Really Reasonable Ribbon-Nautical Shaker Card-Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Come sail away with me and let the sea breeze blow all your worries away!  And if you can't actually run away to the beach, you can make a nautical themed shaker pop up card, and it's almost as good!  I've adorned this sweet card with Glory Blue Seam Binding Ribbon and Airmail Baker's Twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

There's even more fun inside this card with a surprise pop up element, gift card pocket, blank sentiment card and themed tag.

If you close your eyes and imagine, you can feel the sunshine on your shoulders and hear the sea gulls cry as they float above the waves.

See?  Sometimes a mini vacation is all you need!

Wishing you sunshine thoughts!

Flip Flops and Pink Flamingos Shaker Pop Up Card with Summer Ribbon

Really Reasonable Ribbon-PHotoplay Paper-Kathy Clement-Shaker Card-Pop Up Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It's time to break out the flip flops and pink flamingo pool toys, because summer is almost here.  This playful shaker card is filled with all the shades of cool, sweet summer sherbet.

I've added to that summer fun vibe with a 3/16" loopy orange gingham bow.  Then I topped it with pretty Pink Baker's Twine and a trio of Peach/Orange/White Chrysanthemums from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I can almost taste those sweet summer treats when I look at this whimsical card.

There's even more fun inside the card with a surprise double pop-up element, pocket and pink flamingo gift card holder.  Add a little more pink Baker's Twine and a bitty button to dress up the gift card wallet.

Wishing you a sunny day, filled with sweet treats!

Watermelon Friends Pocket Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  I'm here today with a slice of summertime goodness!  To me, summer doesn't officially start until I've enjoyed my first slice of sweet juicy watermelon.  So I've topped this adorable friendship card with a double serving of Watermelon Plaid Ribbon.

I love it when I can find just the right color ribbon to finish off a project.  And when that ribbon also happens to be plaid, then I'm doubly happy!    This Watermelon Plaid Ribbon ties the prettiest bows!

Nothing says "party" like a banner does, so I've topped my card with a little fussy cut banner.  Pink Burlap String tops it and the ice cream tag on the cover.

I've also threaded some little ribbon scraps through the legs of a paper clip.  Top it off with a pink posy and you've got a mighty cute handmade embellishment.

The inside of the card is sweet and simple with a little spot to write a greeting and a tag pocket combo.  You could easily tuck a little gift card in here, too.

I hope you are enjoying your summer time crafting!

Ribbons and Flowers and Shakers, Oh My!

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It's Kathy popping in today with a sweet little gardening themed folio.  This one has ribbons and flowers and a shaker element, too!  Oh, My!

This is one of my fun card folio designs.  The side fold folio measures 7" x 5" and it's filled to the brim with interactive elements.  I love the way this Capri Blue Taffeta Ribbon pops against the primary colors in Graphic 45's Mother Goose Collection.  I've used the taffeta ribbon in the bow cluster along with a little Natural Burlap String Bow.  It also serves as the closure mechanism for the folio.

The shaker element is surrounded by a combination of handmade flowers and Red Sweetheart Blossoms.

We are enjoying our tiny summer garden, and that inspired me to make this garden themed folio.  I've combined papers from Mother Goose and Home Sweet Home on the album interior.

I've included lots of flaps and pockets for loads of interactive fun.
I even managed to fit in a waterfall feature so I can take photos of my proud hubby's heirloom tomatoes when they start coming in.

To help you see how all these interactive mechanisms work, I've created a little YouTube video tour. Enjoy!

I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful summer with plenty of time for family, gardening, travel, crafting or whatever pursuits help you to relax.  Summer is gone too soon, so make the most of it and remember to capture those memories!

A Melon Thanks by Jenn Cochran

Hello RRR friends and followers!  Jenn here from Jax Bean Stalks.  Today I have a fun end of summer card.  Here in Colorado the watermelon is just about over....but still good.  So here is to the end of summer and oh how I will miss the watermelons and summer!

My card today is featuring three Really Reasonable Ribbon ribbons.  The main ribbon I used is the Sheer Kiwi Watermelon.  It is super sheer and the two tone coloring is just amazing and beautiful!  Behind this super sheer ribbon is the 1/8" diagonal striped ribbon in black.  This ribbon is fun to make multiple loops and fan them out in front or behind an accent ribbon.  In my bow I put this ribbon in the middle and made it a bit wider than the other two.  Finally in the back of my bow, as a base, I used the Black Organza Ribbon.  It comes on a spool!  This is a great ribbon to keep on hand for a base ribbon when making multi-layer bows or it is a great stand alone ribbon.

As you can see from the side, I used a small piece of the top ribbon (kiwi watermelon) and tied all three separate bows together.  This bow is on the bulky side but it sure does look stunning on the front of this card!

The stamp set is a retired stamp from Stampendous-Cutie Watermelon.  The entire card is stamped using Memento ink.  The images are colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Summer in Session.....

Tomorrow is my son's last day of his sophomore year.  This means a little flexibility in our schedules.   Which is very much welcomed at the moment.   Now if only my allergies would let up!
With Summer soon in session I created this ultra bright and sweet gift bag for someone special.  I used the Polka dot big bitty bags as my base.  I layered a paper border and homemade paper fringe at the bottom along with a doily, diecuts, and a rosette made with the Scor-buddy mini tablet.   My fun ribbons come from this month's Ribbon Club Assortment .    Hope you enjoy!   Cherry

"Summer Sunset" by Tracey Sabella

It's Friday, the final day of the RRR Pre-Labor Day Sale. Go here for all the details and to get your coupon code to use at checkout.

Hi, it's Tracey here to share a new project with you featuring Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie's new Wild Orchid Crafts Mulberry Flowers.

Each season has its particular beauty, and a summer sunset at the beach has its own special glory. This photo was taken last summer when Gary and I went to the East Coast for our 30th anniversary. One evening we went to the beach and boardwalk of Atlantic City. The Boardwalk held little attraction for me, but the beauty of the sea was just amazing.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Products:

Tips and Techniques:
I created this triple loop bow with Sheer Iridescent Blue/Green Organza Ribbon by May Arts. I used a variation of Ginny's Double Loop Bow Tutorial found here

Included in my cluster are some of Bonnie's new Wild Orchid Crafts Mulberry Flowers which are a new offering at RRR. Here I've used the White Sweetheart BossomsWhite/Cream Cherry Blossoms, and the White 30mm Wild Roses

Here you can see another of the Sweetheart Blossoms tucked in with a Petaloo flower and Spellbinders Foliage leaves that remind me of seaweed.

I painted the leafy DA chipboard flourishes with several shades of metallic Lumiere paint, then added some gold Shimmerz Blingz to highlight.

Here's a recent layout I created for Donna Salazar Designs that included ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store.

"Timeless Love"

You can see I used the Sheer Iridescent Champagne Ribbon to create a double loop bow and to weave through the punched doily design.

Now hop on over to the Really Reasonable Store to pick up your ribbon, flowers, and more. Don't forget, today is the final day of Bonnie's Pre-Labor Day Sale. You have until midnight EDT to use your coupon code.

~ Blessings ~
