Cheery Autumn Flowers and Brown Glitz Ribbon

Kathy Clement, Kathy by Design, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Fall Flowers

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  How can it already be the end of August?  You know what that means, right?  Time to pull out our autumn ribbons and flowers!

Have you discovered the beauty of Glitz Ribbon yet?  It's one of my favorites because it not only has a bit of sparkle, but it's also ties beautiful bows!  I've layered Brown Glitz Ribbon under a trio of Mixed Earth Tone Chrysanthemums and Rosebuds

TIP:  Trim the stems from your Chrysanthemums, but keep the little beaded ends that are close to the flower base.  You can tuck these into your flower display to add an extra bit of texture.

TIP: Don't forget to add leaves to your flower display. Leaves add a lot of fulness and they make paper flowers look more realistic.

Enjoy these last few days of summer, friends!

Woodland Critters Tea Party in a Box

Kathy Clement, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Simple Stories Cozy Days, Folio

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Fall is the perfect time to cozy up with a hot cuppa and a good book.  That's why I created this adorable Woodland Critters Tea Party in a Box Folio with ribbon, trims and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Could anything be more perfect on a woodland themed project than Chipmunk Delicate Stitched Satin?  I've used it as the ribbon closure and added it to the pretty Mixed Earth Tone Chrysanthemum floral cluster, too. It's especially lovely when topped with Pink & Brown Twist Baker's Twine bowsSweetheart Blossoms add a pop of dimension to the cute banner, too.

The folio base is made with 110# cardstock that I've joined together with 1/2" and 1/4" Scor-Tape.  I don't need to worry about all these fun flips, flaps and pockets failing when I use this adhesive to hold things together!

The tea party is tucked snugly inside the center box pocket of the folio.  Flap pages on either side are filled with tags, pockets, mini folios and flips.  When the treats are all gone, the box pocket is a great place to store photos of your tea party!

I've topped this little bookmark with more Chipmunk Satin and more Baker's Twine.  It's the perfect finishing accent for the project.  If you're looking for a great, all-purpose fall ribbon, I highly recommend it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous Fall Critters Easel Card

Ciao Bella Sound of Autumn Easel Card with Really Reasonable Ribbon by kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It still feels like summer here in North Carolina, but the calendar tells me that fall will soon be here.  Time to break out those pretty fall ribbons (my favorite) and festive fall papers, my friends!  This fabulous fall critters easel card features one of my all time favorites: Copper and Cream Plaid Ribbon.  Its rich hues really work for fall projects. Pumpkin Baker's Twine added extra texture to my ribbon clusters, too.  It's the perfect shade for autumn.

I've paired this pretty ribbon up with some 35mm Mixed Earth Tone Trellis Roses  35mm green leaves  and Mixed Earth Tone Chrysanthemums and Sweetheart Blossoms from the RRR shop.

TIP: Did you know  you can alter your mulberry flowers and leaves with mists, paints, sprays and stains?  It's so easy to brush Distress Stain over these grey roses so that they match your papers.  And you can create fall foliage just by tapping Distress Paint over the surface of the leaves.  Try it yourself, and see  how easy it is to create a custom look for your fall cards.

Here's a peek at the inside of this sweet card.  I don't know about  you, but I love to add pockets to my cards so that I can tuck in little surprises or treats.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Photo Folio by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon Photo 01

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Happy Thanksgiving!  I'm about to trade in my scissors for my apron and rolling pin because it's time to bake pies.  But I thought I'd pop in quickly and share this adorable Thanksgiving Photo Folio with you first.

Burlap string bows create the perfect little nest for this cute felt pumpkin.  Clustered together with die cut leaves, wheat stalks, and pretty flowers from the RRR shop it ties all the colors in this folio together. You can almost hear the leaves crunching under the feet of the cute kids in the picture.   I selected Olive Green, Antique Gold, Yellow and Red Burlap string for the bows. Tie all four lengths of string into a big loopy bow with a little help from your Bow-it-All Tool.  The flowers are Mixed Earth Tone Chrysanthemums and Mixed Earth Tone Rose Buds.

The inside of the folio has flap pages, pockets and magnetic mini folios.

I really cherish the old family photos from Thanksgivings past.  The images bring back lots of happy memories.

I wish you all a blessed, happy and delicious Thanksgiving Day!
