Sunshine In Your Life

You're probably busy creating lots of pretty Spring/Summer cards if I were to guess.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has all the perfect ribbons, trims, adhesives and everything you might need to create all those pretty cards.  And if you need some FUN new sentiments for your cards, Bonnie Garby Designs can help you find a whole slew of lovely new images for the outsides (and inside sentiments) of all your cards.
This card started with white watercolor paper.  I layered it with some JilliBean Soup patterned papers using Scor-Tape to securely hold everything in place.  I used a sentiment from the Spring Bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs and rubbed some Lemonade and Fossilized Amber Oxide Ink over it.  Once everything was attached, I ran a length of Bright Pink Gingham Ribbon across the card and tied a pretty bow with it.  I added several lovely Double Head Stamens in various colors.
The bees were stamped and and hand-cut using a (retired) stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps.  There are SO many great ribbons, trims, twines, laces, embellishments, Adhesives and so much more at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  There's also lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to help you get some great new ideas.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  It's always a treat to hear from you and to have you visit us.  Have a great week and please stop by again soon.  In the meantime, happy crafting from all of us at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Blessings,
Karen

Busy Bee Shaker Card with Custom Dyed Seam Binding

Custom Dyed Seam Binding by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon Photo 01
Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Question: What do you do when you don't have just the right shade of Really Reasonable Ribbon to finish off your project?  I always turn to seam binding ribbon, and custom dye it to match my project.  It's such an easy process, and really looks good on a girly grunge or mixed media card like this honeybee shaker card.

Here's how I custom dye my ribbon:
  • First, cut about 1 yard of white seam binding ribbon.
  • Next, select 3 complementary shades of Distress Ink. For this card, I chose Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Fossilized Amber.
  • Swipe the Distress Ink Pads on a non-stick craft sheet, then mist with water until small color droplets form.
  • Dip the seam binding ribbon through the inky puddles.  Don't swipe, or the colors will get muddy.
  • Dry the ribbon with a heat gun between applications, and repeat until you are happy with the final result.
  • If your ribbon is wrinkled, you can iron with a warm iron.  But I like the crinkles!

Top your custom dyed bow with a shimmering Iridescent Metallic String Bow to add the perfect but of sparkle.  Iridescent Metallic String picks up the colors in your project, so it goes with everything. Finish off your card with clusters of Pastel Sweetheart Blossoms for the win!

I hope I've shared some ideas you can use today!

Thanks for stopping by,

Kathy

Mothers Day Popper/cracker Tutorial

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday to you all! Today I have this fun favor I made for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous flowers, ribbon and embellishments. Also made these for my table setting for Mother’s Day.

I do have a video tutorial on this Popper/cracker favor and it can be seen here

Items used are Really Reasonable Ribbon Delicate stitched satin Peony for the ties on both ends . The lace is Gabrielle , it’s beautiful! I used 2 tone pink with dusty pink centers for the 3 (10mm, 15mm,20mm) , sweetheart blossoms . The design paper I chose is the K & Company

I made these to put on my table setting for mothers day this year, and thought these would be so pretty on the place setting for each of the moms. I think I;m going to add some truffles to the inside of them. They are super fun to make and if you havent tried to make them yet, you can watch my VIDEO here on them.

Thank you so much for looking and have a lovely day!
hugs to all,
Cheryl

Way to Go, Grad!

Hello, everyone! It is Gloria with you today. It is almost time to celebrate all those high school and college graduates in your circle! My circle of potential graduates contains only young men at the moment, so I created a masculine style card.

It is always a challenge for me to add ribbon to a masculine style card and not make it too frou-frou. I think I did fine this time! The card base is 5" x 6" made from black cardstock, lined on the inside with white cardstock.

I attached two pieces of printed paper together and then placed a length of 5/8" Gray Plaid Ribbon over the seam where the two prints meet. I then cut a few small lengths of Oyster Baker's Twine to create a "spider-y" knot around the left edge of the ribbon.
I found some greeting cards with Saturday Evening Post/Norman Rockwell art on them in my stash. They were plain and an odd size, and not printed on particularly nice cardstock. So, I did what anyone would do, I cut them apart so I could use the images!

I matted the image onto black cardstock, then stamped the hashtag sentiments along the bottom. I wrapped more of the Gray Plaid ribbon around the top of the image, then I added a button tied with a bit of the Oyster twine.

I stamped a greeting onto a scrap of white cardstock and tucked it under the left edge of the image.

I stamped another greeting on the inside of the card, and then disguised that I stamped it off-center by adding a strip of the printed paper. (Oops!)

Thank you so much for joining me today! And congratulations to all the graduates for 2023!

Sending Birthday Hugs Card

Hello friends.  Today I'm sharing a birthday card that you can easily mail in a regular envelope while still adding a little touch of ribbon.  This one fits the bill and it's embellished with some pretty ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I created a 4-3/4" x 6-1/2" top fold card with minimal layers. My digital sentiment from our sister company Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point.  I ran a piece of Charcoal Diamond Satin topped with our NEW Metallic Baker's Twine in yellow across the center of the card.  This is a great way to use up all those ribbon and trim 'bits and bobs'.

I finished of the inside of my card with the Birthday Greetings 2 'For the Inside' Digital Stamp Bundle.

Our sister company 'Bonnie Garby Designs' is offering a large variety of digital sentiment stamps and svg files.  Below are the two sets I used on my card today.

Feminine Flowers and Butterflies Mixed Media Card

Really Reasonable Ribbon Feminine Floral Card Chevron Striped Ribbon by Kathy Clement Kathy by Design Photo 01

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Mother's Day is just around the corner, so I thought I would share a feminine card featuring flowers that will never fade or wilt.  My mom's favorite color was pink,, and I love the way this Pink Chevron Striped Ribbon bow adds to the feminine vibe of this mixed media card.

Topping the bow with a Brown Sugar Baker's Twine Bow and button adds to the girly grunge feel of this card.  It's always a good idea to add extra texture to a mixed media card!

Mom loves treats on her special day, so I added a box style pocket inside the card, then filled it up with all kinds of goodies.

Mom can enjoy the tea, honey, cookies and chocolate now.  Later on she can enjoy the vintage demitasse spoon and packet of wildflower seeds.

You'll find Chevron Striped Ribbon in lots of shades and widths at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Even though this is a wider ribbon, it ties the most beautiful bows because it is so soft and supple.  If you're not familiar with the Baker's Twine Assortment at RRR, I highly recommend it!  It's a rare day when I don't add either burlap string, metallic string or Baker's Twine to a project.  It's always just the perfect finishing touch.

Wishing you a day filled with joy and creativity!

Easter Hexagon Treat Box & Video tutorial

Hello crafty friends and Happy Friday to you all! Today's Milk Carton Hexagon Box is a Mini one, and was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous satin ribbon's, and embellishments. I made this box in a bigger size, and just wanted to make some small ones for Easter Favors.

I do have a video on how to make the bigger one of these, it can be found here. Love making these and I've made tons of them for gifting. On this one here I kept it simple and just added a printed image, and then punched it out using stampinUp! punches, next I added some fences and grass that I cut out using dies. The ribbon I chose is the gorgeous ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon in Pink Satin 3/8" and 5/8" ribbon. I then added a flower embellishment to the tag. if you havent made one of these yet, you definitely want to, as they are so much fun.

Easter Wishes

Hello everyone and thanks so much for visiting today.  It's Karen here sharing two pretty cards that I created using a few of my (many) favorite products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  There are always so many perfect ribbons, trims, twines and delights at RRR to help me make my cards extra special, and I know that YOU will find something to jazz up your next card or project when you shop at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
This first card started with basic cardstock that I covered with scraps of patterned papers using Scor-Tape to adhere it all.  The sentiment was printed on white cardstock using a digital stamp from Bonnie Garby Designs.  It from the Easter Religious Digital Bundle which is one of many awesome designs you'll find at Bonnie Garby Designs.  I rubbed oxide ink over the sentiment and splattered a hot mess of acrylic paint on it to add a bit of color.
At the bottom of this card, I tied a length of Solid Teal Baker's Twine and topped it with some Double Head Stamens and a Pink Sweetheart Blossom.  There are SO many lovely colors of Baker's Twine at Really Reasonable Ribbon that will let your cards POP with color.  This is a very simple card, but the Baker's Twine and Mulberry Flower really give it some pizzaz.
My second card also uses a sentiment from the Easter Religious Digital Bundle by Bonnie Garby Designs.  I rubbed the image with Lavendar and Concord Oxide Inks and then cut it with die-cut frame.  Because the frame wasn't long enough for the card, I was able to cut it and fill in the empty space with ribbon.  To do this, I used a piece of White Satin Middle Ruffle along with a length of Elderberry Seam Binding.  They're also attached securely with Scor-Tape.
I added some Double Head Stamens and a pretty Lilac Magnolia Flower to finish this simple card.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has so many great ribbons, laces, trims and twines to help you adorn your cards and make something special.  Don't forget to stop by the RRR Blog often for loads of inspiration and information about special sales and promotions.  AND....our monthly Blog Hop on the 13th of every month.

Happy crafting,
Karen

Thank You Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with a card I created with beautiful trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon. This time I'm going for a neutral palate and I think it looks so elegant!

I've recently been loving this 3/8 inch ribbons....especially the ones with a metallic edge. That little bit of sparkle really goes a long way in adding extra detail to an otherwise simple card.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G
