Friendship Calling Card Folio

Prima Darcelle Card Folio by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  The February Ribbon Club Assortment has such pretty purple ribbons!  And this Light Orchid Diamond Satin ribbon is the perfect adornment for this pretty purple card!

Purple can be a hard shade to match.  So I added lots of different shades to the front of this card.  A bit of Gold Metallic String tucked into the bow cluster makes the gold foil elements in the paper really pop.

I also  love to find ways to use ribbon inside my cards.  Light Orchid Swiss Dots Satin serves as a pretty closure for this flap page.  Simply attach the ribbon to the back side of the page using Scor-Tape before you glue it down to the card base.

I hid a pocket behind the flap, then tucked in a purply tea bag.

Then I tucked a little bookmark and some treats in the bottom pocket for a sweet finish.

How do you feel about purple? I find I really enjoy working with various shades of purple...especially when I can add such lovely ribbons to the mix!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Fairy Lili Wishes

Hello everyone and Happy Friday to you all! Today I have a super sweet card I designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using lots of fun supplies. I've been sorting through my craft room and pulling some older stamps out as I would like to start using them and today I have Fairy Lili to share.
Of course I love lots of layers and chose this new stack I got from Echo park called Carta Bella Summer stack. I did three layers of design papers, one doily cut out, then the sweet Lili Fairy is my 4th layer. Next I used the sentiment I had with her, and stamped up Stampin' Up! frame, and used the matching punch to punch it out.

Embellishments are my flowers, heart, leaves and ribbon. I had so much fun designing this card, can't wait to share my next one. Hope you enjoy my post for today.

Using Baker's Twine

Hi there, friends.  It's Karen here again.  Those of you who know me best are aware by now that I absolutely LOVE Baker's Twine.  You also likely know that I tend to tie it around many (most) of my cards and projects.  I simply can't resist.  Baker's Twine is an incredibly affordable trim  - at just ten cents per yard - and it comes in so many beautiful colors included stripes and solids.  I tend to use it a lot because I know I can always find the perfect color to accent every project.

The black base was cut using a Triangle Cover Plate and I stamped my card using a (retired) Papertrey Ink Stamp Set called Petite Pots (also retired).  I used several colors of Tim Holtz Oxide Inks to stamp all the pretty pots, stems and flowers.  I wanted the stamping and sentiment to be the focal points of the card.  By adding Baker's Twine, I can give my card that depth and texture it needs without overwhelming the beauty of the stamping.  It's always a perfect touch.
The card is very simple, but it still need just a bit of trim and I thought the Solid Plum Baker's Twine and the Solid Black Baker's Twine were the perfect touches for this sweet card.  I can still easily slide this card into a mailing envelope.  That's yet another reason why I love Baker's Twine so much - you can still mail cards that use Baker's Twine.  Another reason to LOVE Baker's Twine.
I made a quick and easy matching tag for this card so that the recipient could use it as a bookmark.  I stamped the same floral images as on the card using the same PTI Petite Pots Stamp Set.  As I did with the card, I wrapped the tag with some beautiful Baker's Twine.  This includes some of the Solid Plum Baker's Twine as well as some Solid Black Baker's Twine.  Thanks again for visiting, and don't forget to stop by the RRR Blog often for lots of great inspiration, news about sales and special promotions, and for all things RIBBON minded.  Have a creative week.

Saint Patrick's Day Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here to spread a little spring inspiration. I think we have shoveled for the last time of the year and I'm in the mood for warmer weather and spring holidays.

I created this card with fun and festive patterned papers, and a sweet retro inspired image.

Spacers and solid borders between the layers helps to keep this card from looking too busy.

Ready made and made by me are combined with glittery shamrocks, loopy twine bows and holiday netting. I finished the flower off with  perfectly coordinating stamens.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Valentines Decorated Mailbox

Hello everyone, and Happy Wednesday to you all! Today I'm sharing a super fun Decorated mailbox I designed for my Granddaughter for Valentines Day. These are so much fun to do. I made 3 and will post the others this week as well.
Mailbox came from Walmart. I bought tons of them. I then decorated the box using design paper, and border punch trim, Really Reasonable Ribbons, and some die cuts, chipboard pieces for the names, embellishments 3-D. I used Scor-Tape to adhere the design paper & Border, then used the foam tabs for the heart die cut on the front and the side. I used hot glue to glue the ribbon around the front door part. Super fun!

On the side I used The Makers Movement heart shaker, the little princess is from Kadoodlebug designs cut on my cricut

Lavender Bouquet Pop-Up Card

Stamperia Provence Lovely Lavender Bouquet Pop Up Card by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  If you've had a chance to play with the February Ribbon Club Assortment, then you know that they are a breath of springtime!  What fun to break out my spring papers, flowers and embellishments to show off these beautiful ribbons!

Layered ribbon borders add so much wonderful texture, color and pattern to a handmade card.  I used the Light Orchid Diamond Satin Ribbon and the Purple and Green Plaid Print Satin to make a sweet border at the base of this card.  Bonnie carries Scor-Tape in several widths in her shop.  That's the easiest way I've found to add a ribbon border.  Cut the ribbon a little longer than the width of your card.  Then wrap it around to the back side of the panel for a nice, neat edge.

Lime Juice Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon is the perfect shade of green for springtime cards.  And it ties the most beautiful bows!

TIP:  Dress up a hinge clip with a snippet of Grape Swiss Dots Satin Ribbon.  Simply tie a square knot, and your clip is ready to party!

It's always exciting to open up a pop up card.  This one  has a pretty scene made with fussy cuts from the paper collection.

The pocket on the bottom holds an accordion fold folio tied with more of that pretty Key Lime Delicate Stitched Satin.  I think I might need a whole spool of this lovely ribbon!

This month's Ribbon Club is extra gorgeous, and has inspired me to dig out my spring papers.  It's such a treat to create with such delicate colors and images in the middle of winter.

Thanks for stopping by!

kathy

I cut out some layers to stamp the stampinUp! and then cut out the gnome on my cricut. I added the sweet Be Mine, and then Heart Cabochon  to the front of my book. I left room for writing inside. super fun little treat book. Ive had so much fun making different treat holders to share with you all. Hope you enjoy my posts!

Favorite Memories Together

Welcome!  Thanks so much for visiting us today.  It's Karen sharing today, and I'm excited to share this sweet card that beautifully showcases several of the lovely products available at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I always enjoy making pretty cards that are adorned with sweet ribbons, twines, jutes, flowers and pretty things found at RRR.  I do know you will find lots of great products at RRR that you will absolutely LOVE.  I started with a white cardstock that I layered with some different patterned papers to create my card base.  I cut the larger doily from a foiled patterned paper using a doily die.  I also die-cut some stamp shaped pieces from patterned papers and placed them all about my card.
I do love all the layers in there.  Next, I added some ephemera and other decorative pieces.  Feel free to ask if you have any questions about anything I used on this card.  I ran a length of pretty Baby Pink Seam Binding across my card and tucked in several Double Head Stamens, and added some pretty Black Open Roses as well as several sweet Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms.  There's also some bundled Ivory Burlap String tucked underneath that sweet bow.  There are so many fabulous products at Really Reasonable Ribbon to help me make my cards extra special.
Thanks for stopping by, and please visit again soon.  There's always lots of great inspiration, and RRR is the best place to get ALL your ribbons/trims, adhesives, flowers, and SO much more.  We're always happy to help inspire you and to point you in the right direction (RRR) for all your crafting needs.  Have a wonderfully creative week.

Slimline Easter Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with a sweet Easter card I created to take my mind off the nearly foot of snow that fell over the last 2 days. I'm hoping this will bring a little spring inspiration.

I love the slimline profile for scene cards. More room for extra details.  It's not always the easiest to photograph though lol.

I've filled these 3 little windows with sweet bunnies and bluebirds. The images are stamped and colored.

There's a pretty loopy bow tied from Peach Seam Binding, coordinating flowers, and Ivory Burlap String to finish off this holiday card.

Love Notes Candy Mail Box

Hello everyone and happy Thursday to you all! Today I'm sharing this sweet little mail box I made for Really Reasonable Ribbon using their beautiful satin ribbon. This box was super fun to make, and I'm hoping to have time to make more of this one.
For my Mail Box I used die cuts, and then figured out how big I wanted my base to be. I then scored and cut my paper and did up a templet for that so I have it on hand for future boxes. These would also be cute at Easter time too. It can hold lots of candy kisses. In the photo I have 11 kisses but you could add more if needed.

Next I added some magnets to keep it closed, then a cute 3-D embellishment, and Really Reasonable Ribbons Pink Satin, and Pink Bakers Twine. I also used Scor-Tape in 2 different sizes, and foam square as well. the little Heart embellishment is a 12mm Fish Scale Heart. Lastly I added my bow and little tag. You could also add some love notes to the inside as well. I will add those after.
