I have to admit, when Bonnie first suggested that we have this organization week, I kinda panicked. If you had seen the strands of ribbon I had piled on each other haphazardly you probably would have cringed LOL! I really had to get my booty in gear and do something about it! To start, I have a couple of ribbon storage rods that I picked up at Michaels a few months back:
These are perfect for storing spools of ribbon. Next I have my big Scrap Box:
Many of the bins on the right side hold my abundance of ribbon:)
I have bins for my 7/8" and 1 1/2" solid grosgrain spools:
a bin for my patterned grosgrain spools:
then I used this fantastic Ribbon Spooler by Creative Touch to roll up all of my many strands of ribbon:
and I separated them by color family into plastic bags:
Oh my goodness, it's so much nicer now, and I feel so organized!!! I also tried out the compartments that you can get with the Ribbon Spooler:
They fit perfectly in my bin! I definitely need more of these. Finally another one of my new favorite things, the Ribbon Ring!
I love this thing and have already placed an order for a few more:) It's perfect for adding ribbon from the monthly Ribbon Club Assortments, and I have the perfect place for them here on my Clip it up Wall Mount from Simply Renee!
Thank you for making me get organized, Bonnie, and I hope I've helped to motivate some of you out there too! Have a wonderful Saturday!

Soo organized it all looks here. Thanks so much for sharing the great ideas you have too. I love those rods from Micheals for the spools and the ribbon rings too. I always find these two the hardest to fit into anything, and I can see, you girls use these a lot, so maybe that´s what I need to go for too.

Wooow! Talk about ribbons! Truly well organized. Hopefully I'll too have enough space to organize all my stuff/ribbon like you ladies have!
ReplyDeleteHOLY RIBBON CLUB!! I like how it all looks now! I need something like this, but smaller and hangs on the wall......on second thought, if I hang any thing else off the walls, hubby tells me they will fall down! LOL TFS
ReplyDeleteGreat storage for ribbon!! That's a lotta ribbon. TFS
ReplyDeleteEvery since RRR started this Organization Week, I've been working on getting my ribbons organized. I'm not nearly as far along as you are, but it's beginning to take shape. More and more I'm liking the ribbon rings but I have so little space in my craft room to hang them! Still thinking on the best overall solution.
ReplyDeleteYou have the original scrap box... Drool... Love your ribbon storage, especially the one hanging on the wall with the spools..
