Happy Birthday to You Card

Hello friends.  I don't know about you, but I feel like I can never get ahead with birthday cards!  Now is the perfect time to make some to put aside for your future needs and don't forget to stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon for all your ribbon and mulberry flower needs!

I created a 5-1/2" square top fold card created with my usual layered look. My digital sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point with a layered strip of ribbon running under it.  I topped it off with a pretty double loop bow and I added a few pretty Mulberry Rose flowers along the bottom of the sentiment panel.

I finished of the inside of my card with one of the sentiments from the Birthday Greetings 2 'for the inside' Digital Stamp set.  This set makes it a breeze to finish of the inside of your cards!

Our sister company 'Bonnie Garby Designs' is offering a large variety of digital sentiment stamps and svg files.
You can find all of the sets at Bonnie Garby Designs, or the bonniegarbydesigns Etsy shop.

My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color double loop bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using two colors of Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The center of the bow is finished off with a pretty acrylic daisy flower bead.

Cold Hands, Warm Heart Winter Tea Party in a Box

Simple Stories, Winter Woods, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Tea Party in a Box, Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  A winter tea party is a great way to warm up, so I built one into this sweet Victorian style card.  And what could possibly be more Victorian than a poufy Pink Taffeta Ribbon Bow?

Really Reasonable Ribbon, Simple Stories, Winter Woods, Kathy Clement, Tea Party in a Box
Bakers Twine is always a great addition to a bow cluster.  It comes in loads of color options, but this pink and brown twist is the perfect pairing for this card.

I've used ribbon inside my Tea Party in a Box, too.  It makes a pretty closure for the waterfall feature on the top half of the card.  Attach the ribbon to the back of the waterfall with a little bit of Scor-Tape, then wrap it around to the front and tie a bow.  Easy peasy!

Gift wrap your tea party goodies with leftover bits of paper.  Then dress them up with White Satin and Pink Taffeta Ribbon.  You'll be sure to warm someone's heart with a sweet gift like this.

Stay warm and cozy!

xoxo'x Valentine treat bag

Hello crafty friends and happy Tuesday to you all! Today's Valentines confectionery treat bag was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous ribbons and embellishments.

To start I used a die to cut out my confectionery bag, and then used some design paper to run across the center. Next I punched out a heart border and glued it down using scor-tape, and then added some of the beautiful Satin Swiss dot ribbon over the border. Next I added some heart shaped filigree die pieces, and my darling Valentine Fox from Kadoodle Bug Designs. To finish off the front I added the pretty pink ribbon bow with a flower embellishment in the center, a heart embellishment to the top left corner, and then a wood heart with the xoxo heart. These are super fun to create and perfect little gifts to give.

What's Up Chickie?

Hello, friends.  It's your friend Karen posting here today.  Welcome by today and thanks for stopping by to take a peek at this sweet card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  No matter what I'm making, I can always count on Really Reasonable Ribbon to have the perfect ribbons, trims, laces and twines to match.  This card was a lot of fun to make; and I knew, as always, that RRR had the right textures and colors to match what I was using.
I started with basic blue cardstocks, and I used the top (lighter) one along with a brand new background die-cut to make that fun diagonal pattern.  Next, I stamped and cut the sheep and the chicks using some cute stamp/die sets from Paper Sweeties.  The sentiments are also from Paper Sweeties, and they're stamped onto a Fishtail Banner Die from Stamp Simply.

piece of the 1.5" Grey Netting across my card to give some fabulous color and texture.  The next trims I added include a length of White Sharon Crochet Lace and a length of Striped Gray Grosgrain Ribbon.  I tied a bow with the White Sharon Crochet Lace and topped that bow with a piece of Cotton Candy Baker's Twine and some Pink/Brown Twist Baker's Twine.  I tucked in several beautiful Double Head Stamens in various colors.  The final touch was a beautiful Baby Blue Mulberry Flower.  Like I said, you can always find the perfect accents at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  If you're ever looking for a really fabulous Adhesive, I use lots of Scor-Tape which a great double-sided tape that comes in a variety of widths and holds things securely in place.
There are some really exciting new things happening over at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I hope that you'll stop by the RRR Blog to check out all the things we have planned for 20023.  A new "Sister Company" and as always, LOTS of fabulous ribbons and trims among so many other things.  And be sure to join us on the 13th of every month for our FUN Blog Hops.  We look forward to seeing you again soon at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Blessings,
Karen

XOXO Card

Hello, everyone! It is Gloria bringing some Valentine cheer!

There is always something so sweet about making Valentine's Day cards. Maybe it is all that pink, red, white, and black together. Maybe it is nostalgia for my school day's Valentine parties. Maybe is is visions of chocolate clouding my brain! Whatever it is, I enjoy making Valentines!

I created a standard A2 card from black cardstock and then jazzed it up with some paper (Simple Stories Kissing Booth). I adore those X's and O's.

I made a fluffy bow from the 5/8" Pink Delicate Stitched Satin, topped with a Pink Cottage Rose. I don't care how many mulberry paper flowers I have, I always "need" more! I love that Bonnie carries them in the shop!

I die cut the word "Love" from black cardstock and attached it (ever so carefully) to the top of the bow. I also die cut a heart shape from the printed paper. I was going to stitch around the outside edge with embroidery floss, but...I had other things to be doing so I drew on some stitches with a white pen. I did it incorrectly, but pretend it looks fine!

A few stickers and some enamel dots finish off the card. I also lined the inside with white cardstock, ready for a sentiment stamp.

Thank you so much for joining me today!

Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

Really Reasonable Ribbon, Simple Stories, Winter Woods, Home Decor, Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Do you want to build a snowman?  Indoors? With ribbon and paper and all the mixed media goodies?  Snowmen are a guaranteed smile in the middle of winter, so I always like to keep one around the house to cheer me up when it's too chilly to go outside.

Kathy Clement, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Simple Stories, Winter Woods

I dressed this 6 1/2" x 13" wall hanging up with lots of pretty ribbon.  Nile Blue Crosshatch Satin is a perfect color match for the Winter Woods paper collection that I'm working with.  Stitch it across the top of the wall hanging to add a pop of color to the neutral color palette.  Then, layer it over 5/8" White Satin Ribbon with a Grosgrain Edge as a belly band. Use Scor-Tape to hold both ribbon layers firmly in place.

Really Reasonable Ribbon, Kathy Clement,

A White Satin ribbon bow adds the perfect frosty finish to my flower cluster.  It's amazing how much texture and design ribbon adds to a mixed media piece like this one.

I hope you are all staying warm, cozy and healthy this winter!

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you Salon Greeting card

Hello crafty friends and Happy Monday to you all! Today's card was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous 3/8" Plaid Ribbon Black Bold Check. Just love this ribbon with my card I made.

For my card I chose to use the Salon Design paper pack called Salon from Echo Park. I figued it would be cute to use several of the patterns from this collection, super cute paper. I instantly thought of this beautiful bold black plaid I had, and thought it would look perfect with my card. Next I chose to add some flowers, and then I added my sentiment, and the scissors to the frame. On the corners I chose to use the dew drops, and lastly I added sewing to each layer. This card has lots of layers, oooo and I also did the inside as well. When adding the inside layer I did use scor-tape and also for the top main layer as well. I find that using the scor-tape I dont have any issues with them coming loose.

Happy New Year too!

Love, Hope and Joy

Christmas has come and gone, and a new year has begun.  It's hard to believe how quickly it comes and how quickly it all passes us by again.  We hurry, we stress, we get all our gifts and wrap them, bake our cookies, trim the tree, and....oh my!  It's always so hectic.  And then we find ourselves right here in the start of a New Year.  All of us at Really Reasonable Ribbon hope that your Christmas was happy and blessed.  Now, let's all try to focus on Love, Hope and Joy - in our own lives and in how we treat others.
Any time you want to make a CUTE card, you'll always find the perfect trims, AdhesivesMulberry FlowersEmbellishments and more at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  These awesome products will always match any patterned papers or designs you've already got on hand.  This card was created with some patterned papers from Crate Paper, and I knew RRR had the perfect trims, as always.  I ran a length of 1/2" Red Wrinkle Ribbon down the middle of my card and tied a bow with that and some Bay Leaf Seam Binding.  I topped that with some rusty jingle bells tied tightly with a length of Natural Burlap String.
Everything is held securely in place using strips of Scor-Tape; which is a FANTASTIC Adhesive that holds everything right where it belongs.   At the bottom of my card, I added a Maya Road canvas tag that's topped with a sticker and a holly/ivy stamped and die-cut image from Paper Sweeties.  The sentiment is from SSS.  It's tied with a length of (another favorite of mine) Solid Ivory Baker's Twine.  Honestly, I can't get enough of all the fabulous trims and goodies from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I know you'll LOVE them, too.  Thanks for stopping by, and happy crafting.

Blessings,
Karen
