Banner made with Really Reasonable Ribbon

 

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends! Today I have a fun Love Banner I designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous ribbons, twine and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon, Flowers , foam tabs, scot-tape and Jute to pull it all together. 

To start I cut out all the banners using a banner punch board I bought from AC. I then layered all my pieces and added some of RRR lace behind each piece. Next I chose to add layers and rosettes to the center of each banner, so I could place the LOVE thickers. I used Really Reasonable Ribbons Gorgeous Black Swiss dot ribbon for my big bows, and then the Chelsea roses as well. Love how this turned out and I may have to make another for Easter.

Spring is (Almost) Here

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Spring will soon be here.  Time to break out all those beautiful pastel ribbons and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon!  I've created a little Spring window box shaker card and dressed it up with my very favorite Coral Rose Mini Check Ribbon.  I don't know what it is about this shade of pink, but it just seems to go with everything.  The ribbon ties into the most beautiful puffy bows, too.  Bonnie and I agree that we wish this ribbon came in every color of the rainbow! 

One of my other favorite trims from RRR is the amazing Iridescent Metallic String.  This wonderful trim picks up whatever color palette you are using, so it goes with everything.  It also adds a little touch of shimmer on top of my Coral Rose Mini Check bow, which I like very much. 

Here's a peek at the inside of this sweet springtime card.  I added a flap page and a treat pocket to dress things up a bit.  

To dress up the little tag and tea wallet, I pulled out a combination of Aqua and Light Pink Baker's Twine.  It's almost like getting an Easter Basket in the mail, isn't it?

Stitched Easter Card & Bookmark

I think Easter has to be one of my most favorite holidays for crafting.  I just love all things pastel, soft and sweet, and of course.....covered in ribbons and bows.  Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect trims and accents for every project I make.  They can help you find the perfect products and "special touches" for your next project as well.

I have always loved stitching dies, cross-stitching, and making various things than can incorporate my cross-stitching with my card-making.  This duo was a lot of fun to make.  I used corrugated cardboard for the base of both my card and the matching bookmark.  I like to use scraps of paper whenever possible.  Some are so cute that you just hate throwing them out, you know?  Here's an occasion to use them.

I used some Brushed Corduroy Ink to "stain" or "dirty" my lengths of Bay Leaf Seam Binding.  I also bundled some Natural Burlap String and placed atop the embroidery hoops as well as in the pretty bow where I tucked in a few Double Head Stamens.  There are so many soft sweet touches at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I thought it would be a cute idea to make a matching bookmark for this sweet card.  I found both of the cross-stitch images on Pinterest.  All those wonderful layers are securely attached using lots of fabulous Scor-Tape.  There are several lengths of Green Apple Seam Binding hanging from the top of the bookmark.

Rainbow of Roses Card

Hello! Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here today

to share a cute little St. Patty's Day card with you. 

I have ZERO natural talent when it comes to 

card making, so I usually leave that to the pros.

However, I have been wanting to do this 

"Rainbow of Roses" card for quite a while now! 

I started with ribbons and roses from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store

 and an svg. bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs. 

Also, if you have Cricut Design Space, you can find 

many of her images there as well.  

I actually think this one may have actually come from there. 

I cut the entire image in white cardstock and used distress inks to add the colors. I found matching ribbons and tiny rose buds to match each color that I used in my rainbow. I used the Wild Orchid 10mm Pastel Open Roses  and they were the perfect size for this project. All of the ribbons are 3/8 inch Swiss Dots grosgrain except the one chevron which I think came from an assortment pack.  Once I had all my materials gathered, I set to work making it come to life. 

 

Once it was inked, I added the outlines using a white gel pen and

then attached the ribbons and roses. I added each piece to the backing that I had cut with black cardstock, and added the faux stitching outlines to that as well. Notice that I let the ribbons cascade down past the end of the card?  I was hoping to make it look like the rainbow was continuing...like never-ending. I don't know how well that worked...but that was the thought behind it.

Either way, I liked the extra effect that it created. 

Finally, I added the entire rainbow to my gatefold card that I had prepared with a bit of distress inks and heavy white gesso to create a cloud background while also adding a bit of texture. 

As I mentioned in the beginning, I have ZERO natural talent when it comes to cards.  When I was finished with all of the design process, I realized that I didn't leave any space on the front for a sentiment! 

This is why I leave the card making to the Pros!!!

Candy Popper with Really Reasonable Ribbon

 

Hello crafty friends, today I have a fun little candy popper I designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon. Love the gorgeous Ribbons on the ends, and the darling gnome design paper, super fun and cute!

So I did use the scor-tape from Really Reasonable Ribbon to attach my papers to the popper. I made this popper using a board that designs them for us. The Ribbon is the Plaid Red Bold Checked and is one of my many favorites from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I also used some red dew drops from The Robins Nest on my box here. this little box can hold some candy or a small gift. super fun to make!

Lilac and Lavender

Hello, Friends!  Lilac and Lavender are such perfect colors for springtime crafting!  That's why I chose to make a Lilac Seam Binding Ribbon Closure for this mixed media card.  

Do you ever make ribbon closures for  your cards?  It's such a pretty way to use ribbon.  Here's how I do it:  

• Cut two lengths of ribbon about 10" long.
• Place about 2 Inches of 1/2" Scor-Tape on the front center edge and back center edge of your card base. 
• Remove the tape liner from the Scor-Tape and lay one end of your ribbon over the adhesive.
• Now top your card base with designer paper and you have a pretty ribbon closure for your card 

Here's a quick look at the inside of the card.  

 Dress a tea bag and a chocolate up inside cute little white bags, then top with more Lilac Seam Binding Ribbon. Aren't they sweet?

We Love Because He First Loved Us

What could be sweeter on a card than hearts, ribbons and flowers?  Well, Really Reasonable Ribbon has ALL the best ribbons, trims, twines, and Mulberry Flowers you need to make beautiful cards.  You'll also find things like Adhesives, Hair Bow Making Accessories, Baker's Twine (in both solids and stripes), cute Embellishments, Crochet Lace and SO much more.

This card uses a piece of red cardstock layered with a piece of white cardstock that I die-cut with a cute Heart Die which did so much to create my eye-catching background.  I cut the hearts using Limited Layers Heart Dies from PTI.  I did this to keep with the red and white theme throughout.  The only other colors I added were the goodies from Really Reasonable Ribbon that I used to accent the card.  The sentiment is found in the Love Stamp Set from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

I ran a length of Black Seam Binding across my card and tied a pretty bow with it.  I tucked in several Black, Milk White and Red Double Head Stamens to add some extra color and pizazz.  Double Head Stamens add a whole lot of life to your cards, and they come in a wide variety of beautiful colors.  Just a few little extra touches from Really Reasonable Ribbon will elevate your cards and give them those special touches they need.  I added a few simple sequins as the finishing touches.

Summery Southwest Hairbow

 

Hello everyone! Happy Monday!  Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here today sharing my newest hair bow creation.   I fell in love with the Southwest Geometric Print Satin Ribbon the moment that I saw it, so I just HAD to make a hair bow with it.   

I browsed the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop until I found just the perfect complimentary ribbons to create the perfect bow. 

I normally use strictly grosgrain ribbon for my bows, but I decided to mix it up a little bit.  This bow is an array of colors and prints, and absolutely loved the final results. Here is what my original plan was going to consist of:

Yes, I actually use that many ribbons for one bow.  I have used even more that this a few times, but 8-10 is probably the maximum ribbon/print variation I think I would ever use.  I did end up using a few in the end that I did not originally plan on using...but only a couple. My bows consist of 5 individual layers.

I make each layer individually.  Once I have that complete, I will assemble the bow.

All of those individual parts come together to make the one super cute hair bow for a lucky little girl.  It is definitely a little "busier" than my normal creations, but it actually matched my little niece's outfit perfectly!
