Vintage Butterflies!

Hello!! I decided to create a vintage looking card today...I sooo love the vintage look! Really Reasonable Ribbon makes it really easy to achieve this look from it's many vintage looking ribbons. I have used a few on my card today! The ribbon behind the image is a Abagail White Crochet Lace, and the ribbon on the side in front of the image is the Sheer Looped White Trim. Both are just the right touch for that vintage feel! :)

The image and sentiment is from the Faith set from Our Daily Bread Designs. I colored the image with copics and sponged the background slightly with baja breeze Stampin Up ink. The DP is from Basic Grey, and the half pearls are from Zva Creative.

Thanks so much for visiting today! For more projects with Really Reasonable Ribbons on them head on over to my blog!

Tuesday's ribbony goodies

I had what I thought was a great idea for a card for today, using the January Ribbon Club Assortment of pretty Valentines ribbons in pinks and reds, but sometimes what you see in your head at 3 a.m. while your husband is snoring next to you and you can't sleep, doesn't necessarily translate to what happens when you sit at your desk!  So, I have a confession to make.  This is not a new card, and it's nothing like what I had planned on making for today, but you will just have to live with it!  LOL  I'm sorry.  However, I like this card, and it can be made using all ribbon or a mix of ribbon and strips of patterned paper and card.  In principle it's the same as this one, which is sewn on, and I have also made brooches the same way in the past (no pics, sorry.)

Thanks for looking, and hopefully by next Tuesday what I see in my head will be able to translate into something worth uploading here!

Bow With Brad Tutorial

Hello everyone!
True :D here.

I got a very warm responce to my Inky Antics ~ "Consider Yourself Hugged" card that I posted last week on my blog and many of the comments were about the bow.

I even had a couple of people email me with questions on how I did it.
I thought the best way to explain it is with a quick video tutorial. You will see just how simple it is.
The ribbon I am using in the video is from Really Reasonable Ribbon's beautiful January Ribbon of the Month package.

The Vintage Pearl Brads are from Creative Charms which works out perfectly because the are our co-sponsor for our current Really Reasonable Ribbon's Rambling challenge. The challenge is "Use Hearts and Ribbon" and runs through January 30th. I think we are all adding hearts to our creations this time of year so why not come join us in our challenge, share your creations with others who would love to see it, and be entered for a chance to win one of the prizes?  :)

OK... enough of my rambling!
On with the show!

See...told ya...EASY!

Thanks for dropping by!
Hugs,
True :D
