Life is Beautiful

Carta Bella Homemade-Really Reasonable Ribbon-Cards-Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Today I'm sharing a flirty floral card that's adorned with Coral Rose Mini Check Ribbon.  This is my favorite ribbon at the moment, and I find myself reaching for it so often that I purchased an entire spool.  It seems to be the perfect shade of pink for so many of the papers that I work with.  Plus, it ties the prettiest bows!  The small check pattern is a little more subtle than a larger plaid, and I find I'm liking that, too!

Here's a look at the entire 5" x 7"top fold card. I love the way the mini check ribbon mimics the coral gingham background, don't you?  I also made a sweet little banner with Ivory Burlap String.  That's another favorite of mine.

The inside of the card has a sweet little envelope filled with treats.  I tucked this inside the pocket, and now my card is a gift.

The 4" x 3" envelope is made with on my envelope punch board.  I've even  made a teeny tiny gift card to tuck in with the tag, teabag and honeystick.  The tag is stamped on botanical paper that you can plant!  It actually has wildflower seed embedded into the paper.  How fun is that?  Top the tag with 3/8" Coral Rose Mini Check Ribbon and more Ivory burlap string.

What ribbon are you loving at the moment?  There are so many to choose from, but sometimes I get what I call a "ribbon crush" on a particular ribbon and I use it all the time.  Does that ever happen to you?

Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Fun Fold Treat Box/Tag Card

Hello crafty friends and Happy Friday to you all! Todays fun fold gift box/tag card was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using their gorgeous ribbons, ric rac and then heart embellishment. Love making this sweet little fun fold gift box/tag card, they are super addicting as you get 2 out of 1 12 x 12 card stock.

So for the front of my box I used some Ric Rac along the pocket that holds the tag, or gift card, then used the Delicate Stitched Ribbon and created a bow for the pocket. The Satin Swiss Dots in yellow I used for the tag. I did punch out the scalloped circle and the circle, and then added some eggs that I cut with a die. The carrots I found at Walmart and thought they were so stinking cute and had to buy them for the grandkids. I was thinking I would use them somehow in some treat bag/box, and then thought of this. they work perfect! Now I wish I would have bought more bags, as I didn't see them there this past week. My little Bunny Bear is an svg file that I pieced together and did up the eyes and all. Now I want to make somemore of these, so I'm off again to craft.

Happy Mother's Day

Ribbons, anyone?  Yes please!  I'm always up for a good ribbon rich card and when I shop at Really Reasonable Ribbon, I'm always sure to find the perfect laces, ribbons, trims, twines and more.  There's a perfect color, width and style of ribbon for every project at RRR and it's SO much FUN making cards and projects using the wonderful goodies and products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
So, like many of the cards I make, this one started with basic black cardstock.  I used a Lattice Embossing Folder on this card to give it some great texture and design.  Next, I laid several different ribbons across my card and secured them on the back with Scor-Tape.  The ribbons I used on this card include May Arts Stitched Burlap Ribbon, two different widths of Black & White Bold GinghamBright Pink GinghamPlaid Light Pink GinghamPink Two-Toned Wrinkle RibbonBlack & White Plaid Houndstooth, and Canvas Pink Twill Ribbon.
The pretty bow I added uses the pretty Pink Two-Toned Wrinkle Ribbon, and I topped that with a Mulberry Leaf, some Double Head Stamens, and some pretty Mulberry Flowers including a Black Open Rose.  My sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on that I rubbed onto a canvas tag that I tied with lengths of knotted Black Licorice Baker's Twine.  Rub-ons are often forgotten so this card incorporates a few of them.  You can place/rub a rub-on right onto ribbon as I did (above) on the canvas ribbons.
As you can see, this card was pretty much made by laying various ribbons across my card.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries so many great ribbons and trims to help you create interesting cards and projects.  Be sure to stop by the RRR Blog for loads of great inspiration, Bonnie Garby Designs for lots of great digital products, and Really Reasonable Ribbon for ALL your ribbon and crafting needs.  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today.  I always appreciate it.

Blessings,
Karen

Vintage Easter Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here to share a vintage inspired greeting card I created with flowers and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon and a printable from my shop.

I just love the pastel palate of this card. It makes me feel like spring is right around the corner. I'm using beautiful Peach Taffeta Ribbon and a Magnolia to coordinate perfectly. Add a few Rosebuds and loopy twine bows and I've got a generously sized arrangement to anchor the bottom of the card.

The card itself is created with the Dollar Download Easter Greeting Card Printable.

Clean and Simple and FLAT for Mailing Birthday Card

Hello friends.  This card is different from my usual style, but sometimes I need a pretty birthday card that I can mail in a regular envelope.  This one fits the bill and it's embellished with my favorite ribbon and burlap string from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I created a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" top fold card with minimal layers. My digital sentiment from our sister company Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point.  I ran a piece of Delicate Stitched Satin down the left side of the card and wrapped some contrasting burlap sting across the middle under the sentiment.  This is a great way to use up all those ribbon and trim 'bits and bobs'.

I finished of the inside of my card with the Birthday Greetings 2 'For the Inside' Digital Stamp Bundle.

Our sister company 'Bonnie Garby Designs' is offering a large variety of digital sentiment stamps and svg files.  Below are the two sets I used on my card today.  This Birthday Greetings 2 set also works well for foiling.

Here Comes the Sun!

Carta Bella, Homemade, Easel Cards, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  I know it doesn't seem like it at this very moment, but spring will soon be here!  The sun rises and sets a little earlier each day now, making the winter days feel a little less long and dreary.  We've had loads of rain here in North Carolina, so I have been  making "homemade sunshine" in my studio with pretty papers, flowers and Really Reasonable Ribbon.  That's a sure way to brighten up a gloomy day!

Here Comes the Sun Easel Card for Really Reasonable Ribbon by Kathy Clement

Creating this bright, cheery card was lots of fun.  And adding lots of RRR trims and ribbons really made it come to life!  Here's how I used ribbon on this card:

  • First, I created a belly band by layering Chipmunk Delicate Stitched Satin with 3/8" Brown Plaid Ribbon.  The brown hues help to tone down the vibrant yellow patterns in the paper collection.
  • Use Scor-Tape between the ribbon layers, and wrap the ends around the back side of the card panel for a neat, clean finish.
  • Next, tie a poufy plaid bow with that brown plaid ribbon and tuck it into a cluster of roses and gardenias.
  • Now tie a loopy burlap bow and tuck it into the ribbon cluster to add extra texture.
  • Then create a cute banner with stickers from the paper collection.  Use your Bow-it-All Tool to tie itty bitty 1/2" burlap ribbons and add to the corners.
  • Finally, Cocoa Ric-Rac adds an interesting country style border to the base of the card.  I don't know why I don't use ric-rac more often!

I managed to squeeze a little ribbon inside this ease card, too!  It makes the perfect topper on this cute little tag charm that tucks inside the pocket.

Have you been spending a lot of time in your craft room this winter?  What have you been making?  I'd love to hear about  your crafty adventures in the comment section.

Valentines Treat Door Hanger

Hello crafty friends and Happy Monday to you all! This past week I've been super busy trying to do lots of different Valentine's treat holders, as I love making different things. So today's project was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous ribbons and some adhesvies.

So to begin with I used a red card stock on the hanging part, and then covered the front of the box part with some old design paper I had a scrap piece of using scor tape for the front.. Next I added a border punch border to the top, and then some Satin Swiss Dots Ribbon in Red. I then used some die cuts, and some SVG heart cuts for decorating the door hanger, and the darling bunny is Jar of Hearts from Kadoodle Bug Designs. My big pretty bow at the top is Satin Pink Delicate Stitched ribbon, its one of my Favorites. I filled the inside with some suckers and a few different candies. I've been having so much fun creating treat holders for Valentines day.

Really Reasonable Ribbon:

I hope you enjoyed my Valentines post for today and have a lovely day!
hugs to all,
Cheryl

Lemon Greeting Cards

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here dropping in to share some greeting cards I created with beautiful flowers and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I'm using Gold Taffeta Ribbon and Chrysanthemums to embellish this slimline greeting card.  Since this is a taller card I'm able to fit in 2 arrangements of those beautifully coordinating flowers.

For this card I'm including an altered Lotus flower with the stamens swapped out for ones the matches the card better.

Celebrate LOVE

There are so many exciting things happening this year at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  There's a brand new "Sister Company" called Bonnie Garby Designs and she has created the most amazing digital images and sentiments to help you create gorgeous cards.  Of course, all the same wonderful trims, twines, laces and ribbons are available at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You won't want to miss out on all the exciting new things that are happening there.  Be sure to stop by the RRR Blog for loads of fabulous inspiration.
This card started with basic black cardstock.  Next, I used a piece of plain white cardstock to print this lovely sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs from the Valentine Love Sentiments Bundle.  Isn't it sweet?  This entire bundle has so many great sentiments - like ALL of the sets from Bonnie Garby Designs.  I used Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Oxide Ink and Tim Holtz Raspberry Oxide Ink that I rubbed right over the sentiment to create the pink background.  I used a heart stencil to rub Kitsch Oxide Ink onto the top half of the card (also rubbed directly over the sentiment).  As you can see, the lovely sentiment still looks amazing.
I ran a width of Black Seam Binding across my card and also used it to tie a pretty bow.  I tied another bow with Solid Light Pink Baker's Twine and Solid Deep Pink Baker's Twine.  I tucked in several Double Head Floral Stamens, a 30mm Green Mulberry Leaf, two Miniature Ivory Sweetheart Blossoms, and a Moss Green Mulberry Flower.  As always, Really Reasonable Ribbon carries the most perfect trims and treatments to make our cards look amazing.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to join us on the 13th for our monthly Blog Hop and stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for loads of great inspiration.  You'll also want to be sure to check out Bonnie Garby Designs to see the lovely designs Bonnie has come up with to help you make some lovely cards.  I hope you have a blessed and creative week, my friends.
