Hello Beautiful Friend Card by Cherry Nelson

Hello RRR peeps!  I hope all is well with you all!  It is Cherry here today to share a project on the Really Reasonable blog.

I was in the mood for something soft and whimsical.  The upcoming month's ribbon club assortment was just the ticket to pair with my shabby feel going on.  I wanted to combine it with some of my handmade flowers.

I used a bunch of stamen assortments from the store.  I also used jute twine along with crochet lace.  Scroll down for the store links.

I decided I wanted to add part of my sentiment inside and make it special.  I think now it is as important as ever to send snail mail.  Especially to those that are isolated.

I hope you have enjoyed my card!  Stay healthy and creative!

XOXO, Cherry

Cheery Cherries: Tea Party in a Box Slimline Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Would you like to join me for a cheery cherry tea party? Nothing makes me happier than a spot of tea with a friend!

That's especially true when polka dot tea cups and black micro gingham ribbon are on the menu!  This 3/16" ribbon is the perfect size to fit under the cherry buttons on this card.  It also ties the prettiest multi-loop bows!

The inside of the card hosts a box style pocket filled with everything you need for a tea party for one.

Tea, Chocolate, Cookies, enough sugar so you can have 1 lump or 2...and the sweetest little demitasse spoon turn this card into a gift.

Winter months can be dark and dreary, so I love to pull out cheery papers like these and make something beautiful.  It always seems to chase the winter blues away for me.  I hope it works for  you, too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Be Mine Candy Jar

Hello everyone, Cheryl here today with a super fun Candy Jar made for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous ribbons, flowers and embellishments that Bonnie carries in her shop.

The Jar was bought at Michaels years back and I added a few candy corns to show that how cute it is holding candy. Next I added the darling heart grosgrain ribbon around the bottom and then added some ribbon bows in Pink Bold Satin with Grosgrain Edge, and then the Heart Grosgrain Ribbon, all hot glued on. I also added the Chrysanthemum, Bead Berry Spray, Sweetheart Blossoms, and Rose Buds to make a cluster of flowers. I did the lid a little differently.  It has the flowers, and then the heart embellishment that RRR has in their shop. Lastly I added the darling tag, and stamped Be Mine on it.

Thank you so much for looking and have a lovely week!

HELLO To You

Welcome by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, everyone.  It's Karen here today, and  I'm delighted to have you visit us as I share a sweet project I created yesterday for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I started with a basic brown paper lunch bag (three of them, actually) and I machine stitched them together.  The inside pages are covered in patterned papers, lots of great photo mats, journalling spots, pockets for photos and keepsakes, and just lots of fun things.  Really Reasonable Ribbon always has everything I need to make beautiful projects.  You will LOVE all that you find here.
The patterned paper you see is from a sweet Echo Park line called Flower Garden.  I used strips of Scor-Tape to attach all my patterned papers, the border strip, and the ribbon.  The border is a pale peachy pink cardstock that I cut using a PTI border die-cut.  I ran a length of Olive Green Wrinkle Ribbon down the left-hand side of my card to create that border.  Wrinkle Ribbon comes in over 20 colors, and is just a bit more narrow (in width) and a bit stiffer than Seam Binding; which comes in over 20 colors.  You'll see both in my bow.
The pretty floral cluster is ALL from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It includes several Milk WhitePink and Matcha Green Double Head Stamens.  They are such a GORGEOUS touch, and are a very reasonably priced accent at right around $2 for 400 pieces.  SO pretty!  The bow also includes more of the Olive Green Wrinkle Ribbon, a length of Cream Seam Binding, and some Coral Rose Mini-Check Gingham Ribbon.  It's all topped with a GORGEOUS Pink Cottage Rose.  You will find over 20 different variety/style of Mulberry Flowers at RRR, and each style has dozens of colors, sizes, and varieties.  It's AMAZING!!
There's also a small sentiment/journalling sticker, a scale sticker from the Echo Park line, an SSS circle die-cut in cream, some floral prills in green, pinks and yellows, a HELLO die-cut, and some Ivory Burlap String swirled around the prills.  There are SO many beautiful products at Really Reasonable Ribbon, as well as AdhesivesMulberry Flowers, and SO much more.  It's a great time to do some shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon and treat yourself.  Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings,
Karen

Make a Wish Slimline Birthday Card

Make a Wish Slimline Birthday Card by Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Have you been making lots of Valentines with your January Ribbon Club Assortment?  Well, these ribbons also work beautifully with the retro aqua and red color palette of this Make a Wish Slimline Birthday card!

Make a Wish Slimline Birthday Card by Kathy Clement

I love the way the Random Hearts Red Grosgrain ribbon looks when it is layered over Poppy Red Satin Ribbon.  It really makes the black and white focal image pop, too.

Tie little random heart grosgrain bows in the corners of this card to help anchor the design.

Then tie the aqua and red color palette together with a bit of Aqua Baker's Twine

The inside of the card has more designer papers and sentiment panel where you can write your own birthday greeting.

I hope you're having as much fun with this month's ribbon club as I am!

Thanks for stopping by!

Old Fashioned Valentine by Cherry Nelson

Hello crafty friends and ribbon lovers!  Cherry here today to share a good old fashioned Valentine!  One with a nod to days gone by.  Those are my favorite type to create.  The Victorians really knew how to glam it up!  This card uses a lot of layers and dimension to create interest.  A mix of old and new.  The gold ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon make this card extra pretty!

I love to mix up my pinks during this holiday.....adding in gold really makes those pinks pop.

This holiday like no other really hits home the handmade vibe....nothing is more special than a made by hand Valentine for those we hold dear.  Especially in this day and age.  I hope I have encouraged you to get your scissors out and do some fussy cutting like the Victorians!

XOXO, Cherry

Happy Valentine's Day card

Hello everyone and Happy Friday to you all! Today I have a super fun and sweet card I made for Really Reasonable Ribbon using their beautiful ribbons and flowers. I love making Valentine's cards.  They are so much fun to create and this is my first one for 2021.

This card measures 6 x 6 and has 3 layers plus the heart layer. I added Happy Valentine's Day using The Project Bin stamps. Next I chose this sweet Kitty Bee from CottageCutz and added a little heart on her dress. I wanted to glitter her wings but completely forgot until photos were taken...heheehe.  I thought she would look darling with the valentine design paper with the bee on it. I then added the Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon in white, then the mini hearts on poppy grosgrain ribbon, layered with the Cottage Rose 25mm then the Rose Buds.

Supplies Used:
Cottage Cutz dies
The Project Bin Stamps
Pebbles Yours Truly design paper
white gel pen
Copics to color
club scrap black ink

I hope you enjoyed my card for today! thank you for stopping by!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl
