BLESSED Gift Card Folder/Glassine Bag

Hello blog friends, Karen here.....and welcome by today as I share a fun project featuring some of the FABULOUS products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The card/folder I'm sharing today uses a couple of the amazing trims found in this month's Ribbon Club Assortment along with a few different favorites of mine.  I have SO many "favorites" in this month's collection, and at RRR in general; and that makes it very difficult to narrow it down to just a couple of them to put on my card.  I tend to just pile on LOTS of goodies when it comes to Really Reasonable Ribbon.  But in this case, I used only a couple of the trims from this month's Ribbon Club Assortment.  Let me just say, you WILL WANT this gorgeous assortment.
Someone asked me if I could make several different Christmas card/gift holders for various people on her Christmas list.  I knew right away this would be a really FUN order to fill.  I love using glassine bags and small treat bags for this very purpose.  Using bags is a great way to create natural "pockets" where you can tuck in photo mats, gift cards, and journalling pages, etc.  That's exactly what I have here from just one glassine bag folded over and decorated.  Lots of FABULOUS Scor-Tape happening here, friends.
I used a medium sized glassine bag that I folded in half and covered it with patterned papers, a plastic page, some washi tapes and snippets of paper to cover the pages.  I wanted to leave the pages blank (just paper covered) so that each page could be used as a photo mat or a spot for journalling a message, the date, etc. and there are pockets for tucking in photos, messages, memories/trinkets and more.  I thought personal photos would be super cute on the inside pages.  SO many cute projects can be made using paper bags, glassine bags, or any small treat bag.   Scor-Tape holds everything together securely, and Really Reasonable Ribbon has ALL the other perfect touches to help you complete a project like this one.
The front of this sweet bag is decorated with a piece of the 5/8" Sherry Diamond Satin, and a bow that includes the 3/8" Bird Print on Antique White Satin, Green, Red and Ivory Burlap String, and is topped with an Antique White Lotus Flower.  The title on the front of the book (gift card holder) was stamped with the word BLESSED from Paper Sweeties.  On each side of the sentiment spot, I placed a White Flatback Pearl accent.  They're such a pretty little touch on either side of my sweet sentiment.  Can you tell that I LOVE the 3/8" Bird Print on Antique White Satin, ??? I used it here again on the inside page.  It's just so cute.
There are so many great products at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You're sure to find something different and wonderful every time you stop by.  There is just SO much to see.  You'll stop by for ribbons, and you'll quickly find out there's SO much more.  So pretty, so sweet, and SO reasonably priced.  Why not treat yourself to a few Christmas goodies?  Go on, you deserve it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Kiss The Cook/Recipe Card Folder

Hello there, and thanks for visiting today, everyone.  Karen Letchworth here posting a fun Recipe Card Folder that's sure to warm your heart.  I used lots of great products from Really Reasonable Ribbon to create this for a friend who loves to cook/bake; and who loves old "kitchy" things like I do.  So, with that theme in mind, I decided to send her a card that not says hello and lets her know I'm thinking about her, but also incorporates a couple of recipes and even gives me the opportunity to tuck in a few vintage kitchy items for her.
I started with a basic card, and used cardstocks and patterned papers to make my base.  I ran some red print gaffer tape along the binding of the card to give it some girth (you may catch a glimpse of it in photos).  The front of the card incorporates the cardstocks, patterned papers and ephemera which I layered together securely with strips of Scor-Tape.  This is a fabulous Adhesive that comes in several widths to help you create cards and projects that will stay together over time.  The front of my card also has a journaling card from this Bo Bunny (Kiss The Cook) line I used.  I added a length of Cherry Baker's Twine to the printed apron, and I tied it around her apron giving it extra length to hang down.  Baker's Twine is SUPER inexpensive at just 10cents/yard and comes in OODLES of fun colors.  The sentiment on the front of the card is a chipboard piece from this same Bo Bunny line.  I also added a floral cluster/bow to the front of the card which includes a length of Red Burlap String and Cherry Baker's Twine, and is topped with a Yellow Magnolia Flower and two Pastel Green Open Roses, some Red, Blue and Black Double Head Stamens and a Mulberry Leaf.  I also sprinkled some prills on the paper surrounding the floral cluster.  There's also a 16mm Heart Shaped Immitation Pearl Buckle Slide on the front of my card that has red and yellow prills and glitter in its center.
On the inside left of the card, I added a small white lunch bag that I folded over to create a pocket.  I covered the smaller (low) portion of the bag with patterned papers, and used Scor-Tape once again to secure the outer edges of the pocket; leaving me with the small extra pocket in front where I tucked in a cute ephemera chocolate chip cookie with cooking tips written on it, an antique/vintage wooden spoon with the wrapper still on, a ticket, and a tea bag.  Then, in the top pocket of the bag, I tucked in a couple recipe cards with yummy recipes on them for my friend to enjoy.  I decorated the pocket bag with a width of Red Gingham Ribbon, Yellow Burlap String, Red Double-Head Stamens, Black Gingham Ribbon tied with Solid Black Baker's Twine, and some Mixed Blue Sweetheart Blossoms.  You can see some of the peeking through when you look at the front of the card.
On the inside right of the card, I added a piece of ivory cardstock inked with red edges.  This is where I will write my personal note to my friend before sending it off.  I tried really hard not to add too much, but to still give my card some special touches.  Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect items to help me adorn my cards and projects.  Things like Mulberry Flowers, Stamens, Burlap String, Baker's Twine, Adhesives, and SO much more can be found at RRR.  There's also lots of inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and let's not forget about our FUN monthly Blog Hop which is just around the corner.  We hope you'll join us in  six days (13th of every month) for our Blog Hop where one lucky person will win our FABULOUS Ribbon Club Assortment.  Like I said, there's always lots of inspiration and fun at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Thanks again for stopping by!

Today I'm sharing a sweet shabby chic card I created using lots of great products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I just LOVE that I can always count on Really Reasonable Ribbon to have the perfect trims (and SO much more) for every crafty project I tackle.  No matter what the theme, the color pattern, the type of project, or most any other variable; I'm always sure to find exactly what I need at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This shabby chic card was no exception.  I used some (super old) Simple Stories patterned papers scraps (from their Homemade Holiday line), a Melissa Frances chipboard piece, and LOTS of fabulous goodies from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I added some rusty jingle bells tied with Red Burlap String and Natural Burlap String.  I also added half of a tea-stained doily, and ran a length of Natural Crochet Lace up my card and I incorporated it into my bow.  I tucked in plenty of Natural Burlap String bows, and added a Bronze Rusty Pear-Shaped Safety Pin from our Embellishments selection.  I also added several Wine Red Miniature Double Head StamensFossil Miniature Double Head Stamens and Milk White Miniature Double Head Stamens.  And finally, I cut and tucked in even more of the Miniature Double Head Stamens and the pieces from one cluster of a Red Berry Bead Cluster Spray.  There are truly SO many lovely touches at Really Reasonable Ribbon to give your projects all the beautiful extras they deserve.
Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at this sweet and simple card.  Really Reasonable Ribbon makes it super easy to give your cards and projects those special touches.  Why not stop by the store and do some last minute Christmas shopping for the one person who wasn't on your list.....yourself.  These treats will DELIGHT you!

For today's card, I started with some cute patterned papers and chipboard from a Carta Bella line called Christmas Delivery.  I put my card base all together using strips of Scor-Tape, and I added a small paper bag where I tucked in a coffee gift card.  I ran a width of Silver Seam Binding across the card, and used the Silver Seam Binding along with a piece of Olive Wrinkle Ribbon.  Next, I added a piece of bundled Red Burlap String, and tucked in some Red Double Head StamensMilk White Miniature Double Head Stamens, and a few Matcha Green Miniature Double Head Stamens.  The coffee cups were stamped with a (retired) set from my stash.

As I've mentioned before, I'm smitten with the adorable new Embellishments found at Really Reasonable Ribbon including the cute Bronze Pear Shaped Safety Pin I used that's holding a cute little tag stamped with the word Coffee.  These darling Pear Shaped Safety Pins cost just $2.19 for 100 pieces, and they come in various metal finishes.  Aren't they just SO cute?  There are so many great Embellishments at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and you'll be amazed at the wide variety of awesome products you'll find there.  It's worth a look!

On The Menu....Peppermint Candy

Hey there, everyone!  Welcome by today as I (Karen) share an extra sweet card I created using lots of fabulous products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used some older Crate Paper (Peppermint) patterned papers, chipboard and stickers.  When I saw that chipboard sentiment (Peppermint Candy), I knew right away that I wanted to add a real peppermint stick or candies to  my card.  I attached my patterned papers using a fabulous Adhesive called Scor-Tape, and I inked the papers' edges and then machine stitched around the upper edges.
At the center of my card (or just below center actually), I added a "menu" journalling card and half of a white doily; and then I ran a width of Baby Pink Seam Binding across my card.  I tied the bow with more of the Baby Pink Seam Binding along with some Bay Leaf Seam Binding, and a bundled length of Red Burlap String.  There are also lots of my very favorite Embellishment of all....loads of gorgeous Red Double-Head StamensWhite Double-Head Stamens, some Baby Blue Double-Head Stamens, and even a few Aqua Double-Head Stamens cascading through my bow to highlight that sweet peppermint stick.
I topped that sweet bow cluster with some beautiful Open Red Roses, and some Open Roses in pinks from the lovely Mixed Pinks 10mm Open End Roses.  All the pinks in this sweet set are absolutely GORGEOUS...just like all the wonderful Mulberry Flowers found in the RRR Shop.
Thanks again for stopping by today.  I hope you'll be sure to stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for even more fabulous inspiration and for updated information about special sales and events (such as our monthly Blog Hops) taking place.  We always love to have you visit, and we're happy to answer any questions.
