Put on Your Easter Bonnet

Kathy Clement, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Easel Card, Shaker Card, Easter

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Do you remember Easter Bonnets?  I do!  Especially those mean little elastic strings that snapped under your chin to hold the Easter bonnet in place.  Well, today's card features a mighty cute Easter bonnet and a Light Blue Chevron Twill bow that doesn't cause any pain at all!
Shaker Cards, Easter, Light Blue Chevron Twill Ribbon, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Kathy Clement

Sometimes, wide ribbon can be difficult to work with.  But this 3/4 Chevron Stripe Twill is soft and supple, and it ties a beautiful bow! Really Reasonable Ribbon has it in loads of colors. And if you're not a fan of wide ribbon, it comes in 1/4" width, too. I've paired it up with my favorite Iridescent Metallic String on the cover of this 6x6 shaker easel card.

Here's a peek at the inside of this cute card.  I created a pocket that doubles as a stopper for the easel mechanism.  Then I used my envelope punch board to make a cute Easter egg envelope to hold all the goodies I tucked inside.

Do you have a great Easter Bonnet story?  We'd love to hear about it in the comment section below.

Thanks for stopping by!

Bundle of Joy Page 4

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to you all. Today's page was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous Pink satin ribbons and flowers on my page. I also used the Darling baby girl panda SVG from KaDoodle Bug Designs. I am having a lot of fun designing these pages for my Baby Girl Mini album.

I've been slowly working on this round mini album with a pull out page for the photos. This one here has some fun as I left room for another slide out behind the baby layer. The panda in her crib is on acetate and is a pocket. Love this page and all the flowers and ribbon. Ribbon is Satin and the flowers I used are all Open roses, Rose buds, Sweetheart Blossoms. I also used lots of score tape and foam tabs on this page.

All dies are old dies from Cheery Lynn Designs and CottageCutz , round album is an oldie and not sure where its from.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a lovely day!

Happy Easter Greeting Card

Hello friends.  I'm sharing another Easter card today that you can easily mail in a regular envelope while still adding a little touch of ribbon.  This one fits the bill and it's embellished with some pretty ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I created a 4-3/4" x 6-1/2" top fold card with minimal layers. My digital sentiment from our sister company Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point.  I ran a piece of Shocking Pink Diamond Satin topped with our NEW Metallic Baker's Twine in Lime across the center of the card.  This is a great way to use up all those ribbon and trim 'bits and bobs'.

I finished of the inside of my card with the Easter Bunny Sentiments 'For the Inside' Digital Stamp Bundle.

Our sister company 'Bonnie Garby Designs' is offering a large variety of digital sentiment stamps and svg files.  Below are the three sets I used on my card today.

If you don't have a color printer, this card looks just as good with the sentiment in black printing.

Hoppy Easter to You

Hello to all our ribbon loving friends and crafty peeps, and thanks so much for stopping by the RRR Blog today as I share a sweet little Easter card that I created using a few Really Reasonable Ribbon products.  As I've mentioned many times, one of my all-time favorite trims is Baker's Twine.  There are well over 20 fabulous colors of Baker's Twine at Really Reasonable Ribbon and it costs just ten cents ($0.10) per yard and adds SO much great texture and style.
I used purple cardstock and then a white cardstock that I pressure embossed using an Antique Linen Embossing Folder from Altenew.  I added yellow, purple and pink oxide inks to the white cardstock before embossing it.  I used the same colors of oxide ink on more of the white cardstock and then cut my bunnies using a cute Frantic Stamper die-cut.
I tied Solid Lemonwood Baker's Twine around one of the bunny's necks, Solid Pink Baker's Twine around another, and Solid Purple Baker's Twine around the other.  I placed a small white cotton ball tail on each of the bunnies.  I used Scor-Tape Adhesive to attach everything securely.  The sentiment was stamped using a stamp set from Paper Sweeties.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions about my project.  You're always sure to find lots of great products and deals at Really Reasonable Ribbon and loads of FAB inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  Thanks again for stopping by to say hello.  We always enjoy and appreciate your visits.  Have a blessed and creative week.

Hoppy Easter,
Karen

Some Bunny Loves You Easter Greeting Card

Hello friends.  I'm sharing an Easter card today that is another card you can easily mail in a regular envelope while still adding a little touch of ribbon.  This one fits the bill and it's embellished with some pretty ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I created a 4-3/4" x 6-1/2" top fold card with minimal layers. My digital sentiment from our sister company Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point.  I ran a piece of Regal Purple Diamond Satin topped with Satin Pastel Confetti Dots across the center of the card under the sentiment and added a little ribbon tab coming out the bottom of the sentiment.

Celebrate Spring

Hello, everyone! It is Gloria back after a little break! I am hoping to celebrate spring on this first day of spring! It has been strangely rainy and cold where I live. I love the rain, as it is so infrequent here, but honestly, we have had more than our fair share! We are close to our yearly rainfall and it is only March 20th!

In celebration of spring, I chose some soft colors of ribbon and some matching flowers! I used off white cardstock to make a 4.5" x 6" card - which is an odd size, but I like it a bit better than the normal A2 size, and it fits into a 5" x 7" envelope with some padding. Win-win!
The paper is from Graphic 45 Cottage Life Collection, which is a new to me collection. I purchased a pack of 12x12 paper in September after taking a class which used the 8x8 version. It is very pretty!
I used some lovely ribbons and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The pink ribbon is 5/8" Light Coral Delicate Stitched Satin. The lavender dots ribbon is 3/8" Lavender Swiss Dots Grosgrain, which is half off right now!
The flowers match the ribbon perfectly. I used 15mm Lavender Open Roses with some Mixed Purple Rosebuds, plus Pink Miniature Gardenias
The doily is a die cut using the same off white cardstock as the card base. I also cut out the word "celebrate" from the same cardstock using G45 sentiment dies.

Thank you so much for joining me today!

Bunnies and Blossoms and Bees Slimline Tea Party in a Box

Really Reasonable Ribbon, Photoplay, Bunnies and Blooms, Easter, Springtime, Tea Party in a Box, Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  The promise of springtime makes me want to throw a party!  After a long, dark winter, it's wonderful to welcome the appearance of sweet bunnies, pretty blossoms and buzzing bees!  I decided to work that theme up into a lovely slimline Tea Party in a Box card, and topped everything off with ribbons, trims and pretty peach posies from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Slimline Tea Party in a Box for Really Reasonable Ribbon by Kathy Clement

I wrapped the front panel of this 8 1/2" x 4 1/4" slimline card with gorgeous Ivory Organza with a Satin Center Ribbon.  Between the ribbon, the metallic string bows and the beautiful Cosmos Daisies and Cherry blossoms, this card fairly shouts spring is coming!

TIP: Create your card front separate from the card base.  This allows you to attach the ribbon with Scor-Tape and wrap the cut ends around to the back, creating a neat, finished edge.

Springtime Tea Party in a Box, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Kathy Clement

I love to make cards that double as gifts.  It's even more fun to make when you have an 8 1/2" x 4 1/4" surface to work with!  More room for all the things!  Here's how to create the base with the box pocket:
  •  First, Score an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of heavy cream cardstock on the long side at 4 1/4", 4 3/4", 9" and 9 1/2".
  • Fold on the scored lines to form an 8 1/2" x 4 1/4" card base with 1/2" spines at the top and the bottom.
  • Cut (2) 1 1/2" x 2 3/8" strips of cream cardstock and score at 1/2" and 1".  Fold  and adhere the 1/2" flaps to form sides for the 8 1/2" x 2 1/2" pocket.

Wrap up some treats with scraps of your designer paper and tuck into the box pocket to make a tea party for one.  When the treats have been consumed, you can use the box pocket to store photos.  Because the card stands up on its own, you can set it out as part of your spring home décor.  How fun is that?

Organza ribbon is a lovely choice for springtime crafting.  Lucky for us, Really Reasonable Ribbon has a great supply of this lovely trim.

You can find a linked supply list below this post.

Thanks for stopping by,

Kathy

Sweet Happiness Always Giraffe Card & Video

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday to you all! Today's card was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon and The Robins Nest Creative. I haven't made one of these in years, so I wanted to make another one, and on this one I used the darling Cutie KaToodles Giraffe from KaDoodle Bug Designs. Super cute! I also used tons of Really Reasonable Ribbons Flowers on this beauty!

On the Z Tri - Fold card I do have a video showing how I put this together, but leaving out the pockets. I did use some old design paper that was left over from back in probably 2009. I believe this one was K & company. I've been going through some of my old design papers and bringing them out and ready to use on some cards and projects.

I did all my layers and then added my frame, Giraffe, and then all the gorgeous flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon, along with some ribbons. I added some dew drops to the corners, and then some to the greenery floral arrangement. All details on doing this card can be seen in my video HERE

Easter Blessings

Happy Easter, everyone.  This year seems to be flying right by us, doesn't it?  It's hard to believe that Easter is just around the corner.  Well, if you're like me, sending out Easter cards is always something I love to do.  Really Reasonable Ribbon can help you create some lovely cards for Easter and all year long.
I used cream cardstock for my base and a JilliBean Soup orange plaid patterned paper.  Then, I cut another piece from cream cardstock using the Crimped Frames Die from The Greetery.  The carrots and shiplap planks are also dies from The Greetery.  I added some bundled Natural Burlap String to the tops of the carrots.  I just LOVE the texture that the Burlap String adds to cards, and this lovely trim comes in over 20 gorgeous colors and costs just ten cents ($0.10) per yard.
I used lots of Scor-Tape to adhere the layers of paper, the carrots and the shiplap wood planks.  I used lots of wonderful oxide inks on everything as well.  At the bottom of my card, I added some lovely Orange Baker's Twine and Solid Ivory Baker's Twine.  Baker's Twine is another wonderful trim that comes in over 20 gorgeous colors and also costs just ten cents ($0.10) per yard.
There's always lots of great inspiration for you on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and lots of great sales and bargains in the RRR Shop.  Also, you won't want to miss the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop that starts on the 13th of each month.  We sure hope that you'll join us for that, and we look forward to your visits whenever you can stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Have a blessed and creative week, friends.

Blessings,
Karen
