Shabby Chic Painted Altoid Tin and Tag

Hello Friends!!
Heather here and today I am sharing a tag with you that I created for the galz at the Gecko Galz Retreat that I went to in Texas this past weekend.  I also have an altered painted tin to share.  Both with just a bit of Really Reasonable Ribbon goodies!!

On my tag I used my favorite Moss green LeavesBaby Pink Mulberry Roses, Light Pink Circus dots grosgrain, Tombow Foam Tabspink baker's twine, Scor TapeRosemary crochet lace, 1/4 natural crochet lace and pink diagonal ribbon (inked with vintage photo....I didn't have frayed burlap with me so all pieces were inked with the vp).  I designed this tag special for the girls as gifts at the retreat....I will have a YouTube video coming soon....this time using some other fabby ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Above you can see how I used the tombow foam tabs to elevate my center focal floral frame and rose border at the bottom.  I just tucked the Circus dots under the roses with the Scor-Tape then added the crochet lace on top of that.  I also added the circus dots at the top of the card (the dots were just covered in the bottom piece).  Close up of the bottom.

I used the moss green leaves under my bird image and then applied the mulberry rose.  The antique button was tied with the baker's twine.
Here is my tin.

I used the Bow It All tool and Old Willow Organza to create my lovely double bow.
Look at the side.

Here is a peek at the inside.

I hope you enjoyed my post today!
Thank you for visiting us at Really Reasonable Ribbon!!
Hugs!!
Heather

  1. Heather, that painted tin is gorgeous! I am fighting the urge to feel jealous over the fact that you can paint so well. I also really love the vintage vibe in the tag.
