Making Handmade Flowers by Cherry Nelson

Hello RRR Peeps!  Cherry here today.  I thought I would switch things up a bit and share some of the flowers I have been making using water color paper, oil pastels, and some of RRR's lovely flower stamens.   I make these because I am simply obsessed with them, but I have also shared how you can package them and give as a gift.  They would be such a unique little gift for a fellow crafter.
While time consuming, I find them so fun to make and a huge stress reliever.  Scroll down for RRR Supplies used.   The possibilities are endless!

Hope you enjoy and make sure to check out all the RRR stamens in Bonnie's store.

Springtime at the Farmhouse

Carta Bella Farmhouse Market Slimline Box Card by Kathy Clement with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Let's take a break from winter with this Springtime at the Farmhouse card.  I've dressed it up with 3/8" Pink Gingham and 5/8" Pink Diamond Satin Ribbons from the February Ribbon Club Assortment.  If the springtime sweetness of this color combination doesn't melt the snow, I don't know what will!

TIP: Create a quick and easy border with ribbon!  Layer the 3/8" Pink Gingham over the 5/8" Pink Diamond Satin ribbon for lots of texture and springtime softness.

Carta Bella Farmhouse Market Slimline Card by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon

TIP: Use ribbon to draw the eye to this somewhat small focal image. Cluster ribbons and flowers around the center image so it  doesn't end up getting lost.

TIP: Add a touch of sparkle to your ribbon clusters with White Iridescent Metallic String.  I love this stuff so much, I buy it by the spool!

You can also use ribbon inside your card!  It really dresses up the little packet of honey I tucked inside this box pocket.  Now the whole card feels like a gift!

I really loved the pastel ribbon assortment from this month's Ribbon Club.  They really brightened up  the dark and dreary month of February, reminding me that Spring would soon be back in season. It's not too late to get this pretty packet of pastel ribbons!  You can sign up today at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Check out the details HERE

I hope this cheery card has warmed up this winter day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Better yet, why not grab the January/February Ribbon Club Special Deal?!
Just $17 for both if you are located in the USA.

I always love a good and inspiring sentiment for a card and this one is so true!  It's perfect for sending a quick note to a friend to let them know you are thinking of them.  The sentiment is the focal point and I've layered it with different purple colors, and beneath that is a larger background layered panel.  Both panels are backed with white mulberry paper.  I also ran a layered ribbon strip across the center of the card to cover the seam from the two different design papers.

For a video tutorial on how I use mulberry paper, please click HERE.

My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using two of the ribbons from the February Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The center of the bow is topped off with a pretty Pearl Star Shaped Bead.

" A Little Something" Easter Card

Hello everyone and Happy Monday to you all! Today I have this super cute Easter card made for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the beautiful ribbon and flowers from the shop. Hope you enjoy my post for today!
On my card I picked some cute pattern paper from my stash.  There was so much to go through and try to match up that it took me a long time...hehehehe.  I think picking my design paper took me longer than actually doing the entire card. Next I had to use these darling bunnies, and I cut out a few die cut shapes. I did color them with Copics and then added some glitter.

Flowers: I love all the flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon and for this card I chose the chrysanthemums, 20mm open roses, and then the yellow rose buds. I also used some leaves, and then the blue ribbon from this months Ribbon Club Assortment. The little tag was punched out and a StampinUp! stamp for the sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you have a lovely day!

Hugs to all, Cheryl

Enjoy Your Life......Friends

Welcome by, everyone! Today's it's me, Karen Letchworth, sharing a sweet card   I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using several of their wonderful products.  Not only can you always find the perfect ribbons and trims for every project at Really Reasonable Ribbon; but you can also find fun things like  Mulberry FlowersAdhesivesEmbellishments and SO much more.  I used all of the above while creating this fun card.
This card started with some cardstocks that I attached using strips of Scor-Tape to securely attach them.  Next, I used more of the Scor-Tape to add the patterned paper layer.  I also cut a scalloped frame using a die and another patterned paper, and that's also attached using Scor-Tape.  I did a bit of machine stitching around my card in a deep green thread.  I added several accent stickers, washi tape, hanging tags, a stamped sentiment (miss you), miniature pink staples.  On the left-hand card border, you'll see two small snippets of pink and green stitched (retired) Maya Road canvas stipe ribbons, a Cotton Blend Maya Road green striped ribbon, and a Yellow Gingham Ribbon peeking out from behind the card.
The pretty ribbon accent includes a length of Yellow Gingham RibbonLight Pink Gingham RibbonSolid Lemon Yellow Baker's TwineDouble Head StamensRed Rosebuds, bundled Green Burlap String, and a  Pearl Heart Ribbon Slider.  I have a few of the Double Head Stamens positioned a bit lower than the others so that they cascade down my card a bit.  There are always so many lovely things at Really Reasonable Ribbon to help you create something lovely.  I encourage you to take some time to stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to look around and pick up a few new things.  You really will enjoy their wonderful selection and fabulous products.
I used up some metal tags from my stash and tied a length of Solid Red Baker's Twine around them.  It's just $1 for a 10-yard length of this fabulous trim; and I use this one A LOT (just saying).  Thanks so much for visiting me today.  I'm always so grateful for your visits and I appreciate your comments and input.  I look forward to visiting your blog this week in return.  Stay creative and have fun in your craft room, friends.  You're always most welcome to stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for loads of great inspiration, information about special sales and promotions, and of course there's always lots of great shopping awaiting you at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Thanks for stopping by today.

The February assortment contains 9 styles and a total of 18 yards of ribbon that are perfect for all your crafting needs.  Each monthly assortment is a color or holiday themed mix.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

I had this super cool background die cut that my friend Debbie was sweet enough to send me a while back in several colors, and with all my craft room organization, it disappeared for a while.  I finally came across it again and had to use this one right away.  I love a great background die!
TIP:  If you are using a sheer ribbon to run across the center of your card, cut a piece of white cardstock just a tad smaller than the width of the ribbon and use it as a backing to make it opaque.  I also used 3 cute little 2-Tone Blue Sweetheart Blossoms below the sentiment to soften the look of the card.

My card is topped off with a pretty double-loop bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using the purple plaid ribbon from the February Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Hello Friend Cactus Card

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with a fun summer inspired greeting card. Because it's winter and I do not like winter.  But I do like cacti!

The colors on this card are so bright and cheerful I might almost be able to forget that it's snowing. Almost.

I recently picked up a new stamp set for coloring and knew it went perfectly with the RRR Chrysanthemums.  All I had to do is choose markers that coordinate and voila!

I've got my Chrysanthemum here layered with a couple of Lotus Flowers also from RRR. It creates an nice full arrangement and is finished off with die cut foliage, gold netting, loopy twine bows, and gorgeous trim.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Mad About You Valentine Shaker Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  This Mad Hatter Shaker Valentine is a fun way to let someone know, "Hey, I'm Mad About You!" this Valentine's Day!

Did you notice how the Mad Hatter's black checked trousers are echoed by the 3/8" Black Houndstooth Bow Cluster?  Any time you can repeat a pattern in a card design, you're going to have a win on your hands.

Top that bow with a little Black Baker's Twine to add even more fulness and texture.  I also wrapped it around the stem of the pocket watch shaker element.  Little touches like this add such wonderful detail when you are making a card.

Black Baker's Twine makes it easy to attach this cluster of metal embellishments, too.  Simply loop folded twine through the brad openings on the door plate, then wrap the loose ends back behind the card front.  Then you can also add a key and teacup at the top with a little bow and flower to really dress things up.

Using black ribbon is a great way to "ground" a mix of colors like the ones in this card.  It sort of ties them all together and makes them sing in harmony.  And that, my friends, is always a good thing!

Wishing you all a very Happy Valentine's Day!

Cheerio,

kathy

Pastel Birthday Wishes

Hi there ribbon lovers!  Bonnie here today sharing a fun and 'FLAT for mailing' birthday card showcasing a few of the ribbons from the February Ribbon Club Assortment from Really  Reasonable Ribbon.

Just $17 for both if you are located in the USA.

I set out with the mindset that I wanted this card to be FLAT for mailing, which is not my typical goal.  I'm more of a thick and dimensional card maker.  But as you can see, you CAN create a flat card and still incorporate lots of pretty ribbons and trims.

For a video tutorial on how I use mulberry paper, please click HERE.

I ran a strip of Blue Topaz Taffeta Ribbon down through the middle of the card under the sentiment and I added some Plum Baker's Twine over it to give it a little texture and depth.  I also folded two pieces of the Purple Plaid Ribbon from the February Ribbon Club Assortment and added them to the sentiment panel.

Happy Easter Bunny with a Carrot Car Card

Hello everyone and Happy Monday to you all! Today I have a super sweet Easter card made for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the beautiful flowers, ribbon, and embellishments. I LOVE making Easter Cards as they are so cute and fun to create.  I hope you enjoy my post for today.

On my card I had to go through all my design papers to find some that I thought would go perfect with this little bunny carrot car, heheeh.  I did three layers and then added the main panel using die cuts and then layered with the bunny carrot car die. I then added lots of Really Reasonable Ribbon flowers and the pink bead berry sprays. I also added some sewing and finished the inside of the card as well.

CottageCutz Bunny Carrot Car was colored using Copics, and the Happy Easter stamp is StampinUp!  I also used the punches for the circle and scallop. The swirl floral in green was done using a Cheery Lynn die, and I then added some flat backed pink pearls.
