scary

It's always fun creating cards for Halloween.  While I tend to stick more to the "cute" sort of spooky, it's still always fun pulling out my itsy bitsy spiders, potions and Halloween goodies.  With the fabulous pairing of Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie Garby Designs, I knew this card would be a lot of fun to make and share with you all.
I used black cardstock and patterned papers to create my base.  The sentiment is from the Halloween Haunting Bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs.  The candied apple is a Jolee's piece from my super stash.  I pulled off the old piece of black raffia that came with it and replaced it with a length of Solid Black Baker's Twine.
There's a piece of Black Seam Binding placed across my card and used to tie a pretty bow that also includes some Orange Burlap String, Orange Baker's Twine and Double Head Stamens.  I topped that lovely bow with a Black Open Rose.  There are lovely Mulberry Flowers in every variety and every color you can image.....much the same as all their wonderful ribbons and trims at RRR.  You won't want to miss a thing.  Thanks again for stopping by today.

Blessings,
Karen

Welcome to the Pumpkin Patch

Carta Bella, Welcome Fall, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Kathy Clement, Kathy by Design

Hello, Ribbon  Lovers!  Oh, I do love fall most of all!  How about you?  I especially love fall plaids, and I've featured a beautiful Copper and Cream Plaid Ribbon on this Pumpkin Patch card.

Carta Bella, Welcome Fall, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Copper and Cream Ribbon, Pumpkin Bakers Twine, Kathy Clement, Kathy by Design
I also found the prettiest shade of Pumpkin Baker's Twine in the shop.  It was such a good match up for the Copper and Cream plaid that I could not resist adding it to my bow cluster.

Some shades of orange are too, well....orangey...for fall projects.  But this Pumpkin Baker's Twine is just the right hue for fall cards and projects.

Have you started your fall card making yet?  Some people tell me they don't make fall cards, and that's fine.  But since it's my favorite season, I make a lot of them.  I'm so glad that RRR has such a big selection of beautiful fall ribbons and trims, aren't you?

Thanks for stopping by!

kathy

Pretty in Pink Halloween Page

Hello Crafty Friends, and Happy Friday to you all! Todays fun page was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous Ribbons and Flowers from the RRR Shop.

To start I used the Luna design paper on this page, and then used some dies that I cut out in black and some in white. I added those layers on my page, and then along the bottom of the page I added some old trim from RRR and the pink gems. Next I wanted some floral clusters.

Floral Clusters were done using some green flourishes, and then Really Reasonable Ribbon Bold Satin with Grosgrain Edge in Pearl Pink5/8" for 2 of the bows. Then the top bow was done in a Plaid Ribbon Black Bold Check 3/8". I made bows out of that too, and then hot glued them on. I did use some pink feathers too. Next I chose my flowers, and for the large flower I used a trellis rose, and then used some cherry blossom, apple blossoms, and sweetheart Blossoms. lastly I used some rose buds to finish this up.

Tag is from the paper line, I just cut it out and put it on a black card stock and cut it to look like a tag. I added some white dots using a paint pen from postca.

A+ Student!

Hello, everyone! It is Gloria with you today. Some of you have already sent your kids off to school by now. I know that most schools in my area have already started back as well. My future daughter-in-law and her younger sister, as well as my nephew have already started their college classes, too! I don't have little ones in school any more, but from time to time I do need a school-themed card for a special "youngling" in my life, so I made on to share with you today.

This is a simple card, which makes it easy if you have to make a whole stack of them. The card base is 4 1/2" x 6" which is my new go to size. Envelopes size A6 (4 3/4" x 6 1/2") are a pretty good fit. This card can also be resized to A2 very easily.

I used the adorable school papers from Authentique (Scholastic and Studious). I cannot fuss enough about how sad I am that they have stopped making paper! I am so thankful that they were so generous with the team, which allowed me to amass a nice hoard!

I used two prints and then a cut-apart card for the focal image. I used foam tape to pop the image off the card front. The Studious collection also came with stickers, so I used a few of those, too.

I did a very simple ribbon treatment for this card, which keeps it from being too fussy, and also keeps it pretty flat for mailing. I wrapped a length of the 5/8" Smoke Blue Taffeta ribbon around the card where the two printed papers join. Then I tied a small double bow with another piece of the ribbon and hot glued it in place. This ribbon photographs much brighter than it is in person. I really is a soft, smoky blue in person.
I added a few navy blue enamel dots to the bottom left edge of the card for some extra shine. This simple design can be used for any theme or card size.
As always, I lined the inside of the card with white cardstock to give a place to stamp or write a message. A gift card holder could also be added to the inside.

Thanks for joining me today!
