I did some heat embossing to bring out the sentiments more.

I also heat embossed this heart chipboard charm frame and added a vintage gold charm to the center.

Wait Patiently Upon the Lord

Hello and welcome by!  It's Karen Letchworth here today  sharing a sweet little card today that I created using some lovely products from Really Reasonable Ribbon; and as always, I was able to find the perfect Ribbons and Embellishments to match my patterned papers.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries SO much more than ribbons.  You'd be surprised (if you're not already familiar) to see all the amazing products in their shop - AdhesivesEmbellishmentsMulberry FlowersHair AccessoriesTwinesLaces and all there is at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Here's what I came up with to share with you today.

I used some patterned papers that are from the Pretty Party line by Crate Paper (an old favorite of mine).  I attached the patterned papers with strips of Score-Tape and die-cut a background to lay over that.  I stamped my sentiment onto a coordinating paper tag and inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Ink.  And then.....the fun part!

I bundled a generous length of Ivory Burlap String and topped that with a Two-Tone Red & White Open Rose, and accented around that with orange and teal flowers from the Open Roses Pastel Assortment.  One (of the many) things I love about the Open Roses and other Mulberry Flowers is that they come in various sizes to accommodate each and every project.  This particular card uses the 10mm Open Roses.  Be sure to stop by the RRR Blog often to see all the wonderful inspiration from my talented teammates.  There's always something wonderful at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Blessings,
Karen

Blooming Beautiful Springtime Altered Art

Hello, Friends!  Kathy here with a bit of springtime altered art to inspire your creativity.  I love little decorative boxes.  So I created this lovely little Eileen Hull Treasure box, then decorated it with lots of blooming springtime flowers and elegant  1/2" Champagne Wrinkled Ribbon.

A little box like this one looks so pretty set out on a coffee table or nightstand.  To add the perfect shabby chic touch, why not run a bit of Crochet Lace around the bottom edge?  It's easy to keep in place when you use 1/8" Scor-Tape to attach it.

Here's a look at the beautiful bow cluster.  One of the things I love the most about the Champagne Wrinkled Ribbon is the neutral tone.  Here, it fits in perfectly with all the soft pastel flowers.  It's become one of my all time favorite choices for shabby chic projects.

The only thing I like better than a sweet little box is a sweet little box with something pretty inside.  So I created a tiny Eileen Hull Notebook to slip inside the box.

I've used the same ribbon to create a wrapped closure for this darling little album.

I love the way it looks wrapped around the album spine, too.

I've used it inside the album to decorate a simple page.....

... and to top a little art tag.

If you haven't added this gorgeous ribbon to your stash yet, I can highly recommend it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Floral Decorated Post it Purse

Hello everyone.  Cheryl here today with a sweet Post-It Note pad purse made for Really Reasonable Ribbon using their gorgeous ribbons, flowers and charms. It's funny, I have had this up in my cabinet for about 4 or 5 years now, and thought hmmm, I need to decorate it. I will also post a before photo of what it looked like before I decorated it.

To start with I chose some design papers I had laying around, and LOVE.  I used Mod Podge to add my design paper, and then used it over the paper once it dried to seal. Then I decided I needed to color the blue in, so I used black Copic marker, and then let it dry and sealed it with Mod Podge as well.

To decorate I chose ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon that I thought went well with the color scheme here.  The black is satin, and the pink is my favorite of the canvas color band ribbons. I added some Chelsea Roses, Rose Buds, and Open Roses to this beauty. I did also use the green leaves and the bronze leaves to finish this off.
Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies Used:
Rose Buds
Chelsea Rose
Rose
Embellishment leaves
Black Checkerboard Satin Ribbon
Canvas colored band ribbon in pink
green leaves

Summer at the Beach Greeting Card

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here to share a card I created with some of the new supplies I picked up with the intention of creating more clean and simple cards. I did not achieve that with this card lol.

This card also has a stamped and colored image.  Wouldn't it be lovely to have a little hut by the beach?  Especially one this bright and cheerful.
The new supply I mentioned is a scalloped stitched frame.  I've been framing everything lol.  I even created 2 large shaker cards.  I'm like a kid with a new puppy.
Even though this is an A2 sized card I was able to work in some fun details like vintage button, sequins, and Prills.
And of course I can't make a card without flowers and ribbon trims. Even if it is a beach card. Last but not least is a fun nautical compass charm.  If only I had one of these that would always point to the beach!

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Happy Easter

Hello to all our sweet and talented blog friends, and thanks for stopping by!  I'm sharing an extra sweet Easter card today that I created with some of favorite products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Everything I create using the fabulous ribbons, trims, flowers and more from Really Reasonable Ribbon do SO much to help make my cards extra special.
This card started with a white base and some inked Simple Stories patterned papers that I attached with strips of Scor-Tape.  I also laid a length of Cream Seam Binding on my card, and used that and lengths of Baby Pink Seam Binding and Lace Blue Seam Binding to tie my big beautiful bow.
In the midst of my Seam Binding bow, I tucked in several colors of the lovely Miniature Double Head Stamens, and I topped everything with some gorgeous Two-Tone Yellow Open Roses in 10mm and 15mm, as well as a 15mm Pale Pink Open Rose.
There's always a perfect trim, flower or embellishment for every project at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I hope that you will stop by often - they're always LOTS of great inspiration here.  Have a blessed week!

Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Have you had a chance to play with the April Ribbon Club Assortment yet?  This elegant Yellow and Grey Mix is like sunlight and shadow, and I just love how chic it is!  Today I've used the Charcoal Shimmer Satin and Yellow/Grey Chevron Stripe Grosgrain to adorn this shabby chic beauty of a card.

I love the way the Charcoal Shimmer Satin grounds all the bright yellow hues in this 5" x 7" card folio.  The soft shimmer is so elegant!

I love to add a little ribbon inside my cards as well.  It creates texture and adds an extra surprise for the recipient.

The side pocket contains a 4" x 6" magnet.I used the Charcoal Shimmer Satin and Yellow/Grey Chevron Striped Grosgrain to create a border on the bottom of the magnet.  Then I topped it with a sweet little bow and posy combination.

TIP: Use Scor-Tape to attach ribbon to paper.  It's quick, neat and easy.  And it holds everything perfectly in place! I attached the 1/2" wide Shimmer Satin with 1/2" Scor-Tape, and the grosgrain with 1/4" Scor-tape.

I hope I've shared some tips and ideas that you can use in your own crafting adventures and inspired you to get your craft on.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Sweet Friendship Decorated Box

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to you all! Today I'm sharing a decorated laughing cow cheese box using beautiful flowers, ribbons, leaves, and embellishments from  Really Reasonable Ribbon. I love how this turned out, as it was given to my neighbor for her birthday this past weekend.  She loved it!

On the box I started by covering it with paint.  Then I used Spellbinder dies to cut out the shapes of cardstock and design papers. I did distress them all with ink. Then I started with the Delicate Stitched Satin Pink ribbon, by making a bow, and hot gluing it to the box. Next I made another bow using the beautiful checkered ribbon, and then started layering the flowers. I did make some flowers using the seam binding.

Also used the canvas color band ribbon for around the box to cover the edges, there are two bands of ribbon, you can see them a tad bit in the photo right below.

Teacher Gift Card Holder with Tutorial

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here dropping in with a project that I created as a special request for a card that would be a gift card holder for a teacher.
I'm using a combination of collections with a vintagy school vibe.
Classic colors and plaid patterns are layered with black cardstock borders to keep it from looking busy.

What a better match for this card than the black plaid ribbon. I've topped it with a second bow of twine and a vintage button.

This gorgeous magnolia flowers and leaves are Wild Orchid Crafts and come from RRR also.

Inside the card is a place to add a nice sentiment and a pocket to hold the gift card.

Please enjoy this process video of how I created this card.......
