Eat, Drink & Be Scary

It's always fun creating cards for Halloween.  While I tend to stick more to the "cute" sort of spooky, it's still always fun pulling out my itsy bitsy spiders, potions and Halloween goodies.  With the fabulous pairing of Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie Garby Designs, I knew this card would be a lot of fun to make and share with you all.
I used black cardstock and patterned papers to create my base.  The sentiment is from the Halloween Haunting Bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs.  The candied apple is a Jolee's piece from my super stash.  I pulled off the old piece of black raffia that came with it and replaced it with a length of Solid Black Baker's Twine.
There's a piece of Black Seam Binding placed across my card and used to tie a pretty bow that also includes some Orange Burlap String, Orange Baker's Twine and Double Head Stamens.  I topped that lovely bow with a Black Open Rose.  There are lovely Mulberry Flowers in every variety and every color you can image.....much the same as all their wonderful ribbons and trims at RRR.  You won't want to miss a thing.  Thanks again for stopping by today.

Blessings,
Karen

Welcome to the Pumpkin Patch

Carta Bella, Welcome Fall, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Kathy Clement, Kathy by Design

Hello, Ribbon  Lovers!  Oh, I do love fall most of all!  How about you?  I especially love fall plaids, and I've featured a beautiful Copper and Cream Plaid Ribbon on this Pumpkin Patch card.

Carta Bella, Welcome Fall, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Copper and Cream Ribbon, Pumpkin Bakers Twine, Kathy Clement, Kathy by Design
I also found the prettiest shade of Pumpkin Baker's Twine in the shop.  It was such a good match up for the Copper and Cream plaid that I could not resist adding it to my bow cluster.

Some shades of orange are too, well....orangey...for fall projects.  But this Pumpkin Baker's Twine is just the right hue for fall cards and projects.

Have you started your fall card making yet?  Some people tell me they don't make fall cards, and that's fine.  But since it's my favorite season, I make a lot of them.  I'm so glad that RRR has such a big selection of beautiful fall ribbons and trims, aren't you?

Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty in Pink Halloween Page

Hello Crafty Friends, and Happy Friday to you all! Todays fun page was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous Ribbons and Flowers from the RRR Shop.

To start I used the Luna design paper on this page, and then used some dies that I cut out in black and some in white. I added those layers on my page, and then along the bottom of the page I added some old trim from RRR and the pink gems. Next I wanted some floral clusters.

Floral Clusters were done using some green flourishes, and then Really Reasonable Ribbon Bold Satin with Grosgrain Edge in Pearl Pink5/8" for 2 of the bows. Then the top bow was done in a Plaid Ribbon Black Bold Check 3/8". I made bows out of that too, and then hot glued them on. I did use some pink feathers too. Next I chose my flowers, and for the large flower I used a trellis rose, and then used some cherry blossom, apple blossoms, and sweetheart Blossoms. lastly I used some rose buds to finish this up.

Tag is from the paper line, I just cut it out and put it on a black card stock and cut it to look like a tag. I added some white dots using a paint pen from postca.

A+ Student!

Hello, everyone! It is Gloria with you today. Some of you have already sent your kids off to school by now. I know that most schools in my area have already started back as well. My future daughter-in-law and her younger sister, as well as my nephew have already started their college classes, too! I don't have little ones in school any more, but from time to time I do need a school-themed card for a special "youngling" in my life, so I made on to share with you today.

This is a simple card, which makes it easy if you have to make a whole stack of them. The card base is 4 1/2" x 6" which is my new go to size. Envelopes size A6 (4 3/4" x 6 1/2") are a pretty good fit. This card can also be resized to A2 very easily.

I used the adorable school papers from Authentique (Scholastic and Studious). I cannot fuss enough about how sad I am that they have stopped making paper! I am so thankful that they were so generous with the team, which allowed me to amass a nice hoard!

I used two prints and then a cut-apart card for the focal image. I used foam tape to pop the image off the card front. The Studious collection also came with stickers, so I used a few of those, too.

I did a very simple ribbon treatment for this card, which keeps it from being too fussy, and also keeps it pretty flat for mailing. I wrapped a length of the 5/8" Smoke Blue Taffeta ribbon around the card where the two printed papers join. Then I tied a small double bow with another piece of the ribbon and hot glued it in place. This ribbon photographs much brighter than it is in person. I really is a soft, smoky blue in person.
I added a few navy blue enamel dots to the bottom left edge of the card for some extra shine. This simple design can be used for any theme or card size.
As always, I lined the inside of the card with white cardstock to give a place to stamp or write a message. A gift card holder could also be added to the inside.

Thanks for joining me today!

Happy Birthday to You card

Hello friends.  Today I'm sharing a pretty birthday card that's embellished with some pretty ribbons and mulberry flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon along with some great new Digital Stamps from Bonnie Garby Designs.

I created a 6-1/2" x 4-3/4" card with loads of layers. My digital sentiment from our sister company Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point.  I ran a piece of kiwi green Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon topped with Purple/Green Confetti dot grosgrain ribbon across the center of the card.  I topped it off with a pretty bi-color bow using two colors of Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon and below the sentiment I have added some two-tone green Sweetheart Blossoms.

The sentiments I used on my card today came from the Bold Birthday Greetings Digital Stamp Bundle and the More Birthday Sentiments 'for the Inside' Digital Stamp Bundle.  The gorgeous background is the Layered Rounded Square on Point SVG set.

Our sister company 'Bonnie Garby Designs' is offering a large variety of digital sentiment stamps and svg files.  Below are the sets I used on my card today.

My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color double loop bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using two colors of Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The center of the bow is finished off with a pretty Acrylic Heart Shaped bead.

Cheers to Forever

While I do realize that Fall is creeping in on some of you, it's still over 100 degrees here in the Las Vegas valley, and it's still very much Summer.  That means days in the pool, walks in the evening, and having the A/C running 24/7.  The card I'm sharing today is an Anniversary card that I created for some friends of ours.  As always, I knew I could count on Really Reasonable Ribbon to have all the perfect trims for my card.
I used basic white cardstock that I layered with some American Crafts patterned paper and a piece of painted corrugated cardboard.  I ran a length of Medium Pink Gingham Ribbon down the side of my card.  I also used the Medium Pink Gingham Ribbon to tie a pretty bow that also includes some Solid Light Pink Baker's Twine, Natural Burlap StringDark Rose Double Head StamensMilk White Double Head Stamens and two beautiful Open Roses.
The sentiment I used is from Bonnie Garby Designs and I rubbed it with Spun Sugar Oxide Ink.  I also attached more of the Natural Burlap String to hold some of the lovely little 11mm Heart Shaped Imitation Pearl Embellishments.  The sweet sentiment (Cheers to Forever) is found in the Wedding Bundle.  I attached everything to my card using pieces of Scor-Tape which is such as AWESOME Adhesive.
Thanks so much for visiting me today, friends.  I appreciate you stopping by and I really do hope that you'll check out Really Reasonable Ribbon and treat yourself to some new trims.  My suggestions are Baker's TwineBurlap String and Gingham Ribbon; but there are literally hundreds of fabulous choices.  Have a blessed and creative week.

Happy crafting,
Karen

Fall Apple Picking Shaker Card

Really Reasonable Ribbon-Kathy Clement-Simple Stories-Country Harvest-Shaker Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Today's card is a preview of my favorite season: fall!  If you've never experienced the fun of Fall apple picking, I highly recommend it!  Nothing tastes as wonderful as a sun kissed apple plucked straight from the tree!

I've dressed this autumn beauty up with some of my favorite fall trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Plaid Ribbon and autumn just seem to go together like apple pie and cinnamon. So I created a lovely bow with 3/8" Brown and Cream plaid ribbon to set off all the wonderful shades of green in this shaker card.    Brown Sugar Baker's Twine adds the perfect accent to my flower clusters, too.

I don't know about you, but I'm definitely looking forward to some cooler, crisper days after the heat and humidity we've experienced this summer.

Thanks for stopping by!

kathy
