What's Cooking? Retro Style Recipe Folio

Retro Style Waterfall Recipe Folio by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  January seems to be a month when we all take a little time to get things organized.  So it seemed like the perfect month to make this cute retro-styled recipe folio with the Poppy Red Taffeta from the January Ribbon Club Assortment.

What's Cooking Retro Recipe Album by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon PHoto 02

Red and Aqua are a perfect retro color palette for this 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 1" folio.  You can see that I had a fun time decorating with Sheer Cherry Red Organza Ribbon and lots of fun embellishments from my stash.

The interior is designed with twin waterfall folios.  These are topped with a string tie envelope flap and more cute retro designs.

Even the recipe cards have that fun retro styling!  Sometimes I look like the gal in this photo when I'm trying to get dinner made in a hurry!

Each side of the folio has 3 pocket pages with 2 recipe cards tucked inside.  But there's room for quite a few more cards in each pocket.

The page at the back of each waterfall has a pocket and folio combination to hold even more recipes or photos.

This would make a nice spot to store heritage recipes, or be a fun gift at a bridal shower.  Each guest could add her favorite "never fail" recipe and then gift it to the bride to be.

Thanks for stopping by!

Valentines Treat Envelopes

Hello crafty friends and Happy Friday to you all! Today Im sharing these darling Valentines Treat envelopes I made for Really Reasonable Ribbon. These were super fun and easy to make. Love them! Lately Ive been slowly working on lots of fun Valentines Treat holders, and excited to share them all with you.
So for the envelopes I used a die cut i had from cottagecutz. Next I chose the ribbons I wanted to coordinate with them. I chose the Satin Pink, Plaid Pink ribbon, and the striped brown, all will list below for easy finding. I also used the darling heart embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

for my top envelope- I used die cuts heart shaped, then a tag punch, stampinup! sentiment, sticker hearts that are 3-D. I used the RRR pink satin across the envelope, and then added the bows using the Diagonal striped ribbon in brown. I put them together using scor-tape

For my bottom envelope-

I usded stampinup punches, heart 3-d, sticker that says Love You, Really Reasonable Ribbon Pink Plaid ribbon, Diagonal Stripe ribbon, and fish scale heart cabachon.

I will definitely be making more of these using different colors and die cuts. Love them!

Everything Is Going to be Okay

Hello, friends, and thanks for stopping by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog again.  Today it's Karen here sharing a really fun card I created using just a few of my favorite amazing products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I can't seem to make anything without using something from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  For instance, the amazing ScorTape Adhesive is a favorite of mine, and I use this awesome Adhesive on nearly every card and project I create.  RRR has lots of great products, from essentials to embellishments, that will help you make something lovely.
This card started with a black cardstock base, some pink patterned paper and a bit of machine stitching in black.  I added some swatches of canvas that were also machine stitched in black.  I attached some black fabric glitter wings, a sticker, a wooden heart, and a Pink Miniature Sweetheart Blossom to the top of my card.  Everything is securely attached together using cut strips of Scor-Tape.   I just LOVE all the wonderful Mulberry Flowers and goodies available at RRR.
How fun!  You can see some light glittery sequin mix sprinkled onto my card, and all around on the small glassine bag I added underneath the stitched canvas pieces.  I also tied a nice long length of Solid Black Baker's Twine around my card and tied a pretty bow with it.  I just LOVE all the Baker's Twine, and especially all the cute Solid Baker's Twine available at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  How cute is it on this card?  And at just ten cents per yard, you can't go wrong.
The small glassine bag sprinkled with glitters also holds a small tag with an uplifting sentiment.  I love to tuck in a message when there's a cute little place to hide one.  The Solid Black Baker's Twine is such a fun touch.  Be sure to check out all the fabulous Baker's TwinesBurlap Strings and other wonderful products at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and have a fantastically creative week.

Blessings,
Karen

Friendship Teacups Card

January 2022 Sweetheart Ribbon Club Assortment Teacups Card by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon Photo 01

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Valentine's Day is not just for lovers, it's for friends, too!  So I created this sweet tea-themed friendship Valentine, then dolled it up with ribbons from the January Ribbon Club Assortment.

First, I created a ribbon belly band by layering Poppy Red Diamond Satin with the Geometric Print Satin RibbonCheckerboard White Satin Ribbon pops behind some deep red flowers in the main bow cluster.

It's amazing to me to see how well this Geometric Print Satin Ribbon goes with the geometric lines in this paper collection.  It's always so neat when that happens!

I put ribbon to work inside the card, too!  It makes a great tag topper for the goodies I tucked inside the pocket.

What's your favorite ribbon from this month's assortment?  I'd love to hear about it in the comment section below.

Thanks for stopping by!

Beary Sweet Valentine Bag

Hello everyone and Happy New Year to you all! Today I have a super sweet Valentine's Gift bag designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous satin and grosgrain ribbons.
I bought these little gift/treat bags years ago at our local warehouse sale, and I love decorating them. I started with a doily, then layered with another die cut. Next I chose this darling bear that was cut on my Cricut using an SVG file that was a santa bear. I added some chipboard hearts, and the I heart U chipboard pieces, and then added my bows and ribbon layer. This was super fun to put together, as it's been awhile since I've crafted.

Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely day! Hugs to all! Cheryl

God Will Take Care of You

Thanks for stopping by today, friends.  It's always a treat to have you visit my blog, and today I'm sharing a sweet little card that I created just for Really Reasonable Ribbon using some of the wonderful trims and crafting products.  If you're not familiar with their FABULOUS products, I hope you'll stop by to see ALL the amazing ribbons and trims, Mulberry Flowers, Adhesives, Embellishments, Hair Accessories and other goodies they offer.
This card started with a black cardstock base.  I added one piece of red/black patterned paper and then a layer of basic white cardstock that I rubbed with oxide ink.  I stamped on the cardstock using a set from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps called God Will Take Care of You (bird, vines and sentiment) and then I colored the images with Copics.  I added a few green and red floral prills to the bottom of the card.
I ran a length of Olive Wrinkle Ribbon down the side of my card underneath the white cardstock.  Wrinkle Ribbon comes in 25 colors; and is quite similar to Seam Binding except it's a bit narrower and has a rougher, more wrinkled texture. It also makes gorgeous bows.  I added some pretty Mulberry Flowers, bundled Olive Burlap String and some Matcha Green and Wine Red Double Head Stamens to the upper right-hand part of the card.  There are SO many great Mulberry Flowers, trims, and Embellishments at Really Reasonable Ribbon that you're always sure to find the perfect touches for every project.

Please let me know if you have any questions about my card or the RRR products I've used.  There's always something awesome waiting for you at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Blessings,
Karen
