Stars and Stripes Forever

Hello, Friends!  Can you believe it's almost Memorial Day?  Man, this year is moving fast!  To help get you holiday ready, here's a really fun Stars and Stripes Forever card Folio made ribbons from the May Ribbon Club Assortment.

I love the way the Electric Blue Diamond Satin Ribbon pops against the red flowers and white frame, don't you?  To add even more glitz and glam to this patriotic card, I've topped my double loop bow with a Gold Metallic String Bow.

Gold Bead/Berry Clusters aren't just for Christmas anymore!  I love the texture and shine they add to my flower cluster.  They make me think of sparklers!

I've used 3/8" Patriotic Plaid Ribbon to decorate the mason jar on this little magnet that I stitched up for the inside of my card, too.

If you are traveling over Memorial Day, I send you my best wishes for safety and fun.  To all of you who have served, or waited at home while a love one served, I salute you and thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cupcake Decorated with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone and Happy Monday to you all! Today I have a super fun project.  It's a Magnetic Cupcake Pin Cushion/Scissor holder, and also holds my crafting dies as I don't want to lose them on my work area. Super fun and decorated with ribbons and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
So for the yellow around the edge I used the Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon, and just pulled two end strings to ruche it up. Next I used the same ribbon to create the flower for the top, and then used the White Satin Double Ruffled Ribbon with the Lemon Delicate Stitched Satin under it. I then used the elastic ruffled ribbon in pink for the top flower. Love the look of this and loved using the Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon to ruche up and use as a ruffled border around my cupcake.

This cupcake was done on my Dream (sewing) Machine in the hoop, and I decorated it using all beautiful supplies from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Really Reasonable Ribbon:
Satin White Double Ruffled Ribbon
Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon Lemon
Elastic Double Ruffled Ribbon
Embellishment flowers

Other supplies
Dream Machine
In the hoop embroidery
Hot glue
sewing pins and needle
Stuffing
and fabrics.

It's nice to have the cupcakes by my side, and it helps to hold things that are magnetic to it, so I don't lose them. In the craft room it's nice to hold little dies, as we all know how we can misplace those. Anyway, this was so much fun to make and decorate. Hope you enjoyed my post for today.
Thank you so much for stopping by and Hope you have a lovely week!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

You Are My Sunshine Greeting Card

Hello there friends! Ginny here to share a card I created with one of my very favorite trims from RRR. Plaid  has been my go to ribbon for so long and one of the reasons is that it ties into the most perfect bows!

This pink plaid matches my card perfectly!
Speaking of pink isn't it striking when paired with black?
I've got oodles of pretty WOC flowers here also from RRR. This arrangement has die cut foliage and loopy twine bows.

Spacers between the layers is necessary when combining this many patterns. I've gone for a double border here and added spacers between for depth.
Last but not least is a pretty intricate charm secured with a vintage button.

Wishing you a happy and productive day : ) G

#COFFEE Makes Me Happy

Hello there, blog friends!  Welcome by today as I share a card that I created using a few of my favorite Really Reasonable Ribbon products.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries, of course, the best and most extensive collection of ribbons, trims, laces, twines and every spooled garnish you can possibly image... as well as many varieties of GORGEOUS Mulberry FlowersStamensMulberry LeavesAdhesivesEmbellishments, and....Oh My!
I used some pretty patterned papers from a Carta Bella line called Spring Market, and I attached them using strips of a fabulous Adhesive called Scor-Tape.  Then, I ran a width of a lovely Natural Crochet Lace across my card.  The journalling card is from October Afternoon, and it already said "Makes Me Happy"...so I just stamped the other sentiment (#COFFEE) and the images. And as always, RRR had all the PERFECT trims and extras to make it fabulous.
To adorn my card, I bundled lengths of Ivory Burlap String and Olive Burlap String, added a cut of Green Center-Stitch Burlap Ribbon, and a piece of Debra Natural Crochet Lace topped with some Pink & White Miniature Double-Head StamensGreen Sweetheart Blossoms and a Mixed Purple Sweetheart Blossom.  These soft sweet touches add SO much to my card, and are just so lovely to look at on our cards.  Why not treat yourself to a few new things today?

Oh, and don't forget about the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop in just THREE DAYS.  It starts on Monday, May 13, and you won't want to miss your chance to win the lovely Ribbon Club Assortment.  Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to see you again soon.

Checkered Ribbon

Hello, Friends!  Kathy here with a little ribbon tip for you today.  Have you seen the new 1/2" Checkered Ribbon in the RRR shop?  Ooh la la!  I'm in love!

I love everything about this gorgeous checkered ribbon:  the wide range of colors, the width, the texture and how easy it is to tie gorgeous bows.

This green/ivory pink Checkered ribbon looks fabulous perched in the corner of this Bluebirds of Happiness card.

Here's a peek inside the card.

If you haven't "checked" this ribbon out yet, I can highly recommend it, as I may or may not have bought several yards of it in each color.  It's a nice change from ordinary plaid or gingham, and the color blends are really fun.

So that's my ribbon tip for today!  Hope you have a joyful and creative day!

Cheerio,
kathy

Rolodex Decorated Pages with Photos

Hello everyone, and Happy Friday to all you all! Today I'm sharing a super fun project that I made for Really Reasonable Ribbon using beautiful ribbons, flowers, and embellishments to decorate this Rolodex.

I bought this Rolodex to add photos and information in, so these two pages have a photo and a little Journaling. They are so fun to decorate and add design paper.  I figured I would do different colors and such to each double page. On this one I used one of my favorite design papers from Heidi Swapp.  They were scrap pieces I had left over.  I added the black delicate stitched satin ribbon, and then the yellow canvas color band ribbon, and aster daisy, sweetheart blossom, and rose buds for decorations on this. I also added the bronze and green leaves to this.

The bottom page has a border die cut I used from Makers Movement and I ran the ribbon through the openings on it. Love the look. I kept the top simple, as I wanted to see the design of the flowers on the paper.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies Used:
Pink Rose buds
Aster Daisy
Sweetheart Blossoms
Green Leaves
Bronze Leaves
Black Satin Delicate Stitched Ribbon
Swiss Dots Black
Tape Runner
Yellow Canvas Color Band Ribbon
Thank you so much for stopping by, and for all your wonderful sweet comments on my projects!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

You are my Sunshine Greeting Card

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with a very spring inspired greeting card. Not that we're getting much spring weather here in mid Michigan. Seems like we skipped the warm and went right back into fall.

Pink and green? Heck yeah! This card could not be more bright and cheerful.

Stripes might be my new plaid. I seem to be drawn to a lot these days.
This is a pretty paper collection....but I decided to mix in a few of my stash papers. Not only does this help me work through some of the "backstock" but it also helps me to get a very uniquely me look. That paper in the background is actually Christmas paper lol.
These Wild Orchid Crafts flowers are beautiful and coordinate so perfectly!
Last but not least the Celery Chevron Ribbon.  I am loving this happy combination.

~Really Reasonable Ribbon~ Celery Chevron Striped Twill, Chrysanthemums, Rosebuds, Cottage Roses.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G
