Christmas Skater Shaker Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Do you ever create Christmas cards in a non-traditional color palette? I really like to do this, because the cards can be left out on display throughout the winter months. It's like getting more bang for your crafting buck.

A Bluebird Gingham Bow topped with Silver Metallic String adds to the sparkle and shine of this framed shaker card. 

 Everyone knows you need a hot cuppa and a snack to help you warm up after a skating party, so I've tucked a tea bag, honey stick and chocolate treat into the pocket.  Now the card doubles as a gift, which is mighty nice.

Let It Snow

It's no secret that I absolutely LOVE using ribbons, trims and twines of different kinds on my cards and projects.  There's just something special about the texture and depth that ribbons, trims and flowers add to our cards.  With that said, I am a HUGE fan of all things from Really Reasonable Ribbon. This darling card uses lots of patterned paper and ephemera from Crate Paper (my favorite).  I cut the birdhouse and bird using dies from Simon Says Stamp.  At the top of the birdhouse, I added a sweet bow that's tied with Red Seam Binding.  Don't you just love these soft sweet colors and wonderful textures?

Down on the bottom left, I added some bundled Ivory Burlap String underneath all those leafy branches. I also added a few pretty Red Open Roses to the branches.   At the bottom of the birdhouse, I added a piece of Ivory Crochet Lace.  I used lots of Scor-Tape to secure everything in place.  I added some pretty White Flatback Pearl Accents to the chipboard banner.

Winter Wishes Christmas Greeting Card

 Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here dropping in to share a sweet and festive Christmas greeting card created in a not so traditional color palate.

For this card I'm using my favorite ribbon to fill in this floral arrangement and to anchor the corner. I've also incorporated some flowers from RRR but not before altering them a bit by separating the layers and topping them off with coordinating stamens.

May The Joy of the Season Be Yours

Christmas is fast approaching.  Are you ready?  Are the stockings hung, the presents wrapped, and the errands completed?  Well, if you still have cards left to make, ornaments to repair, etc., then Really Reasonable Ribbon can help.  Some of those old ornaments needing new twine and ribbons can quickly be updated with some pretty new trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

This card uses basic black cardstock layered with a pretty patterned paper.  I added a pretty Christmas sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments 3 Digital Stamp Bundle at Bonnie Garby Designs and I stamped on that with a PTI stamp set.  Next, I ran a length of Olive Wrinkle Ribbon, Cream Seam Binding, Black & White Bold Gingham Ribbon and Solid Red Baker's Twine across the card.

I added some chipboard elements from my stash (trees and snowflake) and then at the top left, I added some bundled Ivory Burlap String underneath the holly and berries I cut from wool felt.  I used lots of Scor-Tape to secure everything in place, and I also added a Silver Glitter Rhinestone just left of the sentiment.

Ornaments decorated with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday to you all! So todays project is ornaments that I decorated and designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the beautiful Delicate Stitched Satin. I thought this ribbon would be perfect for my ornaments I ended up decorating. I love the pink color too.

So for the top one I did hearts and designed it to be the Breast Cancer Ribbon for awareness, this was done up in design space using just a heart shape, then I created it to be the ribbon for my ornament. I thought it turned out darling , and will place this on my tree this year. I will be doing a PINK tree and hoping to use some breast cancer awareness ornaments. I also will cut the ribbon out in a lighter pink to see how it looks. 

for the next one I chose to use a gem sticker on it, and then some Really Reasonable Ribbon again. I also used the hearts on my bows. Love how they both turned out, and will be doing more of them.

A Cup of Christmas Cheer

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  You are cordially invited to join me for a cup of Christmas Cheer!  Nothing says Christmas is coming like a festive card dressed up with Christmas Baker's Twine Bows!  It adds just the right touch of Christmas whimsy to this festive greeting card.  Best of all, it keeps the card from becoming too bulky, so it is still easy to mail. 

I've added it to the top of my little gift tag along with a Red Sweetheart Blossom.  Then I tucked it under my cluster of holiday foliage to add extra fulness and texture.  And it does a great job of dressing up the candy canes in the die cut mugs.

It's always fun to add a little surprise message behind a flap. 

And a Christmas Baker's Twine bow finishes off this cute tag perfectly.

A Pocketful of Christmas Fun

One of my favorite little gift-giving projects has always been a good old paper bag pocket.  I have a wide assortment of paper bags for this very reason, and I always greatly enjoy decorating them.  With Really Reasonable Ribbon, I know I'll always find the perfect twines, trims and goodies to help me adorn them with style.  How sweet is this?

I used a basic brown paper bag, and I folded it halfway up, covered the bottom portion with a piece of vintage sheet music that I stamped on with a new Papertrey Ink stamp set.  I machine stitched that to my bag base.  Next, I ran a length of Scor-Tape along the inside lip of the brown paper bag, and I attached a piece of Ivory Crochet Lace at the top.  You can use any type of Crochet Lace to achieve this look.

At the bottom, I attached a piece of Black & White Bold Gingham Ribbon, some wool felt holly and berries that I cut using a Papertrey Ink die.  I also attached a nice long length of Ivory Burlap String and some Cherry Baker's Twine on the rusty jingle bells.  I tucked a gift card in the pocket along with two tags that I adorned with Red & White Bold Gingham, Moss Green & Cream Gingham Ribbon, and several Double Head Stamens.

Making a fun paper bag pocket is a great way to give someone something special without spending a whole lot of money.  You can tuck in some photos, a note, a gift card, candies, etc. because there's an automatic built-it pocket for this purpose.  Go ahead....grab a paper bag, some trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and give this a try.
