Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #5

To see the winners from Challenge #4, please scroll down to the next post.

Before we get started we have a few things to share with you. Today we say good-bye to our super talented July Guest Designer Mindy who has shared lots of amazing cards with you this month. She will continue on with us as a Ribbon Club Design Team member. Look for her in our monthly blog hops. Thank you so much Mindy!

Our August Guest Designer is Amber. Amber has a wide range of craft interests and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us. You can see one of her fabulous cards with the challenge samples below. Be sure to check out her blog and the blogs of all the other design team members for great inspiration. If you are not followers on all their blogs you are really missing out!

We are also pleased to welcome Jacque to the RRR dt lineup. She will be posting a couple of times each month, joining our blog hops, and helping us out with challenge samples. She is sharing her first RRR project below.

**********************************************************

Challenge #5 is a Black and White color theme.

All entries must use ribbon, lace or trim of some kind and the main colors should be black and white.

If you want to add a splash of color, go for it, but the main colors must be black and white.

If you would like to play along with us in our current challenge, you just have to create a project (a card, layout, ATC, home dec item, hairbow, anything goes!) and upload it to your blog or a public forum. Make sure to leave a link to the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog on your blog entry. Then come back and add your link for your project at the bottom of this post.

Here are some samples from our super-talented design team to get you going.

Amber starts us off with a beautiful card using white double ruffles.

Jacque made a beautifully embellished bride and groom card. The gorgeous bow is made of black silk.

Cassie made an awesome headband with dinosaur grosgrain. Cassie has posted a tutorial for this headband on her blog. Be sure to stop by and take a look.

Cheryl is next with this sweet monkey card. She's used 1.5" white crochet lace and 1/4" black with white stitches ribbon to accent her card.

Iwona made a wonderful card using 1.5" crochet lace and black jute string. Isn't it just beautiful??

Kym has a super cute skunk card using lots of different ribbon styles. She's used zebra ribbon, black swiss dots, 1/4" black with white stitches, and black double ruffle ribbon. Aren't those ribbon flowers great?

Mindy has a beautiful card for us with such wonderful embellishements. She selected black swiss dots for the bow that adds a nice finishing touch to her card.

To finish things off, Trudy has created a fun cow card using 3/8" black gingham and black jute string. Be sure to visit True's blog to see a picture of the inside of this great card.

Now let's see your black and white creations! All entries must follow the black and white color theme and include ribbon, trim, or lace of some kind. Add your link below to be eligible to win a $10 gift certificate to Really Reasonable Ribbon. Make sure to leave a link to the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog on your blog entry. If you are entering your project into an online gallery, please use the code RRR5 so we can find it easily.

You have until August 14th at 5:00 PM C.S.T to enter your projects.

Thanks for playing along and good luck.
