Photoplay Autumn Greetings Card by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It's Kathy here with a sweet Autumn themed card made with the August Ribbon Club Assortment and lovely burlap string.  Fall is the perfect time to add a little rustic texture to your card creations, and burlap string is the perfect way to do it!

Really Reasonable Ribbon Hedgehogs and Pumpkins Satin Ribbon
Here are some quick and easy tips for making this 5x7 top fold card:

  • First, build your card front separate from the card base.  This way, you can wrap your ribbon and string around the front panel.  Once the card front is complete, you can adhere it to the card base.
  • Next, add a pop of pattern, color and design with a Hedgehog and Pumpkins Satin Ribbon Border.  Secure this near the base of the card front with 1/4" Scor-Tape.  Leave the cut ends long so you can wrap them around the sides for a nice, neat finish.
  • Wrap the left hand side of the card with Antique Gold and Brown Burlap String. Leave the ends long enough that you can tie on some cute tea themed charms and tie a bow.
  • Create a bow cluster with Mixed Earth Tone Magnolias , Trellis Roses, and a burlap string bow. I just love the rustic texture this adds to the card.

Photoplay Autumn Greetings Tea Wallet and Tag by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon

You have to tuck a tea bag into a tea themed card, right?  So I created a little tea wallet and tag for the pocket inside this card.  The Antique Gold and Brown Burlap String look great on that little tag, don't they?

As summer winds down, I love breaking out my fall papers, ribbons and embellishments.  The changing of the seasons is always a nice change of pace.  Have you been creating any fun fall projects?  I'd love to hear about them!

Wishing you joy and creativity today!

So Beary Sweet Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday to you all! Today's card was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous Satin Pearl Pink Ribbon/Flowers/& Embellishments all from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store. I've been busy playing with my new Cricut Air2 machine, and I love it!

On my card today I picked some design papers I bought recently at a warehouse sale, and thought they would go perfectly with this svg file. I did three layers using the strawberries and then the backside of the strawberries. I layered them using the Scotch Advanced Tape refill, then added sewing and popped each layer using the foam tabs.  Next I cut out the ovals to put my bear on, and then added some darling ribbon across the top of the jam jar and bow. Next I used some swirl leaves, and added my big pink bow, along with flowers. My bear was distressed using a duster.  She sure is cute! Lastly I added some of the white pearl flowers to the swirls.

Chalkboard Fun

Hey there, sweet friends.  It's Karen sharing (a long post) today, and I'm so grateful that you've stopped by to visit us.  It's a FUN day to have stopped by because I'm posting another project using products from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and that always means it'll be something pretty.  That's because Really Reasonable Ribbon is filled with the most gorgeous ribbons, trims, flowers, adhesives and SO  much more.  Their wonderful products make everything I create EXTRA sweet.  They always have the perfect finishing touches for every project we create.  Just take a look at this, and you'll see what I mean.
I started this project with some black and some white cardstocks which I adhered together securely using cut strips of a FABULOUS Adhesive called Scor-Tape.  It assures that your papers and embellishments will stay securely in place - even long after you've mailed a card to someone.  Scor-Tape is a dependable Adhesive that allows you to not worry about whether or not your card/project will stay together while its recipient enjoys it.  On the second piece of black cardstock, I stamped several words and images in white ink to create a bit of a chalkboard background.  The stamps I used for this include Paper Sweeties Blessed and Merry (words) and Kitchen Sink Stamps (stamp image and script background).  Underneath that black chalkboard piece, I laid a piece of Black Seam Binding topped with a length of Red & White Bold Check Gingham Ribbon.  Then, on the left side, I added more Red & White Bold Check Gingham Ribbon with a piece of Black & White Bold Check Gingham Ribbon.  I love that RRR carries each amazing trim in a wide variety of width and color choices.
I added a small glassine bag which I'll eventually attach permanently (with a strip of Scor-Tape) to the front of the card.  There's a Starbucks gift card tucked inside of it.  The only reason I shared that photo (above) is so you could see the cute background I stamped.  It was an attempt at "chalkboard stamping", so I thought I'd show it to you.  Using another small piece of Scor-Tape, I decorated the glassine bag by attaching a length of the Red & White Bold Check Gingham Ribbon. I topped that with a luggage tag, a Prima ticket, some stickers, miniature paperclips, chipboard and ephemera.  At the top of the luggage tag I added some knotted Solid Red Baker's Twine and Black Licorice Baker's Twine.
I love that Really Reasonable Ribbon carries every color, every style, every width, every texture and type of ribbon and trim a crafter could ever want.  I'm sorry if I sound like a broken record; but I REALY believe in Really Reasonable Ribbon; their products and customer service.  They carry SO much more than ribbons;....from Adhesives, to Mulberry Flowers, and Embellishments to Hair Accessories and Bow Making Tools.  There's more than you would have ever guessed they'd have, and they are GREAT prices, low shipping costs, and AMAZING Customer Service.  .....and your cards will be SO cute.
I took lots of pictures so that you'd be able to see ALL the things I attached to this card.  LOL.  As I've said so many times before, I like to pile it on (more is more).  I can't resist when there are SO many cute things to use.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has loads of darling products to help your cards POP.  Try some Baker's Twine or some fun Double Head Stamens.  I have so much fun using their products.  One thing leads to another, and......there's another ribbon.
Next time you need some ribbons, trims, twines, laces, adhesives, flowers, stamens, embellishments, or just some straight-forward great crafty shopping; be sure to stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon.  There's also lots of great inspiration in the RRR Blog, and a FUN Blog Hop starting on the 13th of each month.  We want to be your crafting and ribbon source, and we hope you'll stop by often.  Thanks for putting up with my long post today.

Blessings,
Karen

Be Happy Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with a very summer inspired greeting card.

I am loving this color palate!  The pinks and yellows are bright and cheerful and the green helps to anchor them so they don't look too light.

I'm finding the slimline card profile has quickly become a favorite for me.  It really helps to get me out of my card rut.

I've created a pretty arrangement of flowers from RRR to finish off this card and a poofy bow of wrinkle ribbon helps to fill in this bottom corner.

~Really Reasonable Ribbon~ Olive Wrinkle Ribbon, Chrysanthemums, Cherry Blossoms, Rose Buds and  Burlap String.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Happy Happy Birthday Card

Hello everyone and Happy Monday to you all. Todays card was designed for my youngest Granddaughter for her 2nd Birthday & Really Reasonable Ribbon using the Gorgeous Ribbons they carry. She Loved it, and so did her mommy.
For my card today I chose to do some cute layers using design papers I just bought, and this sweet SVG file from Marjorie Ann, cut it out on my New Cricut Air Machine and loved making her. The bear pieces were all airbrushed using the copic airbrushing system and my air compressor. Next I cut out the number two using a die , and added it to the little bear. Super fun, however I need practice on these eyes, they kind of were a mess as the pen went through the glue. Next the Happy Happy Birthday stamp is from SU! and I used a punch for the scalloped circles. The bows were made using Really Reasonable Ribbons Gorgeous Satins, and I will list them below for easy finding.

Strawberry Sweet Card

Hello everyone and Happy Monday to you all! Today I have a super sweet card I designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous ribbons and embellishments they carry in shop. This card has tons of layers.  As you all know I love layering, and I also love bears.
On my card I started with a white 6" x 6" base, then added four design paper layers, all have sewing and white gel dots. Next I added three more layers using die cuts for the doily, shaped die, and circle. I stamped a sentiment that is one of my favorites. Next the darling sweet bear is a SVG file, as I just got a new Cricut Air machine, and I'm loving it! I cut her out in brown card stock, red and tan, and distressed each piece. The eye lashes I drew on, and then added lots of white dots, and black gems. Next the strawberries were cut using a die cut from CC dies, and they were colored using Copics. Lastly I added my double bows and flower embellishments to the top, and then added the inside layer. I've been trying lately to get all the insides of my cards complete, as that way I don't have to do it later.

I hope you enjoyed my post for today, and thank you so much for stopping by! Have a lovely day!

Robins & Wrens.....and Ribbons

Hello blog friends, crafters, and ribbon lovers.  Welcome by today as I share a sweet card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using just a few of their (many) fabulous products.  If you're like me (and I know you are), you enjoy creating cards and beautiful things.  I get so much inspiration from all of you talented artists, and when I see your beautiful projects using ribbons, trims and twines; I always know that I can find the perfect products for my cards at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  They carry so many great products including ribbons, trims and twines of all sorts and varieties; but SO much more as well.
This card started with some cardstocks (brown and white) that I pressure embossed using the Organic Linen Embossing Folder from Altenew as well as a brick patterned paper.  I did a bit of machine stitching on my card to set up my card base.  I used strips of Scor-Tape to attach them all together securely and permanently.  The birds were stamped and cut using a sweet set called Wrens & Robins from The Greetery. There's definitely a learning curve to using these stamps, and this was my very first attempt.
Once I had everything in place, I used some FABULOUS products from Really Reasonable Ribbon to give it that warmth and charm that only ribbons and flowers can provide.  I bundled some Natural Burlap String and some Black Burlap String to create a "nest" or cluster of sorts.  Next, I added some Mulberry Leaves as well as some Wine Red StamensFossil Stamens, and Milk White Stamens.  I topped the cluster with a Black Open Rose and two Sweetheart Blossoms.  Do you see what I mean about Really Reasonable Ribbon having so many great products?  They always seem to have exactly what I need.  I encourage you to check out all the wonderful products at RRR.
Thanks for stopping by today.  You can always find lots of great inspiration here on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and learn about special sales and promotions, the monthly Blog Hop (starting on the 13th of each month), and SO much more.  We enjoy your visits.

Blessings,
Karen

Hey Sweetie! Happy Birthday Card

Hello everyone, and Happy Thursday to you all. Today's card was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon and My Makers Movement. I love this ribbon, it's absolutely gorgeous in person, and super easy to work with. I've been so busy working on cards lately.

On my card here I chose to use three layers added to the base.  Next I added the doily die cut in white, and then my sweet little Cottan Candy Cart.  It's a die cut and came with the stamps I used here. I love the RRR Daisy Pearl Flower on the wheel, it's so cute. My big bows were made using the beautiful Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon (one of my Fav's) in Pearl Pink.  Love it! Lastly I added some dew drops to the corners, and sewing to my card.

Here's a little peek of the inside of my card. I added one layer, and sewing.

Hello Butterfly Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here to share a greeting card created with gorgeous trims and flowers from RRR.

I'm having so much fun with the slimline profile. I feel like it gives me much more room for extra flowers!

I used a pretty scalloped edge die to add detail like a frame.

This butterfly was part of a larger journal card. I simply fussy cut the image from the background and voila I have an ephemera like focal point.
All of these flowers are WOC from Really Reason. I really piled them on creating 2 arrangements .
