Thinking of You Card

Do you enjoy creating cards to give to that special someone?  It's easy to create cards using the Really Reasonable Ribbon January Valentine Assortment, vintage inspired image and pattern paper.
I tucked some of the Sweetheart Blossoms under the bow.
Then I added a Flat Back Pearls on top of the lace that is in this month's monthly assortment.
Homemade cards are a great way to tell that special someone just how much they mean to you.
Wishing you a wonderful day, dear friends.

Hot Pink Valentine Smooches

Hey peeps.  It's Dana of Got Joy Creations.  Have you had a chance to play in the hearts and ribbon challenge?  We would love to see your creations.  You can click here to check it out.  I'm still working on my Valentine's Day cards.

This card was calling for some pretty ribbon.  It was just too blah so I pulled out the gorgeous brenda white crochet lace ribbon and hot pink satin grosgrain ribbon to fancy up my card.  I love the entire January Ribbon Club pack.  It has the most amazing and color coordinating pink ribbon.  You will definitely fall in LOVE with this pack.

Here is a closeup of that gorgeous lace ribbon.  Isn't it beautiful?!?  Oh I LOVE it.  Placing the hot pink behind it just peeking out at the bottom looks sooo fabulous!

Thanks for hanging out with me today.  Make sure to swing by tomorrow to see what we have in store for you.

Hugs,
Dana

You are Special

It's my turn to share on the RRR Blog and today I want to show you a fast and easy fun card that will make you go loopy~!  With ribbon, that is!
First, I chose a previous month's Ribbon Club Assortment (January 2012) and used some of the printed ribbon scraps that I had left. I LOVE how all of the ribbons in the assortment go together so I don't have to spend time choosing what will work with what. I decided to use all grosgrain, although you can mix and match ribbon styles and widths for fun textures.

Start with your card layer and Scor-Tape. I use the 1/4" for the grosgrain. Add a piece of tape the width of your card, and just high enough for the length of loops you want to make. My bottom row of loops were approximately one inch long, so I adhered the tape about half an inch up from the bottom of my card panel.
Add a second row of tape for the second row of loops. The second row of loops were about 1 1/2" long. I didn't measure any of this, just eye-balled it!
Begin with your smaller cut loops and adhere them to themselves using Glue Dots, then to the bottom row of Scor-Tape, folding in half.
Continue adding loops across the entire bottom row of Scor-Tape.
Add the second row of longer loops.
I alternated the ribbon patterns as I went. Finish off with a length of ribbon of one of your patterns, using Scor-Tape to adhere.
Add your desired design to the rest of the card. My sentiment is from In and Out You by Flourishes. I added Kaiser Pearls to the corner for a little pop of bling. All done!
I hope you will try this very easy, fun, loopy design!
What do you think? I think this is one more reason to join the Monthly Ribbon Club! And I think my mom will love this for her birthday this month!

You Are A Cutie

Hello,
Dawn here today.
Teddy Bears are one of my weaknesses- I collect them in every form. Making a Valentine card with rich and beautiful ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
This wonderful Red ribbon is from the January Ribbon club assortment.

Today I want to share an adorable Popcorn Bear image I used from Crafters's Companion- Just Because

I even used that yummy ribbon on the inside to join to pieces of designer paper.
I am pretty sure I will be using this for someone at Valentines Day.

.Have you signed up to get Ribbon of the Month assortments?
