Summer Elegance Shaker Card

Really Reasonable Ribbon Pink Ivory Mauve Variegated Ribbon Shaker Card by Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It's hard to believe, but here in North Carolina, Summertime is peeking around the corner.  Creamy white blossoms on the magnolia trees fill the air with their sweet fragrance.  Their appearance inspired this Summer Elegance Shaker Card.  Soft shades of pink ribbons seemed to be the perfect partner for this 5" x 7" top fold card.

Heartfelt Creations Sweet Magnolia Shaker Card with Really Reasonable Ribbon by Kathy Clement

As you all probably know, I love to use ribbon to create a border on a card.  Medium Pink Gingham Ribbon complemented the floral images in the paper collection perfectly.  Dress up the border with a ribbon slide from the RRR Embellishment Category

I dressed up my handmade magnolia blossoms with a poufy Light Pink, Ivory and Mauve Sheer Variegated Ribbon bow.  Tying a triple loop bow is not as hard as you might think.  Just break out your Zutter-Bow-it-All Tool and you'll have a perfectly poufy bow in no time flat!   Top with with an Iridescent Metallic String Bow for the perfect finishing touch.

Here's a peek inside the card...which is actually more like a gift, thanks to all the goodies tucked inside.

I hope I've shared some tips and tricks that you can use in your next ribbon adventure.

Thanks for stopping by!

Beary Sweet Card by Cheryl Walker

Hello Ribbon Lovers, and Happy Wednesday to you all! Today I have a super sweet card made with Really Reasonable Ribbon Satin Ribbons, Flowers, Leaves, and Embellishments.

On my 6" x 6" card, I chose to use some darling design paper that is from Pepples. Next I layered up my main stamped image using die cuts, and colored this darling bear with Copics. I love all the flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon and chose a few of my favorites today. Next I added some of the darling daisy acrylic flowers. I also added some sewing, and did the inside of my card. I love doing the insides of them.

Happy Birthday a Little Late.....

Hey there ribbon lovers!  Today I'm sharing a bright and colorful handmade birthday card featuring some of the ribbons from both the April and May Ribbon Club Assortments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The sentiment on this card is the story of my life.  Somehow my cards are ALWAYS late.  It's not that I don't know when birthdays are, it's more that I never know what date or day of the week it is and then BOOM - it's the day before the birthday and the card is still sitting on my desk!!

Not a Ribbon Club member yet?  Why not grab the April/May Ribbon Club Special Deal?!
Just $17 for both if you are located in the USA.

I created a 6-1/2" x 4-3/4" top fold card created with my usual layered look.  This time I used just the blue ribbons from the May Ribbon Club Assortment and I pulled the 3/8" daffodil diamond satin from the April Assortment to pull in a little yellow.  My digital sentiment is my main focal point, topped with a pretty 'bi-texture' bow and I added a few pretty Sweetheart Flowers along the bottom of the oval sentiment panel.

For a video tutorial on how I use mulberry paper, please click HERE.

My card is topped off with a pretty bi-textured bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using two of the blue satin ribbons from the May Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Wonderful Versatile Affordable - Baker's Twine

Thanks for stopping by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today, everyone.  It's Karen posting today, I'm SO glad you're here as I share this sweet card and bookmark that I created using lots of fabulous products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.   I just ADORE all the wonderful things I find when I take the time to browse all the pages of AMAZING goodies that are waiting for me at Really Reasonable Ribbon
I love using Baker's Twine.....lots of it, and on various projects in different ways.  Good thing that Really Reasonable Ribbon carries dozens of gorgeous colors of Baker's Twines including striped traditional Baker's Twine as well as my favorites; the Solid Baker's Twines.  I think I now own every color, and I am in love with it ALL.  This card uses some of the pretty new Solid Baker's Twine.  How pretty.  This card is fairly simple, but it showcases some of the GORGEOUS Baker's Twine from RRR.
This card has some cardstocks for the base, and I used strips of Scor-Tape to adhere all the layers together.  I added some pretty Crate Paper (Journey) patterned paper as well also using Scor-Tape.  I added some Crate Paper (Journey) chipboard pieces and stickers, and I ran some Solid Lemonwood Baker's Twine through the sticker tags.  Did you know that Baker's Twine at RRR costs just TEN CENTS PER YARD?
Because it's FUN and SO easy to do....I also created a quick bookmark to go inside this card.  I like adding a matching bookmark when I send someone a card.  That way (if they use it), they'll think of me, and the card I sent, when they use it.  I used the same patterned paper (Crate Paper/Journey) on the bookmark and added a fun Boarding Pass sticker and chipboard arrow.
I kept the bookmark flat so that it will slip inside the card and mail easily in the envelope.  I added some pretty Solid Black Baker's Twine and some Solid Deep Pink Baker's Twine to the top of the bookmark.  I just LOVE the solid colors of Baker's Twine carried at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  And at this LOW price, I can afford to buy every color.  For real.
At Really Reasonable Ribbon, you'll also find lots of lovely Miniature Double Head Stamens and other Mulberry Flowers and Leaves.  There's a wide variety of colors of the Double Head Stamens and even more varieties of Mulberry Flowers to help you adorn your cherished projects.  You'll be AMAZED at all this store carries - including all the awesome Baker's TwineAdhesivesEmbellishments, and SO much more.  Thanks again for visiting us, and please know that the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog has lots of great inspiration all the time.  It's also a great way to stay up-to-date on all the special sales and promotions taking place in the RRR Shop.  We hope to see you again very soon.

Blessings,
Karen

Happy Birthday Card by Cheryl

Hello Ribbon Lovers, and Happy Thursday to you all! Todays card was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the Beautiful Taffeta Ribbon in white, along with Seam Binding.
On my card for today, I chose this gorgeous design paper from my stash, and just had to use the Gorgeous Taffeta Ribbon from RRR. I then Ruched the Bay Leaf Seam Binding and hot glued it to the ribbon. The flowers were made using Cheery Lynn designs old flower dies, and then using my Glass flower Technique that can be found in my Tutorials Here! I do have several videos on this technique, hope you enjoy! I also added the 8mm pearl to the center of each. Each of my layers have sewing that I did on my sewing machine, and lastly I added white dots to each layer. The inside is also done and ready for writing.

Pockets and Pinwheels with Patriotic Ribbon

Really Reasonable Ribbon Patriotic Plaid Carta Bella God Bless America Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Believe it or not, Summer is right around the corner!  Here in the US, that means it is time to break out our patriotic ribbons and get ready for Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day holidays.  So I've whipped up a fun little "inside out" pocket on the front card. Then I dressed it up with a bunch of patriotic ribbons from the RRR shop. I don't know about you, but I love working with good old red, white and blue!

The star of the show is my favorite Patriotic Plaid Ribbon.  I've used it to make bows, fishtail banners and as a border on the box pocket.

Patirotic Plaid Ribbon Really Reasonable Ribbon Carta Bella God Bless America Kathy Clement

If you haven't checked out the Patriotic Ribbon in the shop lately, let me entice you with a few of them here.  I wrapped the pinwheel straw with beautiful Flag Grosgrain Ribbon.  This handsome ribbon also works beautifully as a border on a card or album cover.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Patriotic Ribbon Tag

Dress up the top of a little tag with ribbon streamers made from Patriotic Plaid, 3/8" Checkerboard Poppy Satin, and Tiny Stars Grograin ribbons.  (The blue is out of stock, but you could use the red, then use Blue Diamond Satin Ribbon in place of the Poppy Red.)

Grosgrain Ribbon makes a really cute border on the bottom of the tag, too.  I cut a fishtail end on one side to balance out the rosette on the right.

Carta Bella God Bless America by Kathy Clement

Here's a peek inside the card.  I added a little flap and pocket feature.

There is room beneath the flap to add a photo with a little journaling on the left.  And you could tuck a little ice cream gift card inside the folded journal card just for fun!

I hope I've shared some tips and tricks that you can use when you get ready to create your red, white and blue projects.  Don't forget to check out the May Ribbon Club Nautical Americana ribbons, too!  They are perfect for summer holiday and vacation projects.

Thanks for stopping by!
