Simply Renee Clip It Up Ribbon Organizer

Gosh!!! If only you knew how much I dreaded making this posting and admitting that I really do like and have a true affinity for ribbon!!!! I think this fetish comes from being the only daughter and first granddaughter where the most important thing was matching ribbons and all of that frou-frou!! And now I can sit around wearing jeans and a sweatshirt and use any ribbon I want to....though being able to match is still at the top of the list!!And I can assure you that being on the Really Reasonable Design Team certainly does not make one very organized at all when it comes to ribbon!!! Sorry, Bonnie...but it just doesn't!!!!LOLOL But thanks for not asking us to show papers and flowers!!!! Eeeeek!!!

I have several different ways to organize (?) my ribbons/trims but the one I use for the majority of them is the 36" Clip It Up Ribbon Organizer by Simply Renee--I am giving the link to the Simply Renee Blog since the company website is obviously not working. Of course I have three of these organizers and I have no more room to add other ones..lol It is quite sturdy and will hold rolls up to 4 1/4" in diameter. The organizer has 2 metal rods(1 holds down ends of spool ribbon in tray, while the other installs under tray to hold swivel clips for scraps), 2 one foot measuring stickers, 40 swivel clips, mounting hardware and instructions. The tray also has built in scissors holders at each end. Rather than the baggies shown in the Clip It Up advertising, I use ribbon cards to wrap ribbons and laces to hang on the bottom rod. Hopefully these pictures will make it a bit clearer.

As some of you know, I just love using organza ribbon because it ties so nicely and doesn't always hide all of the patterns in the DP. AND I just have to have it in all colors and complete rolls of it so I don't run out!! So for my organzas I use the marvelous 36" Clip It Up Ribbon Organizer close at hand which gives me space at the bottom for some various laces which I have on Cropper Hopper Ribbon Cards and hooked to the bottom rail.

In addition I have two more organizers which are installed end to end for much of my other rolls of ribbon and the shorter ribbons are also on the bottom using the swivel hooks and ribbon cards. You can see that these units are below a shelf system which ordinarily would be wasted space----but not so with the Clip It Up Ribbon Organizers!!

To keep my Really Reasonable Ribbons handy I have them wrapped on the same kind of cards and placed in my top drawer by color at my play/coloring station so I can grab them in a split second!!

My guess is that there are as many ways to store your ribbons and trims as there are everyday opinions...but this product works well for me! We would love to hear/see your ideas so be sure to leave them on the posting above. I think on Monday I will have more information for you regarding other things which I have found for organizing ribbons/trims so I hope you will come by HERE . Also please drop by Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings each day through the 16th for loads of information on ribbon organization!! Until the next time big hugs from Jacque!!!

  9. Oh boy, I sure wish, Iwas this organized, but unfortunately I´m NOT. I have one drawer and a box and some bags with ribbons in, so I sometimes really feel I spend more time looking for the right one, than actually using it. I could really need to get the really best idea to, how to store both rolls and small pieces, so I can always see, what I have very easy, and that´s also why I alwayslooks for everything about storing ribbons, cause I´m afraid, I also have an addiction to gorgeous ribbons, so I hav quite a few of them he he he, but I love every little piesce ,a dn would never dream of throwing anything out, as even the smallest piece can be used some way or another.

  16. I love Ribbon Rings for my ribbon storage!! I have both the large and small tags. Sure can store a lot of ribbon in a small space, the ribbon doesn't get wrinkled, and I like the look of them hanging by my window. Like a rainbow!

  19. I am also a lover of organza ribbon, and at the moment I keep it on the original spool -- takes up way too much space! I definitely need better organization for all my ribbons.

  21. Oh Jacque~

Your organza ribbons just make me drool! They are so beautiful...and to see so many different style ribbons, and the colors go on and on and on...I'm sure it helps when pulling a card together...although I know you could still be missing the perfect ribbon for a certain card!

At least you know where to go get it!
