Hello Valentine

Hi friends!  It's your friend Karen here today.  Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and I've got a few special cards ready for some loved ones.  It's always a fun occasion to send little love notes to tell others how much you love and care about them.  Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect ribbons, trims and twines to accent every card with the perfect colors, widths, textures and designs.  This card is pure love.
I used black cardstock layered with white cardstock and then a layer of pink gingham patterned paper; and each one was cut using a Rectangle Pierced Die Set.  I used a FUN new Fringe Heart Dies from Pretty Pink Posh to create the heart.  Rather than using the Fringe Heart Dies to cut from just paper, I used them to cut through various ribbons/trims including Rose Petal Seam Binding (bottom), Medium Pink Gingham Ribbon (middle) and 1.5" Pink Netting (top).  I tied a length of Solid Black Baker's Twine around the middle of the heart.
I cut a second heart using more of the pretty Medium Pink Gingham Ribbon.  I also added some 11mm White Heart Shaped Flatback Embellishments.  It's FUN using ribbons when cutting with die-cuts; and Really Reasonable Ribbon truly is the number ONE place to find ribbons, trims, twines, laces and SO many other wonderful goodies to use in crafting and card-making.  I added a bit more of the 1.5" Pink Netting and a length of Pink & Cream Striped Grosgrain Ribbon underneath the decorative heart.
The darling sentiment is from Bonnie Garby Designs from the Be My Valentine 2 Stamp Set.  Everything is held securely in place with a fabulous Adhesive called Scor-Tape.  This Adhesive is awesome because it works so well, and it comes in various widths to accommodate each trim or paper based on the size needed.  I think I covered everything I used; but if not, feel free to ask me any questions you might have.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries so many great trims and products to help you create lovely cards and art projects.
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit us.  We hope that you'll check out the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog often for lots of great inspiration, and of course, for our monthly Blog Hops starting on the 13th of each month.  Check out Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie Garby Designs; and be sure to treat yourself, friends.  You deserve it, and you'll LOVE it.  Happy Valentine's Day to you all.

Blessings,

2 page Layout "So Berry Sweet"

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Monday to you all! DT Member Cheryl here today sharing another fun Layout , 2 pages that was done for our weekly Get IT Done challenge that my dear friend Colleen and I are doing weekly, so hoping to inspire those who love scrapbooking. These were also designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous ribbons Bonnie carries in the shop and also using Scor-tape as well to put these together.

Ive been having so much fun doing these pages and sharing them weekly with you all, and then adding them all to my scrapbooks. These pages here were done using the SVG file from Marjorie Ann Designs called "So Berry Sweet" aren't they the cutest bears ever? Just loved working with them and airbrushing them using the Copic airbrushing technique, and then piecing them together. I did do their eyes and eyelashes and have several videos on YouTube showing this technique if you would like to see, I will LINK here!

The design papers are a mix of some designs I bought at American crafts warehouse sale several years back, and the borders that are hearts are punched out using the large Martha Stewart Punches. All pieces and layers were attached using Scor-tape from RRR store . Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon was using in pearl pink

I do hope you enjoyed my Layout post today, and thank you so very much for stopping by! Hugs to all, Cheryl

Lilac and Lavender

Kathy Clement-Kathy by Design-Lilac Seam Binding Ribbon-Spellbinders Lily Arch Stamp

Hello, Friends!  Lilac and Lavender are such perfect colors for springtime crafting!  That's why I chose to make a Lilac Seam Binding Ribbon Closure for this mixed media card.

Kathy Clement-Kathy by Design-Really Reasonable Ribbon-Spellbinders Lily Arch Stamp

Do you ever make ribbon closures for  your cards?  It's such a pretty way to use ribbon.  Here's how I do it:
  • Cut two lengths of ribbon about 10" long.
  • Place about 2 Inches of 1/2" Scor-Tape on the front center edge and back center edge of your card base.
  • Remove the tape liner from the Scor-Tape and lay one end of your ribbon over the adhesive.
  • Now top your card base with designer paper and you have a pretty ribbon closure for your card

Here's a quick look at the inside of the card.

Dress a tea bag and a chocolate up inside cute little white bags, then top with more Lilac Seam Binding Ribbon. Aren't they sweet?

I hope you are all having a joyful and creative day today!

Thanks for stopping by!

Woodland Critters Tea Party in a Box

Kathy Clement, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Simple Stories Cozy Days, Folio

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Fall is the perfect time to cozy up with a hot cuppa and a good book.  That's why I created this adorable Woodland Critters Tea Party in a Box Folio with ribbon, trims and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Could anything be more perfect on a woodland themed project than Chipmunk Delicate Stitched Satin?  I've used it as the ribbon closure and added it to the pretty Mixed Earth Tone Chrysanthemum floral cluster, too. It's especially lovely when topped with Pink & Brown Twist Baker's Twine bowsSweetheart Blossoms add a pop of dimension to the cute banner, too.

The folio base is made with 110# cardstock that I've joined together with 1/2" and 1/4" Scor-Tape.  I don't need to worry about all these fun flips, flaps and pockets failing when I use this adhesive to hold things together!

The tea party is tucked snugly inside the center box pocket of the folio.  Flap pages on either side are filled with tags, pockets, mini folios and flips.  When the treats are all gone, the box pocket is a great place to store photos of your tea party!

I've topped this little bookmark with more Chipmunk Satin and more Baker's Twine.  It's the perfect finishing accent for the project.  If you're looking for a great, all-purpose fall ribbon, I highly recommend it.

Thanks for stopping by!
