Vintage Style Mini Slimline Card

Hello, again everyone! It is Gloria with you today. I think that I would classify this card as one last summer fling! It is going to be over 100 degrees for the next week (or longer), so I figured let's pull out the hot, summer colors again!

What could be more summery than hot pink and green?! I created a mini slimline card today. The card measures 3 1/4" x 6 1/4" and the card base is black cardstock. I am not sure what the "standard" measurements are for this style of card, but it does fit into an envelope made for photo-cards.
I used some vintage style paper from Heartfelt Creations (Moments in Time) and let the design of the paper do most of the work! I lined the inside of the card wtih off-white cardstock.

I don't often make the top of a card the focal point, but the printed paper was so pretty, I did not want to cover it up, so I added my flower and ribbon cluster to the top!

I created a bow from 3/8" Moss Green Gingham ribbon. I cannot resist gingham and plaid ribbon, no matter what the season! I used a few leaves that I stamped, then die cut. I added Miniature Gardenias - Mixed Purple. The little sentiment and other decoration are cut from the paper collection.

A few tiny pearls finish off the card. Such a sweet mini size!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Pumpkin Season Greetings

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  My favorite season of the year is right around the corner!  That's right!  It's almost Pumpkin Season!  I could not wait to celebrate, so I broke into my August Ribbon Club to make this cheery greeting card.

Layered ribbon makes pretty double borders on this cheery card.  First, put down a layer of Russet Orange Taffeta Ribbon.  I like to adhere my ribbon with Scor-tape.  If you leave the ends long, you can wrap the ribbon around the back side of the card panel, which makes a lovely, neat edge.  Then adhere a layer of  Gold Edged Cappuccino Satin Ribbon to bring just the right amount of sparkle.  I've also used this for my bows, along with some natural burlap string, which is perfect for fall cards.

You can turn a card into a gift by adding a pocket to the inside.  Then use scraps of your paper collection to create a little gift card wallet.

If you add a pocket to the gift card wallet, you can also tuck in a little  Pumpkin Spice Chai! It's always lovely to have something warm to sip on a chilly autumn day.

Wishing you all joy and creativity!
Kathy

Thankful & Grateful

Welcome back to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and thanks for stopping by.  It's your crafty friend, Karen, here today sharing a simple seasonal card to welcome in Autumn.  This card shows off some colorful leaves - the thing I miss most about Fall in Minnesota.  I also incorporated a pretty Autumn trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon to adorn it.
I started this card with a piece of basic black cardstock which I layered with some Carta Bella patterned papers including a leaf print and a woodgrain pattern.  They were all attached using Scor-Tape for a long-lasting secure hold.  The sentiment square is also from the same Carta Bella paper pad.  The acorns and leaf were stamped and die-cut using products from Stamp Simply.  The prettiest part of this simple little card is the piece of 3/8" Brown & Cream Gingham Ribbon I ran across my card (underneath the sentiment) and tied into a bow.  I thought about adding some Mulberry Flowers, but I really wanted to keep this very simple.
I just LOVE the dimension and texture that ribbon gives to a card.  At Really Reasonable Ribbon, you will always be sure to find the perfectly matched trims for ALL your projects.  Be sure to stop by the RRR Blog for inspiration and information about sales and promotions as well as our monthly Blog Hop which always starts on the 13th.
We always enjoy your visits and hope to see YOU soon at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You're always going to find lots of beautiful ribbons, trims, twines, and SO much more at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Go on ahead and treat yourself today.  Why not?  You deserve it.

Sweet Rainbow decorated card w/Rainbow flowers

Hello crafty friends and happy Friday to you all! Today's card was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous Delicate Satin ribbon, and beautiful Rainbow flowers, I will list all that I used below. Also I used this sweet Alicorn stamp from TLC Designs, isnt she just darling!?
You know me, I love doing the insides of my cards, and this one was done using TLC Designs Stencil to create a border on the inside.
For my card I chose to use this darling Rainbow to dreamland Recollections dp pack. I thought it would work perfectly with the alicorn and RRR Rainbow flowers and ribbon.

To start with I picked the papers I wanted, and then cut and layered them all. Next I chose my dies, and stamp. I stamped up Alicorn in black ink, and then colored her using copics. for her body I used Unicorn stickles and that's how she shimmers so pretty. I then fussy cut her out. Next I picked all my flowers, and on this one I chose the Pastel Rainbow Open roses in 20mm, 15mm, and 10mm, now that large flower is Chelsea Rose in rainbow colors. I also used the Mini Sweetheart blossoms in Rainbow for filler flowers, and lastly I used the Rose buds in Pink and blue. I will post links to all below for easy finding. for the sentiment I stamped it on a white card stock and then dusted or distressed in blue , yellow and pink ink to give a little rainbow feel. lastly I added some Daisy pearls to the corners.

I Love Fall!

Hello, again everyone! It is Gloria with you today. It is so hot where I live, over or near 100 degrees every day. I am so thankful for air conditioning and a swimming pool! But, I am so ready for cooler weather, but I know that we still get lots of days in the 90's even in October and November! I think I will go crank the A/C and drink something with pumpkin spice....

I have a fall themed card for you, using more of the beautiful August Ribbon Club ribbons! This is another 6" x 6" card, which is one of my favorite sizes to make. I don't care if they cost more to mail, I love making them!

The pumpkin paper and the sticker are from the Echo Park The Story of Fall collection (from a few years ago), and the orange gingham paper is from The Girls' Paperie Toil and Trouble collection (which is who knows how old!).

The "wood" grain is actually a piece of chipboard that I had die cut to make a mini book, but the project failed. I salvaged some parts, and this piece of scored chipboard covered with distress ink...looks just like wood! Keeper!

Now, for the ribbons! I wrapped both a length of the 5/8" Russet Orange Taffeta and a length of the  3/8" Cappuccino Satin with Gold Metallic Edge around the top part of the card. I secured the ribbon inside the card, then covered with white cardstock to hide the ribbon tails.

I created two bows, one from each ribbon style and glued them to the center of the card as shown. Super easy! Big impact!

I even put a little sneaky surprise on the inside of the card. {smile}

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Look how easy it is to add pattern, texture and subtle shine to the border of this botanical style masculine card.  Simply adhere Kiwi Diamond Satin Ribbon to 1/2 Scor-Tape.  Then layer elegant Gold Edged Cappuccino Satin along side it.

Cluster some moss, feather, Prills and acorn in a rusty bottle cap to add the perfect botanical embellishment to the card. Add some burlap string bows to amp up the masculine vibe of this outdoorsy card.

Here's a peek at the inside of the card.  Create a little gift card pocket, add a blank sentiment panel, and you are good to go!
